So glad a friend recommended this place! Such a cool environment - swanky bar, comfy cocktail table chairs and booths. Love the menu, which is split up into different themes. There were at least one or two cocktails on each theme that sounded delicious, and a little something for everyone! They even have mocktails, if you don't want an alcoholic beverage! I had the word to the wise- their take on an old fashioned and it was great! Next time I will definitely be trying the Five Points Kelly! Attentive waitress and bartenders. Great sport for a date night or after work cocktail !

A wonderful cocktail bar on the Bridge Street! The place offers an intimate yet classy vibe with amazing drinks and a highly attentive staff. The menu is very creative and unique. We were not disappointed by any of the drinks we ordered during our visit!

Five Points Kelly (on L), Peruvian Blue Pill (on R) during "Apothecary" menu

My husband & I found this gem on our first visit to Grand Rapids, MI. This place has a terrific concept whereby all the bartenders participate in the menu, which rotates and has a theme. Plus, and as many ingredients as can be made in house are created on site. When my husband & I visited, the theme was "Apothecary" and I enjoyed the Peruvian Blue Pill while my husband enjoyed the Five Points Kelly. See attached images from the menu. Jordan, our primary bartender was so great to talk to. He asked us about ourselves and recommended other cool places for us to try & asked for recommendations in our hometown. I was so pleased I sent an email to Diners, Drive-ins & Dives to encourage Guy Fieri to visit. We would definitely make this "our place" if we were locals :).

Great spot for unique delicious cocktails! We stopped in before a night out and had a great time. It's quaint with very relaxing seating and super cool bar. The manager and server were super attentive

While I'm much more of a beer person than a cocktail person, it is nice to change it up sometimes. I stopped in here with a group of girlfriends on a Friday night after dinner across the street. We were surprised that they were able to seat our group of 5 right away! It's definitely a darker, loungey environment, made darker by the rainy weather. I didn't feel like it was too dark though, and I like the lighting accents. Not terribly surprising, the drinks are abotu $12 - $18 each. I had the Dock of the Bae, and as described on the menu it is "fruity but not too sweet." It was very tasty, and not too heavy-handed on the tequila. We all took a sip of each others drinks, and they were all quite good. I didn't love the uppercut, but mezcal is totally not my thing. I particularly liked the Samurai Retox. I thought about ordering it myself, but was put off by the egg white. It was delicious though! As primarily a beer drinker I probably won't go back often, but if someone suggests it on a night out I definitely will not be opposed!

It seems like a new cocktail bar is opening weekly in Grand Rapids these days. It's fun to check them out and try a new drink every once in awhile, so Nate and I went in recently while in the area trying some new spots. Drip Drop is located in the former upstairs area of Sovengard, right next to Fratelli's on Bridge Street. The spot is cozy and very dark. It has a bit of an upscale, big-city vibe, but people were dressed casually. I liked the soft booth seating and the comfy chairs we sat in. The menu is small but had some interesting-sounding options. I went with the dock of the bae, a tequila-based fruitier drink, and Nate got the five points kelly, a different take on an old fashioned. It was SO dark inside, which can be good or bad and maybe I'm getting old, but it was just a touch too dark for me. The dock of the bae was okay; I liked the strawberry vibe, but it wasn't anything super innovative. We both really enjoyed the five points kelly. It was smooth and nuanced with some interesting flavors. It smelled and tasted a bit like anise to me. At $18 it was one of the most expensive cocktails I've had in Grand Rapids, so it's probably not something I'd get often. Prices range from $11 to $18 for cocktails. They also had two beer options (All Day IPA and PBR) and a red or white wine option for $14 a glass. Food options include chips and dip, a cheese and charcuterie plate, olives, and salted nuts. We were only grabbing one drink, and it took a really long time to get our bill. Our server was very sweet, though. I'll probably stick to my favorite spots that are cheaper, a bit more innovative, and closer to home, but I might stop in again if in the area.

NIce little place right near the river in Grand Rapids. Proper artisan cocktails await you in a comfy, small space. Bartenders were skilled and friendly. I got what I always get at any cocktail bar - an Old Fashioned. And they did it right. Had a nice conversation with the bartender cocktail waitress.

    Hanging out at Drip Drop

Hanging out at Drip Drop, the staff Dom and Jordan were the most amazing hosts, the atmosphere is so vibey with the low lights and amazing flavors. I came back for the second time and have had such fantastic experiences with the conversations and chats. I would come here in a heartbeat.

Fun and unique menu! Prices average around $14-$16 per cocktail. The Doc of the Bae was well rounded and was a perfect way to end the night. As the menu stated: fruity but not too sweet. They also change their menu on a regular basis so always a reason to return and try something new.

Love this place! It was perfect for some pre dinner drinks but I could see us coming here for a nightcap as well. We tried their lavender haze, dock of the bar, and their humidor. All came out looking amazing and so fun. The dock of the bae was my favorite. It was fresh and fruity but not super sweet. They have some snacks like olives, nuts, and charcuterie as well. The staff was all attentive and gave good advice when ordering. They were quick and when my husband pulled out his card to pay they came right over with the tab before we even asked. The vibes are chill with a romantic vibe. There is only one rest room that is one stall but the place is pretty small so there wasn't ever a line. I will for sure come back. They had a ton of drinks on their menu and all looked really good.

I always enjoy a good cocktail bar, especially when they have a unique spin on their drinks and the bartenders have the ability to make something up on the fly based on your preferences. While I did not try the latter, we tried a handful of their cocktail menu items and really enjoyed it! The place has a great date night vibe, in the old space of Sovengard (upstairs), as it's super cozy, and seats a decent amount for 2 (though, I'd love for the tables against the wall to be a bit shorter - given there is no food, the excess space on the table makes it harder for you to have convos with your date (if you want to really cozy up). I sat right beneath a light, so I didn't feel like it was too dark, but some parts of the bar were very dark (especially towards the front). Cocktails are fairly expensive though, so if you're going in with that in mind, you'll have a great time!

