I met a group of old friends up here, and we sat at the bar and caught up. It's a typical barroom restaurant, and they have the back area for gambling. I had been here with them once before, about a year ago, and I remembered liking the Light My Fire burger, so I ordered it again. Honestly confused on the low ratings for Morrison! My friends and I make it a weekly stop in. Bartenders are friendly and attentive and there are always people in the bar; doesn't matter what day of the week. They have a nice large bar in the middle of the room with lots of TVs making it a great spot for watching sports. Finally ordered food and was not disappointed. Large menu giving you a lot of options which is nice. I settled on the southwest chicken wrap with fries. A HEALTHY portion, I had to take 1/2 my wrap home. My boyfriend got the Light My Fire Burger which was cooked well paired with fries. We love this place. 08/30/20 - Third time isn't always a charm. I went back to Morrison's Roadhouse and ordered my usual Fat Boy Burger medium rare w/cheddar cheese, bacon & an egg over easy on top. A recipe for perfection? Well the burger wasn't cooked medium rare this time it was brown inside. What I was expecting and what I got were 2 different things. I'm sorry but nothing spoils a burger or a piece of beef for me more then overcooking it. A medium rare is still red inside, nice & juicy and succulent. I was looking at the pictures from my previous visits & literally drooling looking at the juicy succulent red burger. The burger this time was brown inside and definitely over overcooked. It was dry and really a disappointment. I haven't had a Fat Boy Burger in over a year and I was lamenting on how good this burger was to my Yelp friend Tim H. He drove all the way from Naperville to try their burger (I hope he wasn't too disappointed). Usually their burgers are outstanding. The burger prices went up as well from $11.50 to $14.00 but I guess everything going up. A sign "O" the times. The server Britney was a real sweetheart & did a great job. I highly doubt I will ever return. Condom in the bathroom stall; walking to the bathroom it smelled like pot, cigars and smelly old men. I ordered a Reuben. The meat was dry and chewy (like jerky) and the bread was hard and stale. Some of the chips were also stale. I did tell the waitress and she did offer to bring me something else but I declined (we had already waited long enough). Also the glasses (mine was plastic my sister's was glass) were both dirty and smudged. While some of it was just age, some of it was grease. It was just an overall disappointment. read more

There's a big bar as soon as you enter, tv's spread through out the establishment, tables around the bar and another area in the back with gaming. The menu has quite a bit of offerings and it's pretty much what you'd find at other places. The burgers seem to be the highlight of the menu and I tried the real blt one with curly fries. It was good and i finished it pretty fast. Service could have been a little better but it's all good (I'm not a regular lol). Unfortunately we were unable to eat here because they did not offer high chairs or any boosters. The waitress said they were out but they had none because the other family brought their own. They were also not so welcoming when we arrived. My husband asked where he could get a high chair so he didn't have to borrow the waitress but the bartender said to wait for the waitress to get it and at the end they didn't even have them. read more

It's a bar with good bar food that caters to smokers and gamblers. It's called "Roadhouse" right? Did we watch the movie? I wouldn't take my kids there past a certain hour but I go with adults for drinks and really good late night grub. They are one of the only late-night spots around with good food. First time, last time. 10 years as a server and oof that was bad. Do better Morrison. My dad and I ordered steak sandwiches. After 40 minutes of not being checked on by our server he politely asked how long it would be. The waitress responded by saying "see all these tables around, they ordered before you and haven't gotten their food yet" as if that was some sort of justification for a forty minute wait on steak sandwiches. Requested to have my order cancelled. Then after 10 more minutes the manager brings out the sandwiches and tries to guilt us into taking them..and still pay for them claiming we are hurting their small business and they're training a new cook. Stopped last night for a beer with my almost 90-year-old neighbor who happens to be an Army Veteran, he had his military hat on! He wanted to play the gaming machines in the back, but all were being used by the same assumed "regulars" for at least an hour. When they would leave their spot placed an in-use sign on the machine. I asked the assumed manager how I could get him on a machine but was told could not do anything. I get it, understand his reluctance but was hoping for a "let me see what I can do for at least 10 minutes". What I did not get was him telling his bartenders about it. The reaction was grins and a glance over to us, not what I expect for an elderly VETERAN? I am a long-time "regular" somewhere else and their staff is always welcoming to every so often customers, not so at this place! Not my first time having this reaction! I've been coming here for years but it seems they are just over pricing the menu and not caring about their customers. Plus a 15% hike on all food, add that along with a 20% gratuity?? That's insane. Anyways, second time in a row we've had really poor service. They do not have enough waitresses at this place so you wait forever for drinks, refills and anything else. Try to complain?? The grey headed guy with glasses who calls himself a manager should really be educated on what customer service is. After this last experience, I will never go back there. Very often I find the people who attempt to write a review of a place more often actually reveal more about themselves than the place. One of these novices were outraged by the thought of tipping 20%. So, no matter how great the food and service may have been, 20% is never on the table. I guess the feeling of being ignored annoys you because it happens so frequently. Eat at home. Morrison's is exactly what it intends to be. Laid back, sociable, and unexpected really good food rather than usual bar grub. Passing through the area and figured I would give it a try. Bar looked like a fairly nice looking dive bar and the menu looks like a nice restaurant. I ordered a couple apps because they looked a bit different from the usual "bar food".. As soon as it came out I realized it was a whole lot of food for the order. Along with it being a lot of the food, the food tasted fabulous. My complaints are the bartenders were too busy talking to each other to pay attention to anyone's needs. Granted, it wasnt very busy, but that is no excuse for assuming that means it's not pay attention time. My other complaint is a $6.50 Virgin Bloody Mary.. I mean every Dive bar I go to I can get a bloody mary for less and it is filled with BOOZE. Total rip off on the boozeless mixed drink I returned to the bar later in the evening and the virgin bloody mary was 4 bucks which I way more reasonable. The second shift was awesome and friendly. My boyfriend introduced me to Morrison's 4 months ago on a date, and I loved my meal so much, I've come back for more! He recommended the steakhouse wedge ($13), which was is SO good! I definitely want to pay it forward and recommend that salad to you! It has a lot of steak seasoned and cooked to perfection on top of lettuce wedges with toppings on top and a side of their homemade Russian dressing. It's #2 of my all time favorite salads! My most recent visit, I decided to try a burger. I chose the B&B burger, which was a stuffed burger patty on pretzel bun with crispy fried onions, bacon, and blue cheese. It came with a side of homemade chips and a pickle for $10.50. I asked for medium and it came on closer to well-done, but that bother me too much since it was really good! My daughter had the bacon grilled cheese which was basic, but good. They have a bar with a lot of seating, tvs everywhere to watch sports, and a pool table in the back.
