THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE QUALITY OF THE FLOWERS AND A SPEEDY DELIVERY!…read more I searched for weeks for reasonably priced gumpaste flowers for my wedding cake. I learned that by being resourceful I don't have to pay $300 and up for a wedding cake! I made a deal with a local baker and all I needed to do was purchase my own gumpaste flowers and ribbon for a simple 3 tiered white cake. I purchased the 3 Rose spray (Size XL) to use as a topper. The flowers came in the mail 48 hours later from NY to Vegas!.....keep in mind I only paid for standard shipping which was supposed to take up to 9 nine days. The bright yellow of the mango and the purple of the ube are unique, as well as the exotic flavors. The cake itself is light and sweet without being cloyingly sweet and the cream is not as heavy as American or Italian style bakeries. We also ordered their Filipino style empanadas with different meat fillings, 2 each of chicken, pork & beef. If you buy 6, you get a bonus empanada, but they threw in 2 extra ones this time! Each meat flavor comes in a slightly different shape to tell them apart. They are baked and not fried like some other meat pies, so the crust is more pie-dough-like instead of crispy or flaky layered. The chicken empanada is just like a handheld pot pie and tastes exactly like one, too!

How can you expect them to work in such bad conditions and not even be there to help them. Turn on the AC for Christ sakes. I wish I could have done more for the workers.

This location is conveniently located outside the Jackson Heights subway station so you can get a quick bite before or after work. The food for the most part has been fresh. There are plenty of options to choose from -- though I do think it is a tad bit more expensive than Rainbow Bakery. Service-wise -- the employees are friendly. They speak Mandarin as well so if you are a native speaker, you can get your point across faster. You can always eat inside, but from what I've seen the bakery has usually been pretty packed during the morning hours so you have to be lucky to get a spot. Also, because it is located near the subway station, I've seen instances where homeless people would come in and beg for change. Overall, a decent spot for baked Chinese goods and milk tea drinks.

The staff is really nice and easy-going. Also, the young (I think) 2nd Gen owner (very cool seeing the culture carried on) is there a lot. Everything is freshly baked and a good portion. Even the sandwiches and salads in the packaged food case look really good. I've had the custard cream bun, hotdog garlic roll, & a egg, ham & hash brown roll (wasn't a huge fan, the hash brown doesn't stay crispy). I've tried the Portuguese egg tart (Pastel de Nata) & that wasn't so great - reminded me of the egg tarts from Aldi, sweet bland filler custard. The staff can heat the pastries up for you, but it might take at least two rounds for larger items. Highly recommend the round fried rice flour/mochi doughnut, soboro bao (the peanut butter crust-topped bun) & if they have, a coffee/mocha shell-topped bao. You can't go wrong with a Korean chiffon cake slice - not too sweet, and light as air buttercream. Not sure if the strawberry cake is based off of Japanese strawberry (birthday) cake. I've never had their drinks, so don't have a review about them. I don't get the impression that the drinks are the strength of the café. Paris Baguette is a chain from Korea. I think their cafés in Korea are a lot bigger and very nice/comfortable, the US version is a more minimal and quick service kind of set up. For $4 -15 you can get a decent pastry, sandwich, or salad which is a great option for the area, LaGuardia Community College students & hotel guests nearby.

They just opened at the end of April to early May 2022. From the name of this shop, i naturally assumed they only sold pastries. Aside from pastries, and to my surprise, they also sell diner fast food (i.e., burgers, chicken sandwiches, french fries, etc.). I had no idea. The name can throw one off. People would naturally think it's a pastry shop. It's an interesting mix of fast food and pastries. They have a decent selection of sliced cakes/pastries, which include red velvet, creme brulee, strawberry shortcake, and tiramisu. I believe they also prepare large cakes for special occasions like birthdays and weddings. I was really happy with my purchase and would totally return. The place is clean, has seating, and the cashier was really nice. It's also just nice to see more variety of stores opening in this area. The north side of Queens Blvd in LIC is seriously lacking in options. The flavor to the pastries were lite, which i enjoyed because sometimes you just don't want pastries drenched in sugar where it's enough to kill a charging elephant in Africa. It all tasted great and the cream puff with the vanilla filling was to die for! The hot food was really good also. It felt refreshing and not oily at all. I got the banh mi chicken sandwich, along with some appetizers. All were really good. Come check this place out and SUPPORT them!

And cafe is not too loud. Always filled with a good variety of their baked goods and sandwiches. Cream inside is also sweet but not overwhelming and pastry got a nice crunch. Would get this again. I've heard from another location's pistachio version of this is very sweet so a bit scared to try, not sure if it's diff per location. Dubai pizzeta - also great!
