On the recommendation of several friends, I met a friend at Basalt on a Friday morning at 8:30am in October. Since it wasn't crowded, we walked in and got a table right away. The menu is Tex Mex. I ordered one Executive Taco on a flour tortilla and the "Zaddies," which are basically loaded tater tots. I enjoyed my food. Nothing was life changing, but everything was solid. My seven-year-old daughter liked her two pancakes. My latte was good. Service was excellent! The only thing to note is that the hot sauce on the table fermented and exploded all over me upon opening.

Basalt is now Asada on Wealthy! you order at the counter and then sit down at your table. the buzzer they give you will go off when ur food is ready. they now offer bbq options (with tortillas). i liked the carnitas tacos i got. the mac n queso has pieces of hashbrowns on the top, so fun! restaurant is tidy and has a good amount of seating. when ur done eating, clean up after yourself!

Basalt is a fun Tex-mex style joint with great brunch and "not brunch" options. 10/10 recommend the mac n queso - it's super flavorful and topped with crunchy hashbrowns. The tacos are great and filling. They also have a good sized coffee menu - the cortado is great. There's also a late night walk up window with items like smash burgers and ramen - looking forward to trying this in the future!

I hadn't been to Basalt in a while (except for the Wikiwiki Poke pop up, which was amazing) so I stopped in recently to get some food. They have table service so I was told to choose anywhere I wanted to sit. The vibe inside is cute and comfortable and I felt welcomed. The menu is Tex Mex with a focus on breakfast/brunch, aka my favorite meals. I went all out and got a ton of food: the taco plate (comes with two tacos and a side), the breakfast burrito, and an espresso drink made with a mix from Let's Stay Home, a local business. My food didn't take long to come out and everything looked so good. I tried the tacos first - I got the mommie dearest and the tru royale. You get a choice of either corn or flour tortillas, so I went with the house made corn tortillas that have a lot of flavor. I especially loved the super crispy hash brown bites as my side. Both tacos were seasoned well, a bit greasy, and so delicious. I barely had room for any of the burrito (I took the leftovers home to Nate), but if you're a breakfast burrito fan, you have to try this. It's stuffed with scrambled eggs, chedar-jack cheese, papas, rice, and your choice of protein, and then they crust the outside with cheese. Wowww, it's so good - and huge! You could definitely split this if you wanted to - but you might not want to. I also loved the specialty drink I had, and check their monthly features as they're always introducing something fun. I loved this meal at Basalt and won't wait so long to come back!

Texmex brunch found here. They close pretty early. The tacos are standard size so on the small side. ~$6 per taco. The egg and sausage taco was as expected. Not big on flavor. The hash browns were a large portion. Fried crisply. It was decent but tasted kinda flat after a few bites. Overall, good quality food with cute presentation but flavor slightly lacking.

The atmosphere was as you would expect a popular Tex-Mex breakfast spot to be...Packed and vibrant. Just the kind of place you'd want to be to supercharge your day before heading out the door. I was greeted with a warm smile by Andrew, my server. I told him that it was my first time, and before I could utter anything else I was provided a menu and a cold glass of water. Although I had already done my pre-visit investigation of the menu to figure out what I wanted, Andrew was very helpful in giving me all the specifics I needed to make a decision about which dish I wanted to go with. I'm not much for flare, so I decided to keep things simple and go with the breakfast burrito. I specifically went with the red chorizo. And OH MY GOODNESS was that a great decision! This burrito was so delicious! I'm telling you...eating a cheese-wrapped breakfast burrito with chorizo, egg, cheese, rice, and potato delivers a rich and savory experience that will have your mouth craving more! The combination of spicy chorizo, fluffy scrambled egg, gooey melted cheese, hearty rice, and tender potato creates a medley of flavors and textures. The cheese wrap adds a creamy and slightly tangy element, enhancing each bite. Needless to say, it is so worth the price of admission. I ordered a side of hash to accompany my burrito. The hash itself wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Perfectly crispy & not too oily. But the star was the spicy ketchup sauce on the side.... Man, when I tell you that it brings flavor, it's literally the perfect combination of sweet and savory. It also has a low level heat that takes regular hashbrowns to a whole other level! So good! All in all, I was really impressed by the whole experience. You won't be disappointed taking a chance on this hidden gem!

Service was quick, efficient, and everything came out to order. The food was good. We tried a protein bowl, a couple tacos, and a three buds dip trio. The Street Corn dip is amazing, but neither of us were fans of the dirty queso. There was a single piece of chicken in it, which was huge, just not super scoopable! Tacos were delicious. It's already summer at Condado, which also means $6 frozen margs! Of course, I had to indulge and the prickly pear lavender single-handedly will get me back to Condado all summer. My fiancé was eager to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs, so we were delighted to see that there were screens playing popular events and a couple shows to enjoy over dinner. This is a great mix between your typical bar & (non-authentic but tasty) Mexican cuisine.

We went for a family dinner on a Sunday with a group of seven, including two kids, and had a great experience from start to finish. Kids eat free on Sundays, which was such a nice surprise, and the kids' menu is generous with great options--an entrée, a side, and a drink. My husband and I also enjoyed flight night, which was a lot of fun. I tried the strawberry, prickly pear lavender, and harvest pear margaritas. They were all very good--while the prickly pear lavender sounded better than it tasted for me personally, it was still enjoyable. One of my favorite things about Condado is the customization. Their signature creations are great, but being able to build a taco exactly how I want it is my favorite part. And I could honestly live off their corn salsa--it's so good and always a must-have! The restaurant was super clean and not very busy when we visited, so we were seated right away and our food came out quickly. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, especially with our energetic little ones. It was also the first time our parents had eaten at Condado, and they loved it--they're already talking about going back to try more tacos and dips. We had such a great experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend this location!
