Ropa Vieja Sandwich pressed.
Aaron L.

This place is awesome. Went for lunch on a recommendation and was not disappointed. I had the Ropa Vieja Sandwich pressed. The sandwich was really really good. I just wish i would've gotten a little more Ropa Vieja. They have every kinda baked goodie you could think of. The establishment was pretty busy, almost full, well lit, a very clean. I would recommend this place.

Just a few of their desserts!

Pulled pork is so tender and tasty! Morenos cake ladies always show their creativity and talent with artistic mastery. Steve makes the best cookies in town and the servers are always friendly and caring! THE place we go!

Im really usually here for the guava turnovers and anything else sweet. My aunt loves their chicken and rice but I have a sweet tooth, so yeah, I go to a bakery for baked goods. I like tge atmosphere, they can be very busy on the weekends and during the lunch rush. Everyone I encountered was very nice and warm. My daughter and I love this bakery for our girl dates.

The moment you step into Moreno bakery your senses is assaulted with the smells and tastes of Cuban/Latin cooking. Sometimes I wish they could capture this scent in a candle; I'd buy a dozen. The braised pork is delish. The chicken in yellow rice is outstanding. The meat empanadas are soooo good! They have Cuban sandwiches on two different style breads and you can build your own sandwich. Then there is the bakery side. Miles of shelves with soooo many baked goods. The fudge brownie cookies are fantastic!!

Busy for a Sunday morning. Great coffee quick pastries and hot food available. We had the breakfast sandwich and cafe con leche as well as a few pastries. Delicious fresh and quick. Don't hesitate to try them if you are in the area.

Inside was bright and clean and pink, with cute signs and decorations on all walls. We were immediately greeted and given the spiel since we had never been: cookies with or without frosting, cookie ice cream sandwich with flavors of your choosing, boxes of cookies, or just ice cream. I went with a sprinkle cookie with icing, and it was perfect. I love icing so sweet it makes me shudder, and makes my teeth feel like they are about to fall out, and this hit all those benchmarks. We were told that while the cookies are made in house, the ice cream is not; however, it is made by a local dairy (ice creamery?) and brought in fresh. Go here eat cookies be happy!

In my photos I numbered the $25.99 12 mini cookies with 1 being the best and 10 being the worst. I couldn't label the 11th cookie, but just look at the photo. I did order 2 chcolate chip cookies on the left side. I didn't try all of the cookies, but here is my ranking from best to worst: (Best) 1. Red Velvet - the icing is actually delicious 2. Birthday Cake 3. Peanut Butter 4. Pink Strawberry 5. Stuffed Oreo white chocolate 6. Stuffed Oreo milk chocolate 7. Turtle caramel chocolate 8. M&M 9. Sprinkle 10. Chocolate Chip (I ordered 2) 11. Snickerdoodle Overall, if I came back for cookies, only the top 2 were worth ordering. The brownie you should absolutely get. For any other style cookie, Bake N babes (especially chocolate chip) or Indy's cookies are the best you can get around Tampa Bay.

I seriously talked myself into walking pass it as I kept looking saying OMG You do not have all this goodness right here.. they laughed at me and say come on you gotta try it.. I said nooooo I can't it's not what I walked in this mall for. I continued to the clothing store across from them but leaving out I had to pass Remo's so guess what we found each other and I couldn't pass up those Oreos.. They were everything I thought it was going to be. Sam was working behind the register she was amazing, super sweet and helpful she made sure to go over the menu with and all the extra things i could add. She was working with another gentlemen who was preparing the order. He was delightful very pleasant he really made it extra hard when I was passing by he kept saying "why not" You won't regret it" Listen if you're wanted a super nice treat while shopping in the Brandon Town Center Mall you should definitely try them out. They are right outside Books a Million, so again a place that easy to get to and leave out if you're in a rush. Sam thanks for making my afternoon feel like being at the fair, wanting nothing but the foods lol but less stressful of all the people and most importantly showing me that goodness not only comes with the items on your menu but the people like you and your staff working behind the counter. These were perfect in every way and with that added sea salt caramel drizzled on top I'm still shaking my head.

I was blown away the first time I visited Turkish Kitchen here in Brandon. Tucked away in a plaza along the eastbound side of Bloomingdale Avenue, Turkish Kitchen is literally a diamond of a find. I stumbled upon the restaurant while I was in the middle of moving from Lutz to Valrico - so glad that I decided to stop here to try the food. I love Mediterranean food, and as I passed by Turkish Kitchen I figured that I finally satisfy my craving. There's a bit of beauty as you walk into the restaurant. Not sure how to really describe this, but there was an overall sense of invitation and welcome as you entered. You can tell that there were regulars that dined here, almost like an unspoken homage to the restaurants reputation. Everyone seemed to have their heads in their food which was a great sign that the food was going to be amazing. The smell of the food and spices permeated the dining area as you can take a look into the open kitchen that was there as you walked in. There's plentiful seating, but if you're looking for a hassle free experience, I would highly recommend making a reservation with the host here. The food here is nothing short of amazing. The fresh bread and oil mixture before the meal was incredibly delicious. I ordered the Adana Kebap which was amazing - the flavors blended well together along with the bed of rice it was served with. I capped this off with some fresh Turkish tea which is great in itself. The entire staff were incredibly friendly. My experience here was so good that I took my family here a second time shortly after they moved in after me! Would highly recommend to all locals and those venturing this way from Tampa proper!

I live in Illinois and have ordered pies before for myself without issues. I expected high shipping cost, but when I tried to order pies as a gift I could not get them delivered to an address different than the billing address on my credit card so I made a call and placed the order over the phone. Not a problem, things went as well as one could expect. Several months later (10/23) I want to order more pies for a friends halloween party in Florida and again I try online without success. The site requires billing info first and that defaults to shipping and where you try to change that, it only has info boxes for city, state and zip code. No actual address so when I place the address with city it seemed to work until I typed in billing info and again my illinois address became the shipping address. At this point You cannot continue until you put in the credit card info and place the order. ARGH! I called the store again and was treated rudely as she said she is busy. Well guess what, I also have better things to do than spend hours trying to place an order. She put me on hold and later basically said I need to figure it out myself, she's not taking my order and its not her problem. I sent emails to what was on the site trying to explain the problem just to have my emails ignored. Never will I ever have another Mike's pie ever again. I've been treated better at fast food drive through in a Chicago ghetto. Mr Scott Baker
