So this is a pretty place for a drink, a light appetizer, or a snack by the pool. It looks nice and has a nice view of the marina and the Faro Blanco lighthouse. But it isn't a good restaurant, in any way. As several other reviewers have said, the service is terrible and the food isn't good. We were staying at the resort and came right when they opened for breakfast, but for whatever reason, they decided to help another larger group first, that arrived well after us. The larger group got their food and left before we even got our food. The servers largely ignored us the entire time, even though they were super attentive to other groups. I'm not sure what we did to bother the staff so much besides arriving right at 7 am, but the experience was terrible and we won't be back here even though we have a food credit through the resort. Not that it will do any good, but we will be reaching out to the hotel management because they clearly have a problem here. I don't think they care because they have a captive audience on the resort that is always new. If you're staying at the resort , this is not a place to actually eat a meal. read more

We stayed here at the resort for close to a week, and we enjoyed breakfast here just about every morning. Nothing too fancy. Ordered our coffees, where I had an omelette and sausage everyday. The wife would go back and forth with an avocado toast, or fruits. Our service was always great and we were well attended to. We certainly enjoyed our little meals here and there, but did a bunch of exploring around the various Keys. Thank you for a wonderful experience during our 30th Anniversary celebration! This used to be a better restaurant. My last experience was one in which the drinks and food were both slow to get to the table. The service was friendly and there is a nice view of the water from indoor or outdoor seating. But the menu is limited to just a page. One fish special for the evening. I was in Marathon with a friend for a cycling event and we stopped in for dinner. We stayed next door so it was a convenient walk. I ordered the catch of the day which was a grilled Mahi. Breakfast here could take a while so allocate more time if you're in a hurry. Specialty coffee will also take a while as well from the grab and go area due to only having one barista. It's super chill and the view of the pool / marina is very relaxing. The omelet is cooked well but the fruit looked a bit old. The donut holes were meant to be filled with ricotta en served with multiple dipping sauce. It was not filled and only came with a caramel sauce. The waiter was gone for 10-15mins after dropping off the food. So we ended up only getting cold chocolate sauce when we were almost done. read more

Dinner here was an adventure. Our was rainy, so we could barely see the lighthouse. Service started out great, yet our waitress was having an off night and things went downhill for a few of her other tables and eventually impacted us. Our cocktails were good - I can still taste the yummy key lime pie martini that I had. The starter special we had was good. Dinner was okay. My scallops weren't the great and his meat wasso undercooked he sent it back. We went somewhere else for dessert. read more

I really wanted to like this place because it has such a nice location and I've been desperately searching for a restaurant in the middle Keys that isn't so greasy and deep fried. When we arrived it wasn't too busy. However, we waited at the hostess stand for about 8 minutes without anybody coming by. I saw two other servers and asked if there was a hostess. They assured me there was. She never came. So we went to the bar and ordered dinner there. Unfortunately, two of the fish dishes were out - the Mahi Mahi and the Grouper. So I ended up simply ordering a burger which was mediocre. Not sure I'll return anytime soon. The woman working the bar was great and on top of everything. We were thrilled with our experience at Lighthouse Kitchen. Our family enjoyed food from both land and sea. We'd recommend the fish and chips (the vinegar fries are to die for), Mojo Chicken, Lobster Mac and Lighthouse Burger (the sauce is so unique). Atmosphere was lovely! read more

We stayed at the Faro Blanco resort and visited here pretty much everyday during our stay. At the heart of it, this place is basically a pool bar/ restaurant at the resort. We ordered food and desserts on multiple occasions and drinks pretty much everyday. I am going to preface my review by saying that I really wanted to like them and they disappointed me each time I gave them another chance. Let me start with the good. The ambiance is great - there was live music in the evening each day, the place was buzzing with people and the ocean/ lighthouse view is very pretty. The decor is nice - island + lighthouse themed and the sofas as comfortable. The pool itself was abysmally small tbh, but since this is November, there isn't a whole lot of time spent in it. Drinks were fine - overpriced, but we are on an island resort. I actually really liked my virgin pina colada. Ragz found his drinks to be just okay. Service is awful - I truly felt a little discriminated against by one server specifically - tall dude with sideburns who saw us EVERY freaking day and knew we were staying at the resort. Wouldn't offer us a menu or check in on us while he did it with every other patron etc. But whatever - he's the server, I'm not. He also overcharged us for dessert and drinks twice - we let it go sadly. Megan our other Bartender/ server was great - a little frazzled but working way harder than sideburn dude tbh. We always ordered at the bar or the sofa area ( which means Ragz was walking up to the bar to order himself), so I can't speak to their sit down service at all. Food - really below average in my opinion. Fish tacos had overcooked fish, the mushroom Wellington ( thanksgiving special) was bland and super dry ( a pity because it could have been delicious). The potatoes were so underdone we had to send them back. Fries were okay - could have been crispier. They were out of vanilla ice cream 3 days in a row - we had both the crème brûlée and the rum baba with coconut ice cream (and not a bad choice btw). The ice cream portion sizes compared to the dessert itself were way too small. The crème brûlée was okay- I've had way better. The rum baba was a hit once and a miss the other time. The second time it was dry and not enough rum sauce or ice cream to help it sadly. I'll be honest - our experience with the bartender/ server coupled with food is what's resulting in a 1 star review. Otherwise, I probably would have given it 3 stars. Sadly since we were staying at the resort there are very few other options. I will not be recommending the restaurant to anyone honestly, except for the vibe. read more

