We showed up and it was almost closing time one night after visiting family in the hospital. The entire staff was gracious and friendly and let us in for a quick supper while they cleaned up. Prices were great. The place was clean and the the staff diligent in their cleaning. They served our order quickly. My Italian Beef was the real deal. Nicely seasoned, on good fresh bread. Her rigatoni with marinara was very good too. Four stars for their food, plus one extra star for the late night hospitality.

Easily the best Italian beef I've had in over a decade

No bells and whistles here! Just great, approachable food. You've got to respect a restaurant that has no paintings or art on the walls with an old scool menu board. I ordered an Italian beef and it was easily the best one I've had in years. Not to mention the service was incredibly fast and the food was ready in about 1 minute. This place is for sure a hidden gem, so don't sleep on it.

    Italian sub with giardinara

The only sub they have is Italian which was ok. The chopped salad was delicious. I didn't have any of the pizza or pasta, but it looks really good .

    Great options on the menu.

How come I didn't know about this place years ago? So simple and delicious! Come on in and place your order and the guys behind the counter work their magic. From pizza to salads and pasta dishes. Try the sub sandwich! My little guy likes the meatball sub. The vibe in this place is great. Kind of like half lunch counter half nice restaurant. Always on my list of places to eat when I'm in the area.

The chopped salad is amazing! Just let them make it and get an extra after to have the following day. Sure it's a simple balsamic dressing, but it makes the salad soo dang healthy! Tonight I called just before 8 and ordered a large chopped salad to take with me to Indiana. Luckily I thought to call before 8, bc they close at 8, not 8:30. I zipped right over and found it waiting for me and seeing an elderly man cleaning the floor on his hands and knees shows they take cleaning very seriously here. Not sure; but I have seen him here every time I'm here. Nice guy! Smiles a lot! Sanitizer available on the counter and smiley workers too! So next visit I will get a meatball sub, as this is the will be the 2nd sandwich I've ever had here. The 1st one was the American and delicious!

This is the 2nd time coming here over the past couple of months. The first time we came here, I ordered a ham and cheese on white subway sandwich. The sandwich wasn't that good, and was very dry. This time, we came here to get 2 salads and a pepperonni pizza. Not the friendliest restaurant, but the food smelled delicious. We got our food and opened up our pepperoni pizza box, but it was only a cheese pizza. It was too late to go back, so we ate it. The cheese pizza was just ok, especially since it was made wrong. I think we will have to try a different pizza location going forward.

Extremely light on meat sauce. One and done for sure.

My absolute favorite was the Cavatelli Vodka. I'm a sucker for good vodka pasta and this one was creamy, flavorful, and honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've had in the suburbs. The pizza was also really solid with a crispy crust, and I love that they offer several different crust options to switch it up next time. To end the meal, I had fried dough topped with Nutella and it was the perfect sweet bite fresh, warm, and so tasty. The service here really stood out too. My server was kind and attentive, and I even got to meet Sarah, one of the owners, who was so welcoming and friendly. The whole team made the place feel warm and inviting. They have multiple locations, but the Park Ridge one has a great atmosphere and even a cute patio for nicer weather. It does get busy, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Great spot for pasta, pizza, and a cozy meal.

We've always eaten some small bites at the local food festivals, but I guess we were always under the impression that Panino's only served / was only good for pizza. I was proven wrong, with my first time dining in showcasing their ability to cook some seriously great Italian dishes and changing my mind on this just being an ordinary pizzeria. The dining area is small but cozy, with a cute atmosphere that is perfect for intimate gatherings or family dinners. You wouldn't expect this from their whimsical logo and signage on the outside, to my surprise the area felt welcoming and a bit more upscale, unlike most pizzerias that push for take-out or delivery. For food we opted for the Regina Margherita pizza, Linguine Chicken Tettrazini, and lasagna - all based on recommendations provided by our amazing waitress. For starters we got the riceballs, fried calamari and cream of chicken soup. There was not one thing from this long list that we ordered that we were unsatisfied with, and everything was extremely good, fresh, and of the highest quality. The chicken tettrazini definitely surprised me the most, as I always knew this to be a quick family meal at home made with canned cream soups. This rendition of a comforting dish was definitely more luxurious, cheesy, and made so well. The pizza was amazing, with the dough being airy and crispy and the char from the wood fired oven adding great flavor. The cream of chicken soup was addicting....didn't think that was something I would enjoy as much as I did! The staff here is all so welcoming and attentive. We visited on a Thursday evening for dinner and though tables were filling up with the dinner rush beginning, our waitress was always checking in on us, making casual conversation while juggling all the other patrons simultaneously. It's quite evident that Paninos is popular with the amount of people dining in, taking out, and delivery orders during the short amount of time we were there, so I highly recommend reservations if you have a larger party or if you're planning on having a meal during the weekends!

