This place is horrific. We made a reservation for two families, with kids, to celebrate a graduation together. The table was not ready and while they scrambled to put something together they asked us if we could be seated separately. We told them no. Then management decided to put a brand new waiter, who told us it was his first day, on a 12 top with children. The poor kid had absolutely no help. It took them 20 minutes to get water on the table. The drinks for the kids came 10 minutes after that. The food came out very slowly. The pizza was undercooked. They completely forgot one dish and did not manage to get it out to the diner who was waiting for her food until everyone else had finished eating. She had to take it to go. No one ever assisted this waiter, and the manager never lifted a finger to help him or to try to expedite the food coming out. Had to ask repeatedly for things like plates, napkins, and water. The mens room smelled vile and there was no soap. Overall the food is mediocre at best. The management (and as a result, the service) of this place is just absolutely brutal. Even the hostess was a grump, didn't even attempt to say "bye" or "thanks for coming in" when we left. Manager standing right next to her as we walked out, also said nothing. Clearly they just don't care and are going through the motions. Wasn't an off night and they were not understaffed. Plenty of workers around to help, but they left this waiter on an island. Given the quality of other pizza restaurants within a mile, there is absolutely no reason to ever go here. Stay away. read more

I'm very disappointed with Moretti's today. I ordered online at 230pm for food pick-up for 530pm. Just one pizza and 3 appetizers, I payed online. My hubby got there at 540pm and had to wait in-line for an hour to pick-up. I get it's quarantine, but this is unacceptable!! I ordered early to avoid this problem. I ordered carry out last night for the family. Pizza, burgers, pasta, etc - almost $90! Drove 15 mins past their MG restaurant to get to EP site, and they forgot one of orders. Argh! Ok. No prob. Called them. Can you deliver it and give me a credit for the mistake... credit yes, but not both. Ok. Deliver it. How long will it take? 45 mins. As you can guess totally messed up the timing for a nice family dinner when one of your family doesn't have their food. Maybe you can remake the order and I'll come and get it... again. Ok sure they said. Wow! I said. Thanks! Very nice of you! (Thought this was a more than great solution. Maybe EP had got it right) I'll be there soon. I double check the order before I left. Yep. Got all the items. When I got home they made two of items wrong. (sigh). Almost, but no cigar. Usually, no big deal on a case by case basis but this happens every time! I'm not exaggerating. We were at this location for a wedding rehearsal dinner, so I'll be fair and say that it's hard to judge this restaurant when they are catering to a larger event/group. That being said, I'm going to judge on our experience nonetheless. The food was so-so... I was hopeful that the pizza, in spite of not being deep-dish, would still be delightful. It was not. It was blah, at best. No flavor, and nothing to make me want to get a second plate. Huge outdoor patio! Came here a few nights ago and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. Our table split the calamari and I got the chicken parm sandwich with a Caesar salad instead of the fries. It was all delicious and tasted super fresh! Absolutely no flavor at all, which might have been from the lack of any sauce. The cheese was burnt and hard. I can't understand how the only flavor from this pizza was cardboard! This Edison Park establishment is more bar than Italian restaurant, but does well enough in both departments. The main building looks like a country inn, and the bar area overflows into the beer garden area, which is the place to be in the summertime. Pizza and pasta are the way to go if you want to eat here, and don't forget an ice-cold beer to go with that. read more

