I ordered the eggs Benedict Florentine and was not disappointed. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the fresh spinach was delicious. My husband ordered the Frittata filled with veges and potatoes. He was concerned about the salad on top, but said the flavors work well with the rest of the dish. Why go out of town and not have Brunch the best meal of the day! My friends and I both agreed to go to Morgan's as it was in both of our bucketlist. Great minds think a like. So much alike that we all ordered French toast. Mean all 3 of us! I ordered Vegan French toast just to be different. Calm down everyone I am not vegan. And yes that is Cheddar cheese on my eggs so need to call the Vegan police to arrest me, Lighten up. It was Simply preference. Nonetheless it was still great! We came to celebrate brunch with a group of friends on a Sunday afternoon. We had made a reservation which was fine however they sat us in a secluded room. This was alright, we waited about 20 minutes to order, A little longer than I'm used to but alright. The food was good, I had the chicken and waffles and a latte. This was on point! The chicken was seasoned well and the waffle was delish!! I must say the server was a bit strange in that she forgot we ordered a second round of drinks and she spilled a water glass on the table. The glass broke and the shattered glass fell on my friends lap. That must have been the worse experience in a restaurant. First and foremost, the service here is rather quick, which I love. When you're hungry, you don't want to wait forever on your food so that's my first observation. I ordered the basket of cornbread and lentil soup so start with. The lentil soup is vegan which was a huge plus and tasted AMAZING! So hearty and well seasoned. I had to request for it to be heated more since I like my soup extra hot. My only disappointment was the cornbread. It was horrible. Tasted chalky, crumbly, dry, stale etc. I could go on about it but I do not recommend the cornbread at all. The star of my meal was the vegan french toast. Do not be alarmed like I was by the chia seeds on it. It's not mold lol. The chia added a slight crunch which was nice and the coconut cream held up pretty well on the warm toast. The strawberries were fresh and the presentation was good enough to take some nice photos. I ordered a side of spuds (potatoes) and it was delicious. Crunchy and well seasoned. We just had brunch here today for St.Patrick's day and already talking about coming back. We ordered the steak & eggs and the 3 eggs platter plus a sangria and bellini. Everything was DELICIOUS. Hi I traveled to this restaurant because it was labeled BLACK Owned under Yelp search engine. Please Understand I visit restaurants owned by different races. But when I want food cooked like my mother and grandmother I visit Black Owned restaurant .. I had to send back the home fries and GRITS!!! Excellent food!! This time I had a wonderful English breakfast, which was probably better than the one I had in the UK! The mascarpone French toast and healthy smoothies were a nice addition! We go to Morgan's every time we are in Miami. The new location is fabulous - they managed to create a really unique atmosphere, which isn't necessarily all brunch style, but it also has a relaxing zone. We visited Morgan's to check out their brunch, and they did not disappoint. The food was all VERY and the portions were crazy big. My wife's Frittata could have fed 4 and my fried chicken and biscuit was good for 2...needless to say, we had a lot for take home. They have many items that can be made GF, which is what my daughter ordered. We had heard of the crowds at peak hours so we arrived at 8:30 AM. The parking lot and place was almost empty at that hour, but by the time we left around 9:45 the parking lot was full and most of the tables were full. So either go early or get a reservation if you want to minimize your waiting. We all really enjoyed our meals and especially liked the Beignets. The only quirk is the indoor seating is small and all tables are basically around the workflow between the kitchen and the two outdoor seating areas, so if you sit indoors you will be more "in the process"... This wasn't a major negative, but there was constant hustle and bustle of the wait staff. Also, there is an upstairs indoor area, but it was closed. I'll bet that area, when it opens again, is more dining-ish in nature. The next time we're down from one of the flyover states, we'll definitely be back. read more

Had breakfast with a friend here today. Pretty standard American breakfast/brunch food. We shared the raspberry flat cakes and the veggie grain burger. I really enjoyed the flat cakes because the raspberry sauce had ground raspberries in it and was not too sweet. Calling the veggie grain burger a "burger" was a bit of a stretch... was more like a bunch of grains mashed into a patty, and unfortunately fell apart when you tried to bite into it. I'm glad I came here for breakfast, upon entering I was immediately seated on the outdoor seating area, my server was very kind and recommended that I try the brioche French toast and my friend had the chicken and waffles and the strawberry lemonade which was also great. A fly flew into my mimosa, not their fault, but they were so apologetic! I was torn between two things: The Brioche French Toast The Chicken and Waffle Sandwich I ordered the chicken and waffles. Side note: Brioche bread is perfect for French toast! I ordered a mimosa because, why not! I'm not a fan of pulp in orange juice but it wasn't a big deal! Their orange juice:champagne ratio is perfect. The waffle sandwiches looked amazing but tasted bland. The chicken just tasted like it was breaded. It needed some extra seasoning, eggs, bacon or a special sauce, SOMETHING! There was provolone cheese on the sandwich but it just needed a little something more. The waffles were very good! Whatever batter they used for this, I could imagine it would make wonderful pancakes! The waffles were fluffy and the perfect amount of sweet. I was only able to eat 2 pieces while we were out before I felt full. I ended up eating the rest of my meal on our second to last morning in Miami. Overall, I wouldn't order this again. In my travels, I've learned that not all chicken and waffles are created equal. If anything, on my next trip I'd order something else on the menu with a side of waffles. read more

