Food was subpar for the price point. We sat outside and the service was like the food. Nothing special. I love the location. Very cute and lots of foot traffic. But probably will not be back.

Littlebird is my FAVORITE smash burger in GR! The milk bread bun is so soft and fluffy, and the meat is the perfect amount of seasoned without being overly salty. I ordered with a side salad instead of fries because I wasn't that hungry, which seemed like an abomination, but I'm glad I did because the salad was great! Our server was great and attentive. We went during lunch time during the week and it was pretty calm, I know it gets quite a bit busier at peak times. Overall, another great experience!

What a great little joint here in Grand Rapids. Had breakfast here. Had the doughnut starter. What an amazing surprise. It was a like surprise in the mouth of flavor and consistency. Then ordered the two eggs (poached) & potatoes along with grilled sourdough bread served with homemade apple butter. Eggs poached perfect!!! Potatoes had a good flavor and crispiness perfect. Washed it all down with cranberry juice. Service was spot on as well. Again great amazing hidden joint to go grab some food.

When I travel, I love trying new places. I didn't rent a car, so I wanted a place where I could walk to, and Littlebird fit the bill. I made a reservation online because I heard they tend to get busy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. For this particular visit I opted to sit inside. When I arrived, I was greeted by Jorge, who was quick to seat me. He gave me a few menus, let me know it was still happy hour (they had multiple cocktails on their happy hour menu, and wine specials). I opted to get a lemon drop. After looking at the menu, I decided to get the heirloom tomato salad. It sounded fresh and delicious and I was looking for something that wasn't fried. When I received this salad, it was a piece of artwork: heirloom tomatoes, beautiful roasted peaches, macadamia nuts, fresh corn, and shashito peppers. This dish was exquisite and hit all the notes I was hoping for: sweet, savory, fresh, and the crunch of the fresh corn and macademia nuts was genius! I then opted for their smashburger with a side of fries. I know what you're thinking "A burger is a burger, right?!?" No. No a burger is not just a burger. I'm not a huge fan of huge burger patties. I feel like it takes away from the dish. When my burger arrived, I was excited to dig in. The smash burger had two thin patties, velvety cheese, dijon mustard, and pickles. I cut my burger into quarters. My first bite was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked, the bread was soft, and the pickles were crisp. This may have been the best smash burger I've had ever. The fries were perfectly cut and crispy enough. Jorge came by multiple times to check on me to see how I was enjoying my meal, filled up my water glass, and was attentive. When I'm back in Grand Rapids, I'll be stopping by Littlebird for that smashburger and the heirloom tomato salad!

Quickly seated in a heated outside spot. Prompt service and friendly staff that were very knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients. Great advice on selections and everything was super fresh and tasty. Clearly a frequent spot for many locals. Keep up the good work!

Stopped here on the way up to traverse city. Cute downtown area / Incredible food. Decent amount of outdoor seating. Friendly service (dog friendly outside). Best breakfast potatoes I've had in a long time - they were crispy and chewy and warm on the inside. Breakfast sandwich was delicious - the mayo was so satisfying. French toast was good even getting it "plain Jane" style! Pleasantly surprised with how good this place was! Definitely stop here if you're in GR!

Great experience at Littlebird! The service was kind and very accommodating. I got the arctic char, and it was cooked perfectly. The roasted beets were also delicious. My dining companions enjoyed their food as well. Everything looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Definitely recommend!

Update 2025: Kristin was AMAZING! So caretaking. I'm handicapped on crutches and she took the time to open the back door leading to the bathroom for me so I didn't have to juggle. She was also an amazing waitress! Hit them up for Happy Hour -ends at 5:30. Unfortunately, they no longer have curry fries, our whole reason for stopping in. BUT, we discovered the pot de creme. Peruvian dark chocolate with a house-made maple miso vanilla ice cream. It was AMAZING! Dream worthy. Add it to the list of favorites I hope never goes away bc we'll be back!

French Omelet - Lump Crab (DD) and breakfast sausage patty. Delicious!

I stopped in for breakfast today 12/10/2025. Cara was our server and she is super nice and very helpful. I had the French omelette with lump crab and a sausage patty. Everything was perfect! This is a nice, quaint little spot and very clean and welcoming.

Tried Littlebird when I was staying downtown at the hotel next door and was blown away! The interior is intimate and lovely, and the servers were extremely kind. I started with the Wagyu beef tartare and roasted beets. Both had the most beautiful presentation and tasted delicious! For my main I had a Dan Dan noodle dish that I devoured. Would definitely come back here again!

Grower Champagne from their cool wine list
    Arturo F.

Have visited twice recently -- once for breakfast and once for dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed both! Food is excellent. In particular, I recommend their smashed burger and fries... it was the perfect meal to soak up a bottle of grower Champagne. Speaking of which, their wine list is small but thoughtful, with options that you won't find at your average bar. Service is quick and friendly. One thing to note is that it's quite small, so there may be a wait at busy times. But it's worth it!

Service from the bartender was great! He really made an effort to connect with the customers at the bar. I had the burger and it was really everything all the other reviews rave about. Bun was good and the patty had flavor and was cooked well. I love a thicker cut fry so was happy with those too!

Popping in on the Friday after Thanksgiving with a friend around 9:30pm, here's my experience. 1) Cocktails: Their menu is large and includes cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and small bites. My friend ordered a seasonal cocktail and I started with the Passion Spritz, which was my favorite with passion fruit and guava. For my second drink, I ordered the French 75, which was average. It has good taste, but it came with a large ice cube. The cocktail was more watered down than ones I've had chilled v. with an ice cube. 2) Service: It was attentive and friendly. We ordered the deviled eggs as a starter. They were made with dijon and cornichons, topped with paprika, chives and lardon. Such a delicious bite. Hubby had the salmon tacos from the daily special menu. He loved the Spanish rice that came on the plate and the perfectly seasoned moist salmon. I had the seafood tagliatelle with shrimp, crab, salmon belly, fennel, and capers in a vodka sauce topped with toasted breadcrumbs. It was amazing! I thought the Ceviche Mixta was ok, though I'm not usually a fan of ceviche, and this was better than most. My least favorite was the Pulpo a la Gallega. While the octopus was tender, it had an unpleasant fishy flavor. I got the Chuletas de Cordero for a main course, and was so happy with the dish.