We were a little surprised when nothing was done for it, which isn't a big deal, but I'll be honest it was disappointing since we did come specifically to celebrate and had talked about it w our server. 3/5 Arancini - Very salty. None of us really enjoyed them because of that. They also came out lukewarm instead of hot. Would have been excellent if it was less salty and came out hot and crispy. 5/5 Fig & Mushroom (subbed for prosciutto) - The menu doesn't specify how the fig is served. Turned out to be fig jam rather than fresh fig, which wasn't what we expected. A little too sweet for me but overall still very much enjoyed it. Their pizza was cooked perfectly with enough toppings and cheese. Very good pizza! 5/5 Braised Short Rib + Polenta - so good! The short rib was excellent, just slightly salty. The polenta was perfect, and it came with a generous portion of wild mushrooms. 2/5 White Wine Cake (recommended as "unique") by our server - This was the most disappointing meal item. Our waitress told us it was special, but it was very bland and didn't match the description or image on their website. Their website showed a cake with a large scoop of ice cream on top, fair amount of whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Ours came with maybe a quarter of the size of that ice cream scoop, a little teaspoon dollop of whipped cream that you eat in one bite and the raspberry sauce was a tiny smear on bottom for decor but there wasn't enough to actually eat it. The cake itself was moist but lacked flavor. It took a really long time to come out, we thought perhaps they forgot, then forgetting we were celebrating a birthday on top of that was disappointing. Atmosphere - Beautiful space, very well done. The only issue is how close the tables are, you can't pull your chair back without hitting someone, and getting to the bathroom requires asking others to move because of how tight the layout is. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would return. While there were a few dishes we wouldn't order again, and others we would. Would love to try the wild mushroom pizza next time! The only thing was that since we had come to celebrate a birthday and didn't end up doing that, the night felt a little less special than we had expected--but still a nice experience overall.

We were in the area looking for a great pizza place, and Yelp led us here. It's a small, cozy restaurant serving authentic, delicious food. We ordered the sampler appetizer along with a vegetarian, sausage, and pepperoni pizza, and everything was outstanding. The service was just as impressive as the food. The owner, Nick, and I ended up talking about our shared love of the Chicago Bears. I learned he's a big Bears memorabilia collector, and to our surprise, he generously gifted one of my kids a pair of Jones #70 shoes from his collection. It absolutely made my son's day and created a memory our family won't forget. We came for the pizza, but we left with so much more than a great meal. Support this business not only because the owner and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, but because the pizza is every bit as amazing as the people who serve it. We'll definitely be back.

I went to their social media page and was sold! This guy loves Chicago-style, thin crust pizza. He swears Chicago-style pizza is the best in the country. That very well may be true, but unfortunately, my experience this night, with this delivery was not it. On a positive note, the toppings were fresh, a bit chunky and fresh. As you can see, I was hungry, so I ate the toppings. The crust was weird. It wasn't really thin. It wasn't thin, and for some reason when I think of thin, I think a bit crispy. Not only was the crust not thin, it was weirdly moist. Moist in that there was a level of it that was verging on, not cooked long enough. I mean I have never, NEVER in my life had bad pizza. This is probably horribly insulting, but I could have nuked a better pizza dinner. The frozen Totino's Party Pizza crust is better than what I had. This was the first bad pizza I've ever had in my life. The wings were okay. I had a salad because they ran out of Arancini. My Diet Cokes were perfect. The older gentleman who delivered seemed nice.

I'm pleased to say that Dino's 50/50 (pep/easy garlic) thin crust was supremely delicious. Sauce, cheese, and crust texture came together with perfect oven timing, neither undercooked or burnt. One important note that supersedes this restaurant and applies to everyone I've patronized in the Jeff-park area. 9/10 thin crust pizza orders come tavern style, whether it's advertised or not. The ingredients cover the entire pizza, there is little to no crust. I may be a traditionalist, but I cherish my pizza crust- there should be at least an inch from the edge and it's absurd to require a special instruction note upon ordering. Many locations have insisted that the onus is mine, and to take responsibility for my crust or suffer the cheesy consequences. Some require the specific length, 1-1/2" space, so it's a well noted, crystal clear, directive.
