A more upscale brunch spot, this place had all the usuals for breakfast food. Plenty of parking in the Breton Village lot, and the interior is bright and welcoming. Had the Farmers Bagel Stack - basically a bagel sandwich - which was delicious. I wish the portion was bigger but I think that's more on me than on them :-) read more

I left a poor Yelp review a couple of days ago after a not-so-good dining experience at this restaurant. I would like to update it to state that our disgruntlement was with very poor service and being treated not very well. The food and the drinks were outstanding. However, I wanted to come back and make it right because the restaurant reached out to me and are doing everything to make this right for us. We are not after money, and just want to state that with Customer Service going downhill kinda everywhere nowadays, it was absolutely amazing & refreshing to be treated this kindly by the store. The food tasted good but my smoked salmon Benedict came out room temp. The poached eggs were over cooked and had no runny yolk. The hollandaise was gelatinous. My husbands ham was burnt on the bottom of his meat lovers bowl. The restaurant was fairly empty so it's not like they were busy. read more

The ambiance really shines here. It brings in lots of natural light without getting sun in your eyes. And just overall has an adorable vibe. They always seem to have a service-related activity for customers (if they so chose) to decorate paper bags for the kids lunch program -- so cute and love to see a focus on giving back! We ordered two things off the summertime specials menu -- both were very good. The quiche puff pastry dough was AWESOME and the cannoli pancakes did not disappoint. The only thing I would like to see in the future is an espresso bar! A hot cappuccino or latte would have topped it off for me but it's just not something they do at this time. I'll start by saying the service during our visit was awesome, our waitress was very nice and super fast, she was great! Unfortunately, the food was not quite up to par with the service. My girlfriend and I both ordered the Breakfast #2, she ordered the waffle and bacon, I ordered the pancake and sausage. We added a side of the signature potatoes, as well. The scrambled eggs came out slightly burnt for both of us, her waffle was pretty hard, and my pancake had a "weird" taste, for lack of a better description. We also both ordered lattes, her vanilla and myself hazelnut, and when both came out they tasted very strongly of chocolate milk, of which we did not order them with. I would say overall the food wasn't terrible, but I also couldn't say it was good, either. The ambience was average, I would say maybe slightly judgy, but that isn't the restaurant's fault, maybe just the area it's in. Lastly, I would say that the price is incredibly fair, and the menu is large, there definitely is something for everybody there! read more

Our server was friendly without overdoing it and struck the perfect tone between checking in on us and giving us space. Five stars! However, the food was terrible. I ordered the Morning Belle Benedict. It came out on burnt, hard bread and an overcooked egg with flavorless paprika and sauce. The entire point of an egg benedict is the running yolk and this was so hard. Also, the side salad was wilted, not fresh, and depressingly sunk into the plate. It was so bad. Also, the coffee is not good either. It needs lots of cream to mask the taste. read more

I gave Morning Belle one more chance and it was disappointing again. Decor and ambiance was a B+ or A - Clean and bright, but sterile, and not warm and inviting. Food was a C- Below average. There are several other places in Grand Rapids that put on a far better breakfast. I ordered the shrimp and chorizo and grits. The flavors just didn't meld well, and the chorizo was burnt. The grits were also sub par and reminded me of boxed instant grits. No issues with the staff. read more

At the other locations, I've loved Morning Belle's boozy breakfast drinks This location isn't quite ready to serve cocktails, though, but it's coming I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast and a side of bacon. Although I have a major sweet tooth, some other plates I've had here are like a VERY rich type of sweet that although I appreciate, I know many people don't However, this French toast does NOT fit in that category, in my humble opinion. It's definitely sweet, but has some balance. In all honesty, it kind of just tasted like regular French toast and I'm curious if the waitress misheard my order. My fiancé got the crème brûlée banana french toast. This was definitely one of the sweeter dishes, but it was SO yummy. The fruit flavor complimented the caramelized bananas so well. The cinnamon roll was just okay- yummy enough to eat, but a little underwhelming. Whether you've been to their other locations or not, this is definitely somewhere you want to check out! read more

I was dying of hunger and needed something to eat quickly. I love the food out here in Grand Rapids, so I knew no matter where I went, it would be good. I found this place randomly on yelp, and it all sounded so good, so I stopped in and grabbed a seat. The decor here's very clean, inviting and relaxing. I love how Zen it is. Made me feel right at home while I reviewed the menu. I wasn't sure what to get, but didn't want to gorge myself, so I went with the French Toast. The food itself was good, and I really really enjoyed my time here. Staff was very professional and overall a fabulous place. Seems to be very popular amongst the locals, which is a good sign. A great mix of people. I was seated next to two older ladies catching up on the friend gossip (I couldn't help but listen, I mean we were literally inches from each other. LOL.) Young couples, people just living their best life. Prices on average run about $12 to $15 a person, and they have booze here. If so, add another $10 to that tab, per person, per drink. A nice take on breakfast fare. Great, attentive service. I had the chorizo and shrimp grits. A nice blend of flavors and textures to wake up the younger and mind. The chorizo was a bit too done for me to go 5 on this but a 4.5 for sure. My wife ordered the quinoa garden bowl. A light roast of quinoa with Siracha brought out flavor but not the heat. Morning Belle seems like the popular place for brunch. There was a waitlist when I arrived but as it was only me, I was given the option on sitting at the bar. Service is great, attentive and fast. I was promptly served a glass of water and coffee. I ordered the farmhand omelete with gluten free toast (very lightly toasted but I ate it). Tried the new location for morning bell on a Sunday with my family. Got in line online. Waited a few minutes after seating time to get seated. Waitress forgot to leave water carafe at our table for refills. Was attentive to soda refills. Restaurant was pretty busy, waited an expected amount of time for our food. 1st 2 dishes delivered to the table (my bowl & hubby's French toast). A few minutes later the other 2 dishes delivered (Olmert & egg plates). Food was very good. Waitress actually cleared my daughters plate as she was eating her last piece of toast! We had a good laugh about it, but seriously, she wasn't done eating. Pay at the front is the standard here (too bad can't pay at table/qr code). On a busy day it's awkward & crowded at the host stand to pay. There are actually seats for customers to eat at around the host stand. read more

First time here and really enjoyed this bright, clean, and fresh breakfast restaurant. Our waiter, James, was engaging, answering any questions we had and also making sure our requests were accommodated by the kitchen staff. Coffee was hot and delicious-- I love when the table has its own full pot so we don't have to wait for refills. The breakfast chimichanga was satisfactory, but not exactly what I was expecting. It was filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, mashed avocado and quest blanco cheese with cherry tomatoes on top. While it tasted good, it was pretty diminutive and hardly the size of a regular chimichanga. Thankfully I had ordered a side of cheesy grits which more than made up for the lacking main dish. The grits were full of cheese yet light and fluffy -- absolutely delicious! Next time, I'll definitely be trying their shrimp and grits! The Farmhand omelette my friend had was filled with corned beef, onions, Swiss cheese and came with a side of peppercorn gravy. It was very tasty! While the quantity of food on the plates was not as abundant or over filled as most typical breakfast restaurants, the quality of their food was top notch.
