A fun date night spot! The vibes are the best part of this restaurant in my opinion. The food is not much to write home about, especially for the price. The service was great!

A very unique dining experience, I wanted to love but it fell a little short. Firstly, they do have their own parking lot which is nice and convenient. I liked the overall vibe of the restored mansion, and thought the different rooms/dining areas were cool. We had made a reservation for earlier in the evening and were seated at a table in the front room after you pass the bar area. I'm not sure if other dining rooms had better service but I think our waiter was also the bartender?? He barely waited on us and time between appetizers to main course was a good 30 minutes. In all that time, we never even saw him to order more drinks or anything. Maybe they were just short staffed that night? Hard to say. Anyway, I thought the food was good overall but not outstanding. I really enjoyed the complimentary bread, especially the one with olives! As an appetizer, I ordered a half dozen oysters, but would pass on these next time. I also had a NA cocktail but unfortunately it was very sugary. Later in the meal I ordered an espresso martini and that was better. We also tried the beet salad and eggplant burrata, which were both good. Prices and portions were reasonable for a nice dinner out.

Restaurant setting in a gorgeous historical house. Beautiful outside and decor inside. A number of different rooms. We were seated in the front library type room with beautiful fireplace and seating areas. I started with a glass of their Trefethen Merlot which was excellent. Next I ordered their Truffle Soup - highly recommend, delicious! My daughter ordered their oysters which were just okay. Next we ordered to share the Beet Salad and Eggplant Burrata which were very good. Espresso Martini for after. All good but unfortunately terrible service. They were definitely understaffed. Very long wait times and waiter not to be found. Hopefully that was an off night. Otherwise I would recommend!

Mangiamos is not just a restaurant it's an experience! We made a reservation and went last night (a Thursday) and it was very busy! That's a great indication of quality and service. Our server Taylor was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the menu both food and beverage. After some discussion and questions we chose the two most popular items on the menu and were thrilled with them. We started with a glass of wine and a craft beer delivered by charming Liam! The pork dish is a shank served over yummy polenta with beautiful fresh root vegetables. It was a generous portion and so delicious that my husband devoured it. It was fall off the bone tender!! The scallops were huge and flavorful served with a fun sauce and fresh broccolini and carrots. This is truly a fine dining experience. The menu includes starters, salads, pastas and entrees. There is also a steak menu with separate side dishes. A fun speakeasy called Mo's is in the basement and has an outdoor fire pit. It was a magical evening for both of us! Thank you Mangiamos (ask for Taylor!)

This former residence, now a restaurant has an amazing ambiance-very moody. Food and service excellent! Would strongly recommend. Cute speakeasy in the basement worth going down for a very creative cocktail.

Took my wife here for her birthday dinner and we were both VERY impressed! First of all, the decor in this restaurant is top notch. It is very high end and luxurious. It is so cool eating at a place that is so much nicer than your standard restaurants. The service was very attentive. Definitely make a reservation. There were a couple open tables, but the place is also very large with multiple dining rooms, so I wouldn't count on just walking in. All of the food and drinks came out with perfect timing, so we didn't feel rushed, but also weren't bored waiting for our order. All of the food was soooo good. You can tell they use great quality ingredients. The prices are reasonable for high-end, quality food. Unless you're getting a fancy steak or lobster, nose dishes were about $25 or so. I will definitely be coming back! It's such a cool restaurant you have to experience it for yourself. p.s. don't forget to find the small, speakeasy type bar in the basement for a cocktail!

Stopped in for drinks and appetizers and wished we had stayed for dinner. This place is breathtaking and service was amazing. Ian was our server and he was so friendly and attentive. The mussels and burrata bread were unreal. Bottle of wine and NA Aperol Spritz delicious. We can't wait to go back and try full entrees and maybe get a drink the basement bar. Definitely a place to go for celebrations and special occasions.

