The ambiance really shines here. It brings in lots of natural light without getting sun in your eyes. And just overall has an adorable vibe. They always seem to have a service-related activity for customers (if they so chose) to decorate paper bags for the kids lunch program -- so cute and love to see a focus on giving back! We ordered two things off the summertime specials menu -- both were very good. The quiche puff pastry dough was AWESOME and the cannoli pancakes did not disappoint. The only thing I would like to see in the future is an espresso bar! A hot cappuccino or latte would have topped it off for me but it's just not something they do at this time. Cute place. It was not hard to get seating on a sat at brunch time. The place is very adorable, staff is friendly. The service is quick. The smoked salmon Benedict was perfect. The side salad was refreshing. Honestly the perfect amount of food and I felt good after I ate. Rosemary is not too overpowering which is what I worry about with focaccia and the potatoes. Stopped in for a quick Bloody Mary to kick off a sneaky day off before shopping. The drink was pretty standard--nothing memorable, but not terrible either. Unfortunately, I stepped away for a minute and came back to find my table cleared and drink gone, which was a bit of a bummer. Our server was friendly without overdoing it and struck the perfect tone between checking in on us and giving us space. Five stars! However, the food was terrible. I ordered the Morning Belle Benedict. It came out on burnt, hard bread and an overcooked egg with flavorless paprika and sauce. The entire point of an egg benedict is the running yolk and this was so hard. Also, the side salad was wilted, not fresh, and depressingly sunk into the plate. It was so bad. I gave Morning Belle one more chance and it was disappointing again. Decor and ambiance was a B+ or A - Clean and bright, but sterile, and not warm and inviting. Food was a C- Below average. There are several other places in Grand Rapids that put on a far better breakfast. I ordered the shrimp and chorizo and grits. The flavors just didn't meld well, and the chorizo was burnt. At the other locations, I've loved Morning Belle's boozy breakfast drinks This location isn't quite ready to serve cocktails, though, but it's coming I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast and a side of bacon. Although I have a major sweet tooth, some other plates I've had here are like a VERY rich type of sweet that although I appreciate, I know many people don't However, this French toast does NOT fit in that category, in my humble opinion. It's definitely sweet, but has some balance. In all honesty, it kind of just tasted like regular French toast and I'm curious if the waitress misheard my order. My fiancé got the crème brûlée banana french toast. This was definitely one of the sweeter dishes, but it was SO yummy. The fruit flavor complimented the caramelized bananas so well. The cinnamon roll was just okay- yummy enough to eat, but a little underwhelming. Whether you've been to their other locations or not, this is definitely somewhere you want to check out! read more

I was promptly served a glass of water and coffee. I ordered the farmhand omelete with gluten free toast (very lightly toasted but I ate it). I was dying of hunger and needed something to eat quickly. I love the food out here in Grand Rapids, so I knew no matter where I went, it would be good. I found this place randomly on yelp, and it all sounded so good, so I stopped in and grabbed a seat. The decor here's very clean, inviting and relaxing. I love how Zen it is. Made me feel right at home while I reviewed the menu. I wasn't sure what to get, but didn't want to gorge myself, so I went with the French Toast. The food itself was good, and I really really enjoyed my time here. Staff was very professional and overall a fabulous place. Seems to be very popular amongst the locals, which is a good sign. A great mix of people. I was seated next to two older ladies catching up on the friend gossip (I couldn't help but listen, I mean we were literally inches from each other. LOL.) Young couples, people just living their best life. Prices on average run about $12 to $15 a person, and they have booze here. If so, add another $10 to that tab, per person, per drink. Tried the new location for morning bell on a Sunday with my family. Got in line online. Waited a few minutes after seating time to get seated. Waitress forgot to leave water carafe at our table for refills. Was attentive to soda refills. Restaurant was pretty busy, waited an expected amount of time for our food. 1st 2 dishes delivered to the table (my bowl & hubby's French toast). A few minutes later the other 2 dishes delivered (Olmert & egg plates). Food was very good. Waitress actually cleared my daughters plate as she was eating her last piece of toast! We had a good laugh about it, but seriously, she wasn't done eating. Pay at the front is the standard here (too bad can't pay at table/qr code). Went for brunch on a mid morning Sunday . FIve in all. Very crowded so glad I had wait listed. We got right in. Order took a bit but as I said it was full. Service was good considering. It was quite noisy with nothing to absorb sound and a full vocal house. But again as you'd expect for most restaurants. Food was good though not markedly above average. Egg whites were clear, snotty, and undercooked, I got multigrain toast when I asked for sourdough, and the potatoes were so logged with grease that it saturated everything on the plate. Bacon was burnt on one end and raw on the other end. This could have been addressed if our waitress returned to our table during our meal but she had other things occupying her (in a half empty restaurant). I'm not terribly particular but this was pretty horrible. Not a chance I would ever come back again. It's a shame because the East Beltline location is exceptional. This may be my new go to breakfast spot! I have been to this Morning Belle location three so far -- My first visit was during their friends and family soft launch (prior to opening day on 12/08). I sat at the bar alone and within minutes had coffee brought to me by one of the hostess, Cynthia, who proceed to inform me that my server, Hailey, would be right over. Both Cynthia and Hailey were super kind and helpful during my visit! Along with my coffee I ordered some Morning Belle Pancakes and Bacon. Between the time I sat down, looked over the menu, ordered, and then actually received my food I would say no more than 15 - 20 minutes had passed. My other two visits since then have been equally as pleasant experiences! The servers (Alan and James, others seemed great, too!) and the friendly service that they provide was wonderful. Again, the was able to receive my food within 15 - 20 minutes of being seated. And of course, the food was delicious! Along with the Morning Belle Pancakes, I have also tried the Classic French Toast and Dark Chocolate Brownie Pancakes; both were rich and flavorful! During my most recent visit over the weekend, I learned that they received their liquor license and were now serving Cold Brews and Mimosa's. I couldn't resist trying the Cold Brew with Baileys and Caramel Sauce, great addition to start your morning! Overall, I have been incredibly pleased with my experiences at Morning Belle. The atmosphere, food, and staff, defiantly makes me want to come back time and time again.