We came into Drip Drop around 6:30 on a Thursday night, and we were able to be seated right away. The first thing we noticed coming in was the art and the ambiance-we loved the decor and the chill vibe of the bar. We were comfortable right away, and remained so for the duration of our stay. They are fancy and laid back! Looking at their menu, I appreciated being able to see the drinks before ordering. Their spirits cover a lot of range, and they even have more behind the bar. We had the option of ordering from the menu, or asking for the bartender to make a mystery drink. Our waitress was really great with her descriptions and took extra care in making sure our drinks were exactly what we wanted. I ultimately couldn't choose between my two cocktails, so I went with the two I liked the most: Clockwork Chipotle: This was wonderful-while the chipotle was the star of this cocktail, it did not crowd out the rest of the flavors. This one was very complex and well named. Uppercut: This tequila sour was SOUR-this drink made me pucker in all of the right ways. The balance in this cocktail was incredible, and this was my favorite cocktail I enjoyed on the entire Grand Rapids trip. They even feature the picture of this cocktail on their website! The presentation of both was wonderful. The quality was the best we could have asked for, and I even was able to personalize my drinks a little bit more. I was drawn by the spiciness and the robustness of the pepper based agave and tinctures, and was able to get my drinks with more of those presences. Drip Drop was a perfect place for good conversation and a good time. We loved this so much that we came back on Saturday night. For this round, I ordered the Division Bell for something smoky and mellow. This cocktail hit the spot. A Saturday night at Drip Drop was more crowded than a Thursday night but it was still very relaxing and a great way to unwind from the week!

Stopped by for a cocktail before getting sushi last Friday night. Arriving at 5:45, there was still plenty of seating available. The cocktail menu is somewhat short, however it had a good variety as far as spirits featured and flavor profiles. I'd like to see a couple more options. I think because the menu is smaller, some patrons might hesitate to ask for a traditional martini or old fashioned, etc. Judging by the number and variety of bottles behind the bar, they could serve up all the standards if the "House Specialties" or "Classics with a Twist" don't speak to you. My friend really enjoyed her Samurai Retox. I liked the Uppercut, though I feel like the egg white tamed any of the zing I expected out of the jalapeño-infused agave. Loved the interior design and vibe. It did get a little noisy to hold a conversation as it got busier, but that's likely reduced if you're not across from the bar.

So when my family and I were walking around downtown Grand Rapids and needed a place to eat breakfast, we popped into Social Misfits because their menu is basically 90% waffles. My kids love waffles. Every kid loves waffles. Waffles it is! This is a great restaurant for families (because ... waffles), but also a great restaurant for adults because they have a nice selection of creative cocktails in the evening, and coffee in the morning. Social Misfits is basically waffles, alcohol and caffeine, in that order. When we visited in the morning, the adults opted for coffee (really great black coffee!) and the kids both opted for the Little Lad, a waffle topped with strawberries, blueberries and chantilly cream (basically whipped cream, but a little sweeter and whipped a little longer). Both of my children ate most of their waffle, which is a big thing, considering they usually eat like birds. We also got the Son of a Biscuit, which was a garlic parmesan waffle topped with chicken sausage gravy and a fried egg. You could add fried chicken to the mix for an extra $6 (we did not). This one was fine, but the egg was way overcooked! Oh well. Lastly: We got the Ol' Blue Eyes, a waffle topped with blueberry compote, lemon curd, whipped ricotta and graham cracker crumbs. This one tasted amazing, but there was so much blueberry compote and lemon curd that it made the waffle a bit soggy. I think the chef was feeling generous with the toppings, but homie needed to hold back a tad. Sometimes, a little bit goes a long way! Fifty percent less gloppy stuff would have made this waffle dish 100% better. If you ain't really about that waffle life, then not to worry. Social Misfits also has a few "not waffles" items on the menu, like salads, sandwiches and a couple of bar snacks. But I think if you visit this restaurant, you need to just embrace waffles. There are more than a dozen different waffles on the menu. They're all fun and well-thought-out. Pick one and eat waffles for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

He would glance over and check our drinks and pause, and then keep moving. I'm sure if I was alone he would've provided me with some banter, he seems nice enough. He recommended a cocktail - The Last Word. I've had one before and this one did not disappoint. The other drinks I had were the espresso martini and the New York sour- both favorites of mine and done very well by Fin. I love that this bar uses frosty glasses for their cocktails. It's a nice touch. I had to have the Wagyu meatballs. They're mentioned in many reviews and people at work agreed they're a must have. My friend wasn't very hungry so I ate 5 out of the 6 haha. The bread that comes w it is a focaccia that is his divine! I thought it was deep fried but it's just soaked in oil and then heated on the griddle. The meatballs are Wagyu 75/25 so kinda fatty but so smooth. They are served with a marinara sauce and ricotta. So good. Would get this again. The menu looks awesome but we were just there for drinks and snacks. Next time I'll make a reservation (Resy) and have dinner. Parking is typically awful. No valet. Bathrooms are multi sex unistalls, clean. The restaurant is noisy- maybe not a great first date spot. Seemed to be a lot of well to do people in the restaurant, based on the outfits and accessories I saw. Might be a place to meet someone new if it wasn't so loud and incredibly busy. It's hard to get a table during dinner hours especially if the weather is perfect. But try your best to get in. They do take walk ins and it's worth an hour wait.

The hotel itself is gorgeous and I was happy we got to experience it all decked out for Christmas!