I had been to a private party at Moretti's years ago but didn't really remember the food. Then last night I was meeting with a friend for some dinner and she suggested it. Since I have been just CRAVING pasta the last couple weeks, I was down with anything that sounded Italian. Not only do they have the usual Italian fare (ravioli, lasagna, etc) they have sandwiches, wraps and pizza. Who knew? We started with the fried calamari and then I ordered the lasagna in the marinara sauce. Calamari was crispy and delicious and my lasagna was such a huge portion I was able to bring it home to my husband who then ate it for HIS dinner. My friend ordered a sandwich and they were able to make it into a wrap for her. Flexibility. Nice. Our waitress was attentive enough although she dragged on beverage refills. That's ok... I'm trying not to hold it against her. A private party came in as we were finishing up and it got HELLA loud in there so I was glad we were done when we were. That's for dining. Catering, different saga. Maybe they do well shipping to location but onsite was problematic. Early event needing early access to set up. Late to open despite assurances. Parking valet not available until noon for an 11AM event, despite assurances. Requested ahead of time to know how many persons per table so seating arrangements could go smoothly. Told one thing - they set up another. Phone calls too much bother, email only for communication. Can safely say cannot recommend as an event venue as information given does not translate into reality in the long run and must say I could not imagine depending on them to get things right. Again, go for lunch or snacks or dinner, sit at the bar, enjoy. It's a good meal for a good price and bar service is 5 star. Just think twice before booking a party here. I'm so glad that someone told me about this Moretti's location because I had no idea it was there! We'd been to another restaurant around the corner a bunch of times and were completely oblivious to the secret gem of Moretti's only a few feet away. The food and service are good. We love the pizza! The outdoor seating area is really nice on a breezy summer afternoon. We've gone several time with groups from 6 people to 20 people. Each time we had a good time and ate great food. For the sports fan: There's a bar and LOTS of TV's showing multiple channels. I will warn that you can end up with quite a long wait for a table sometimes... usually on the weekends. Moretti's in Edison Park was our stomping ground in the '90s and there was not one Bulls game we missed. We would make sure someone had a table an hour before and we would order food and drinks all night. We decided to try and re-live some of those good times watching "The Last Dance" Sunday night and ordered out at EP. We would have loved to have sat down and watched it inside, but this was the next best thing. We ordered Tenderloin sandwiches, the Italian combo that night which was chicken parm and lasagna, chicken bruschetta sandwich, and strawberry chicken salad. Can't wait for next Sunday's Last Dance. My husband and I order delivery from here about once a month and love the food. However, we recently called to have food delivered and found out that they did a total overhaul of their menu. Our favorite sandwich, burger, and side item is no longer on the menu (crispy buffalo chicken sandwich, widowmaker burger, and homemade chips). Unfortunately these were our go to items that we always associated with Moretti's, so neither of us could find anything on the menu that sounded as good. We came in on 1/2 off pizza Tuesday night to finally try this franchise at its flagship location in quaint Edison Park. Yikes, this place is massive (and you do need to look around to draw this conclusion)! They have a classic old school setting with dark wood and lots of memorabilia. They also have lots of TV's, so it also makes for a very large sports bar (3 separate bar areas just on the first floor!), and they also have a large, pleasant, and popular outdoor patio dining area. All I could think of to possibly compare this place locally in capacity (counting their patio space) is maybe Bob Chinn's crab house in Wheeling which probably has this place beat capacity-wise. Anyway, on to pizza dinner, and I would rate it a 4 star thin pizza here. We got an 18" thin sausage and mushroom. It was hot, cheesy, and good without being overly greasy. The crust was thin and crispy (cracker like), and also not burnt on the underside. I dropped the overall rating to 3 stars for our outing though as the service was on the slow side on both ends of the dining, and waters never refilled. The pizza itself only took about 10 minutes, so that was a plus. Another plus was they do give you fresh bread and whipped butter. We noticed it got busier and busier just after 7pm, as I'm guessing it takes the commuting locals that long to get settled in at home after a workday and head to dinner. It was relatively quiet at 6:15pm when we got there, but then again it would take a monstrous crowd to fill this place up. Overall, it was good to check out this local institution, and I wouldn't hesitate to return for their promotional night anyway. The beer list is also ok here with some variety (Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin available for example). read more

We sat for 10+ minutes and felt completely ignored (we saw plenty of staff walking the floor and standing at the bar, we were one of 3 tables). We are in Rosemont, IL for a week, so we are looking for a great spot to watch some football but Most importantly the Cleveland Indians as then play the Chicago Cubs in the World Series. Sunday night we went to Mullen's Bar & Grill to watch some football. They need their local @DirectTV guy to come out and adjust their dish. The signal would go out for several min at a time and it was not even storming or windy. After that experience we gave Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria a try. Wow this place is amazing. The best pizza. We went two nights in a row to experience all the great pizza. There house pizza with asiago cheese stuffed crust is amazing! The next day I had the macaroni and cheese pizza. Great place to hangout with friends watch sports on TV. I usually go here to watch college football with friends. This place has a great selection for beer and cocktails. I usually start with their Coconut covered Onion rings which are seriously awesome. They also serve Other Italian dishes like pasta, lasagna etc.... but they are famous for their Chicago style deep dish pizza. This time I tried thin crust pizza and it was delicious. So in conclusion this place is great for people who like to eat pizza, watch Sports and have a good time. They have ample amount of space, and a Beautiful patio for summer. Morretti's is a staple in the Edison Park / Park Ridge area. This is a huge restaurant with a great outdoor patio, separate sports bar and party areas. We come here all the time, but the half off pizza tuesdays is a great value. There are specials every night and they have plenty of TVs for the games. The pizza is a good thin crust. They come out pretty quick - about 20 minutes for a thin crust. Plenty of cheese and toppings - one of the better pizzas in the area. The rest of the menu is all pretty good. Onion rings are a standout on the appetizer menu. The kids really like this restaurant and it is great to watch games at too. This is an overall solid place. read more

We requested the beer list and my partner and I each chose a beer. The waitress returned to tell us that they were out of both our selections and we chose again. She returned a second time to tell us they were out of those selections and brought us a hand written list informing us that the beer list was their summer selection and they didn't have a menu available. We ordered an appetizer of fried calamari requesting both marinara and cocktail sauce. The cocktail sauce was awful they took marinara and added horseradish to it trying to pass it off as cocktail sauce I'm not quite sure why they just didn't mix the horseradish with ketchup as they had plenty of it for their fries and burgers.