This place is so cute and cool and hip! It's like an old house we had to do a line for a Sunday brunch but I think that's acceptable and means that it's a good place. We ordered some croissants they were amazingly delicious I can still taste them. Mouth-watering ! And then I'm not q big fan of Benedict eggs but the ones I had in here were really good so flavorful and the potatoes so crispy and smooth at the same time. We were seated right on time and service was quick without being rushed so we could get there on time. Our server was super nice and made some recommendations before getting our much needed mimosa carafe. I was eyeing the eggs benedict but I had that the day before elsewhere. I was trying to avoid something bready so I went with the frittata. All the food was great especially my friends bacon... sharing is caring. My only gripe, and I feel ridiculous for even saying this, is that the portions were too big. When my frittata came out my friends were laughing at how comically large it was and the server was like, oh you didn't know it was enormous? Hilarity aside, I didn't even eat half of it and with us going to an event for the day, there was no way I could take it with me. My friends and I visited Miami for the weekend and found this place to eat for brunch on our last day. The weather was amazing, so we decided to sit outside to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. We started off with a pitcher of Strawberry Mimosa and Peach Bellini. Personally, I really liked Peach Bellini over Strawberry Mimosa - it was very refreshing and I would definitely recommend it. Then I got myself a Chicken and Waffle with the side of Maple Bacon and the food was amazing along with the huge portion. It was so good that I literally devoured an entire meal. Vegan and Brioche French Toasts were also very delicious. The service was good and the server was very attentive, but the only miscommunication we had was I wanted Vietnamese coffee when we were done with our meal (since we were enjoying our drinks), but the server gave it to us with the meal instead - just a simple mistake! I went here once 7 years ago and didn't remember. I recently went for a client dinner and was a little hesitant of being excited. This place truly delivered. I had their meat loaf dish which was great. Well seasoned and a hearty mash potatoes. I had the bignets and they are awesome. They come with a strawberry and choclate sauce but you really don't need it. The Beignets are delicious. The portions are huge so that's a plus. Great flavors I had waffles and an omelet, huge portions for the price ( it's a little expensive but you're in midtown Miami, even McDonald's is $15+ for a simple combo lol) service was amazing our server was so nice and she was funny , cracking jokes with our table, there's indoor and outdoor seating. The sandwich was really good and HUGE. In fact all of their portions were huge. I'd definitely recommend splitting their entrees with someone else. The chicken club was really good, and I'd definitely get again if I was in town. All of the other food looked really good too. We went for brunch, and we didn't need a reservation for our large group. The restaurant can get a little rowdy, but they put our group into a private room. The restaurant is in a house essentially, and all of tables are in different rooms, and then there is also a porch. Tried this place out for brunch today and i gotta say... i will be coming back. If you are looking for great, relaxing, weekend vibes this is your place. I came in with my pup and the first thing the server did was bring her a bowl with water and ice. Like, c'mon before we even sat down we were being taken care of and if you want to know the way to my heart starts by loving my 4-legged baby. We tried one of their juices -The Health Inspector- and you can tell them how you want it. We wanted to go light on the celery, how cool is that? Needless to say, it was delicious and refreshing....we needed refreshing for sure because it was super hot. My sister and i shared a Cobb salad with shrimp added to it. Yes, once you add the shrimp it becomes a more pricey salad..but..protein though. Also, this place and portions, whoa, our salad came in a bowl like the ones my mom used to put in the center of our table for dinner. It was huge, we ate all of that protein but couldn't finish the lettuce. We were more than pleased. The table next to ours was a bigger group and every one of their plates was pretty much an exaggeration in size LOL. Underwhelming would be an understatement I never like to knock restaurants but for the price of this place they have few issues I believe that need to be address. First the line . Waiting to getting sucked 30 mins of waiting in line like I was Disney world. There was not host/hosted but rather a frazzled employee would ask you how many . Grant I had 8 people with me so I expected a longer wait for a table . Once we got there, it was all down hill . The service was barley service. I'm sure our waiter was busy but he wouldn't even acknowledge you when you spoke to him . It was weird , half of our table got drinks and the other half got ours around 10-15 mins later. My girlfriends sangria tasted like how I would imagine a capri sun would taste if you left it in your hot car for a few weeks. My cold brew was pretty good and the free refill made the 7 dollar price tag worth while. The saving grace was the sticky bun I can describe to you how buttery and delicious that was 10/10 the rest of the food was meh and I had to return this chia pudding which was hands the most bland thick disgusting food item I have ever been served. It was very much Oliver Twist's grool but worse. The patio area was nice and it's in a pretty prime locale . I'm give 3 stars for the sticky bun And the patio everything else was 1 star. read more

I haven't been to Morgan's for a long time, so definitely need to update my review. It used to be in a less populated area of Wynnwood, but the whole area just keeps growing. They have their own parking lot which is quite large. They said on the phone no reservation was needed. Marketing hint-we will squeeze you in sounds a bit better. They weren't empty but had plenty of space. I think they just had one waiter and one bus boy so both seemed very busy. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the steak and fries. We also ordered the side salad to share but our waiter told us it would be too much food! We shared both meals. I don't eat grits for breakfast but whatever they put in it made it heavenly. The steak was perfectly cooked, as were the fries. My only complaint would be that there was no veggies for a well balanced meal. How did we rectify that? Gulp...with the waffle, chocolate, whipped cream and vanilla dessert. Yum. Morgan's is cute with lots of plants and a rustic cozy atmosphere.
