We requested to seat near the shaded area, there was no one attend to us. We have to wait for water, wait for some one to take our order and wait for dessert and wait for check. I have to walk to the host to get someone to attend to us. Horrible service. we had pino colada, whole fried fish (quite bland), half lobster for $18 (the only thing I like), watermelon salad (refreshing, but small portion) and key lime pie (the worst key lime pie I had in FL, not authentic, they put whipped cream instead of meringue, the pie is so sour). I think this may be the best fried shrimp basket I've ever had. The shrimp are butterflied then wrapped in a tasty tempura blanket before being fried in a delicate oil. I mention this oil because there's no aftertaste of old oil - the flavors of the shrimp and the tempura seasoning comes through perfectly. Our server was polite, professional and pleasant. We chose a table on the beach and thoroughly enjoyed watching the water birds and boats. I will definitely pin this location in the hopes that I get a chance to come back some day. read more

Amazing sunset, food is good. We had the wings and fish tacos and both were delicious, and service was adequate. The only thing I didn't care for is the small high top table they sat us at. I would have preferred a table with regular chair with a back, not the high top as im old and my back needs support. They put us there because we had no reservations but there were plenty of open tables , so not sure what was up with that nonsense! We have been here many many times and never had a reservation so not sure what changed. Of course we will come back but I will make sure I make a reservation and ask for a.table with an umbrella. Service has not been as dependable as it used to be. Our last two visits staff was setting up for private parties later in the day, and did not ensure the paying customers already there were being served in a timely manner. We watched a few people leave. On this last visit, we stood at the host station for 15 minutes, and then finally had to walk around and look for someone to seat us. They no longer list the 32 oz giant Morada Margarita or Pierre's Punch on the menu, instead they list all the drinks and you can get any of them in the larger size. We decided to go with the Painkiller and the Morada Essence which were completely different than our usual, of course in the 32 oz size. A half hour later, our server brought us the Morada Marg and the Pierre's Punch. We had our hearts set on something different, but went with it since it took 30 minutes to get them and we didn't want to wait another 30. RJ ordered the lobster fritters and I had the snapper special with plantains. His fritters were a little overcooked but my snapper was on point. Will never go back! I'm disgusted the food was horrible. The fish dip was mostly mayo and very runny extremely tasteless and bland. The taco Tuesday fish tacos were also tastes less just tasted like fried food. We also ordered the lobster fritters and side of fries not pictured because I just wanted to get out of there. Again fritters tasted just like fair fried food and the fries were cold and stale. The only thing going for this place is the location/view. It was a hot day starting our Bachelorette Party in the drive to Key West from Miami and we were in desperate need of food and drink. So I Yelped on the road and we took a detour in Islamorada, and found an amazing start to our Keys celebration!!! Morada Beach Cafe is a wonder! Right on the water the sights are beautiful. It's low key, outside and such a hang out spot. We ordered immediately in famish and had the Best Meal!!! Let me say, the food critic in me even if starved, would not post a 5-star unless it's legit. And this place is legit. A ten-star really on the greatest spicy margarita I have ever had. I had the frozen mango one and it hit the spot. Delicious. We ordered our food and around the table was satisfaction. My first meal in the Keys had to be conch! When in Rome. The conch ceviche was a delight. And the discovery of shrimp chips accompanying through, it over the edge in amazement. Two other fish sandwiches ordered with fries- crisped up great. And the seafood mac and cheese we all tried to steal from my bestie! Huge pieces of scallop, lobster, you name it. All food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. What a disappointment! The parking is pitch black and you can't even see where you're going. We checked in because we used opentable and the hostess could have cared less. The food and atmosphere was excellent, service was horrible! Our waiter didn't seem to know what the fish of the day was and didn't care to ask. He said it was grouper when we first ordered and then said it was mahi and snapper when he brought us our food... if it's the fish of the day you'd think it would be the same fish. We came around 8:30 and there were plenty of people there, but most of them were finishing up their meals. Once it his 9 we were the only couple seated outside. Our waiter seemed annoyed and frustrated that we were still eating, even though they close at 10. Maybe he was having a bad day, but overall he had a bad attitude with us for no apparent reason. We stopped in for our last dinner of our trip because we saw a sign out front that said fish fry Fridays. Unfortunately, the fish fry isn't all night, and it's only 5-8pm. We ended up just missing it and stayed anyway. We ordered a pan-fried red snapper dish and fish & chips. Both were good, and the plus was that the fish that came with the fish & chips wasn't oily. Went to the keys for a day trip to celebrate my birthday with my daughter and my bf and only wanted 2 things!!! To eat a whole fried snapper and watch the sunset, and I got both with this place!!! We got there on a Friday around 4:45pm and it was pretty empty so we got to sit wherever we wanted. We picked a table closest to the water of course. And since it's December it wasn't so hot out so it was nice. Fridays they do a fish fry that seemed like a vibe for real. Next time we go that's what I'll do but I was on a mission this time for that whole fried snapper. Our waitress was amazing and so funny with super high energy, I loved her!!! lol. For drinks I got a blueberry mojito and I can't remember what my bf got but we both liked them. For our meals I got the whole fried snapper with the rice and beans, plantain and piklis and it was EVERYTHING I NEEDED! It was delicious and so worth it. My bf got the Rasta pasta and was really disappointed unfortunately. Didn't really have much flavor. The main flavor I actually tasted when I tried it was the coconut milk they add in it. My bf is Jamaican so he's a tough critic to Rasta pasta and rated it 1/10. I'll give it a 3/10 lol. But the view for the sunset was absolutely beautiful. Please if you wanna watch the sunset but don't know where to go please go here. Was recommended this place by a friend. We were on our way down to Key West and ended up stopping off here. The location is great and the atmosphere is really nice. It is right on the water with some amount of little Sandy covering. Even though it was really hot outside, the umbrella kept is really nice and cool. Problem number one was how long we had to wait for anyone to acknowledge at a table. Then eventually we were given water. Then about another 8 to 10 minutes after the waiter come over and introduced himself and asked for drinks. Drinks were blah. Fish was the best part, but just ok. Good batter. . The seafood macaroni and cheese was OK. Nothing special, nothing to write to him about. The fish and chips were OK. The fish was the best thing about it, the batter was really good but the fries were rubbery and overseasoned. All and all, definitely an experience I will not need to probably ever again. read more