My wife and I along with her son recently dined at Maggie's Mangiamo, located at 1033 Lake Drive SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It offers a sophisticated dining experience within a historic mansion setting. You can't go wrong here friends. The restaurant features intimate rooms with fireplaces, creating a warm and elegant ambiance perfect for convivial conversations with friends our to celebrate a special occasion. The menu boasts a variety of delectable dishes. The ARTICHOKE HEARTS, marinated and flash-fried, served with roasted garlic and dill aioli, are a delightful start. The KNIFE & FORK CAESAR salad, featuring torched artisan romaine, roasted garlic, tomatoes, parmesan cheese, croutons, and house Caesar dressing, is exceptional; the homemade dressing is among the best I've ever tasted. The WEDGE salad, with iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, haystack onions, prosciutto, and gorgonzola dressing, is equally impressive. For the main course, the CONCHIGLIE AL PESTO stands out, combining grilled chicken, sautéed shallots, roasted garlic, tomatoes, parmesan, roasted pine nuts, and a flavorful pesto pan sauce. The GOLD LABEL RIBEYE, a 12oz cut cooked to medium rare and accompanied by horseradish side sauce, is absolutely unbelievable. The BLACK LABEL KOBE HANGER, an 8oz portion, is also noteworthy. PEBBLE CREEK MUSHROOM & TRUFFLE INFUSED BUTTER was served with the hangar steak but not needed The sides of TRUFFLED PARMESAN POTATOES, (so crunchy) and BALSAMIC PARMESAN ASPARAGUS complement the main courses perfectly and were both spot on sides, excellent choices Desserts are a must-try, especially the CLASSIC AFFOGATO, featuring vanilla gelato with freshly brewed espresso, and the CHOCOLATE MOUSSE with berry sauce and bittersweet chocolate. The service is top-notch, making guests feel like royalty. The staff's kindness is evident; they even shared their secret Caesar dressing recipe upon request. Mangiamo is open daily from 4 PM to 10 PM. Reservations are recommended to ensure a spot in this exquisite dining establishment. For more reviews like this follow us on instagram @destinationsweknow

We loved our anniversary dinner at Mangiamo! The vibes were really great inside, perfect for a romantic evening or celebratory dinner with chandeliers and gold silverware and all kinds of pretty things. The cocktails we tried were delicious, their complimentary bread was SO good, our waitress was very kind, and we loved nearly everything we ate! For appetizer you MUST get the fried artichoke hearts, it was our favorite item by far! For the mains we tried the lasagna (massive portion and tasted great), and the shrimp alla vodka (it was just ok, chuck full of shrimp, and we loved the addition of the asparagus). I also recommend finishing up the night with an espresso martini (theirs is really good!). I'll definitely be back!

Great night! Service was friendly and attentive, vibe and decor were perfect. Garlic bread was amazing, salmon was delicious, cauliflower steak was good but not mind blowing. Desserts were good and presentation was flawless. Perfect spot for a classy, intimate night out.

Their happy hour is a great deal and I'd love to come back soon for that again. The salad was fresh and a big portion to share. The raw diced onion wasn't my favorite addition to the salad, but I did love the overall flavors. The savory cream cheese wontons were absolutely delicious - definitely very savory and crispy. Bar seating is first come first served so I went right after work and got there about 4:45. There were a ton of seats open at the bar. A friend met me at 5pm. We were seated with Fin, the bartender. He was awesome- very attentive but not overbearing. I could tell when he was coming by to peek in on us but he never interrupted our conversation. He would glance over and check our drinks and pause, and then keep moving. I'm sure if I was alone he would've provided me with some banter, he seems nice enough. He recommended a cocktail - The Last Word. I've had one before and this one did not disappoint. The other drinks I had were the espresso martini and the New York sour- both favorites of mine and done very well by Fin. I love that this bar uses frosty glasses for their cocktails. It's a nice touch. I had to have the Wagyu meatballs. They're mentioned in many reviews and people at work agreed they're a must have. My friend wasn't very hungry so I ate 5 out of the 6 haha. The bread that comes w it is a focaccia that is his divine! I thought it was deep fried but it's just soaked in oil and then heated on the griddle. The meatballs are Wagyu 75/25 so kinda fatty but so smooth. They are served with a marinara sauce and ricotta. So good. Would get this again. The menu looks awesome but we were just there for drinks and snacks. Next time I'll make a reservation (Resy) and have dinner. Parking is typically awful. No valet. Bathrooms are multi sex unistalls, clean. The restaurant is noisy- maybe not a great first date spot. Seemed to be a lot of well to do people in the restaurant, based on the outfits and accessories I saw. Might be a place to meet someone new if it wasn't so loud and incredibly busy. It's hard to get a table during dinner hours especially if the weather is perfect. But try your best to get in. They do take walk ins and it's worth an hour wait.