I ordered the zesty organic wings and the mahi mahi street tacos- nothing special about either. Also tried the strawberry shortcake for dessert, which was a bit too sweet for me (lacking tartness). The service was friendly and accommodating- but veryyyy slow- don't come here if you're in the rush. The quality has really gone downhill. Food: The food was far below the standard I've experienced here in the past. Dishes that used to be flavorful and fresh came out poorly prepared, and honestly felt rushed. It didn't taste like the same kitchen at all. Service: Service was the biggest issue. Our server was inattentive, slow, and seemed overwhelmed despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. We waited far too long for drinks, food, and even basic check-ins. It felt like no one was really managing the floor or paying attention. Ambiance: The view is still beautiful, but the overall atmosphere has slipped. Honest opinion: I was excited for this restaurant on our last night in Islamorada, but the service was extremely disappointing. We were initially seated in a corner behind a hedge and told we could grab drinks and sit by the chairs for the sunset. However, we waited 15 minutes with no acknowledgment while 3 servers stood around chatting or 2 others walked by without saying one single word. Literally no one even acknowledged us. A simple "hello" or "someone will be right with you" would have gone a long way. I understand that maybe the chatting servers weren't responsible for our table, but it felt extremely rude and such an uncomfortable experience. I went to the front to ask the host if we could grab a drink inside then sit, but I had to wait another 5 minutes due to the inefficient seating process. The host had to walk each group individually, creating long waits. So now this is the second time going through this just to talk to the host. I didn't want to cut when people were also waiting. It wasn't her fault--she was doing her best--but the system clearly needs improvement for such a large restaurant with so many people arriving for sunset. The host knew we had waited 15 minutes but only asked "where we were sitting" and said "sorry" without any follow-up, which just made the situation even more awkward. After being ignored, we ordered at the bar and sat outside, but eventually decided to leave. The Sauvignon Blanc was good, and the view was nice, but the lack of service made the experience so uncomfortable and honestly a waste of time. This review is based on service alone since we didn't eat. Unfortunately, I won't be returning or recommending this spot. read more

The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server Francine was the best server. Very attentive and charismatic. The view is amazing. If you want to see the sunset this is the best place! Each bite was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The drinks were also impressive--especially the PINA colada and The Keke colada. Had lunch here around 11:30 on a Sunday. Wasn't many there yet so had a great selection of seating. Obviously the atmosphere is a big draw with the outdoor seating and water views. I had the mahi tacos based on the photos on yelp. They were nicely seasoned and the aoili gave them great flavor. I loved that they come with tortilla chips and salsa (I am not sure the menu mentions that). I also had the golden margarita which was tasty and not super sweet or overly acidic. It's a little pricey (normally order a glass of wine but most were $19 to $20 a glass). But I would say it's a lovely atmosphere and worth a visit. read more