Our service was not good! The drinks and food were super slow! It took at least 20 minutes to get our drinks, an hour for our appetizers and kids meals, and over 2 hours to get our food. Finally a manager came over and apologized and said our drinks were covered however three of us adults were drinking water. We had a 4 year old and an 8 year old who were melting down after being at the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours. Can't blame them. Also the restaurant was not busy. Dinner was great staff and excellent food. Love the bar staff too! The woman running breakfast is a bit unsure of how it all works and is less than friendly...plenty of tables and kept everyone waiting while in the back. We just got into go both days since they were a bit less organized. But the food was still excellent. read more

Came just to check this place out it was pretty good food the bang bang shrimp tacos are really good!!! It's really chill and beautifully laid out... definitely a fun In the sun and upscale place I like it!!!! The oysters were okay I'm used to huge gulf oysters but these were good just a little on the small side... the drinks are good I had a traditional margarita and an ipa it's a hazy so it was my kinda drink.... This place is so peaceful , def a place to stay if you come visit..... did I forget to mention they have a really good happy hour 3-6 guess I cane right on time. read more

They served me a steak with no seasoning. I had a friend once who was learning how to grill and he thought the fire smoke provided the seasoning so he cooked the steak without seasoning....this steak tasted the same. They did not even put salt on the steak. The pozole was bland had no peppers and no flavor. The crème brûlée cheesecake was great; that was the highlight of the meal. This was new years with a preset menu. It took an hour to get the first plate and then they served the other three courses (four in total) all within 15 minutes so my food got cold. Also they charged us a $50 gratuity extra for having "a large party" it was my wife and I. Will never return. read more

Happily a return visit for great service, food and drinks. Also, you can't beat the view of the marina and the gulf from the bar. Excellent personal service from Madi and Shannon. I was pleased to see the bar top wiped down between guests (the most basic, and most forgotten task). We split the chicken lollipop app which were huge and flavorful, as well as the French Dip. My wife and I ate here during our January 2026 visit to Marathon Key. She started with Tuna Tartare. It was great. It was a generous portion and was very fresh. Wow! What a view. Drinks are great. We only had the mussels and crab puffs. The mussels were phenomenal. The bread that was served with it was delicious, just wish we had more. They put a seasoned butter or something on it. The mussels were in a sauce with sausage. I would have never paired them, but it works! Delicious!!! The crab puffs are essentially crab cakes. For the amount of money you pay for them, you should either serve them as larger cakes or more of the balls. With only three little balls, I felt jipped. They were delicious tho. Yoghurt and granola was excellent French toast with guava was tasty Highlight was the donuts with 3 dipping sauces which were truly exceptional- you have to order this (for the table...!) Absolutely love this place! Beautiful view & they have a pool that overlooks the ocean as well. We sat at the outside bar and had Tyler as our bartender both times! My husband and I came here for the NYE Prix Fixe menu. We were seated at 7pm and our first course didn't come until 8pm, and it was actually the second course that arrived first. We ordered the pozole as our second course. The tuna tartare (our first course) arrived after our second course and would have been completely forgotten about had we not mentioned it to the waitstaff as they forgot to serve it to us. The tuna tartare tasted good - the presentation was not impressive. The soup looked like small chunks of chicken in a clear broth and was very bland. I am from Texas and this looked and tasted nothing like pozole. In fact we asked them to exchange it for the toasted red pepper. This was good - but I think it's probably very hard to screw up roasted red pepper soup. When the red pepper soup did come out, it was served at the same time as our main course which was the prime rib. The prime rib was completely flavorless and we had to season it ourselves. This was not worth the expensive price tag or my or my husband's time. I feel like if you're in the Florida Keys and you're advertising a really nice NYE meal you would be best served by highlighting the things that you are good at, like seafood not prime rib, chicken, or pozole. read more

We made our New Year's Eve reservations at Lighthouse Kitchen several weeks in advance. When reserving on OpenTable, no mention was made of a special New Year's Eve menu. Imagine our surprise when we were presented with a $125 per person prix fixe menu and told that there was no other menu available for the evening (we had dinner at the establishment the previous New Year's Eve and were able to order from the regular dinner menu). Considering it was after 6:00 pm and there was no chance of getting a table at another restaurant at such short notice, we decided to stay and make the best of it. We should have left then. I asked our server if there was an option to order from the regular menu. She obviously had been asked the same question by other diners, as her answer was, "No", followed by "people are pretty upset about it". Almost everything about the evening was a fiasco; there were few redeeming qualities. We started with cocktails, which were pretty good. It went downhill from there. I had a pozole soup which had no flavor and very tough chicken, my husband's medium-rare prime rib arrived well done and my seared salmon was extremely salty. Our server never once checked in on us to see how we liked our food and our dirty dishes stayed piled on our table until after the next course was served (by who I assume was a runner from the kitchen). Our water glasses were never refilled either. Honestly, the missteps just kept going on. After our dessert was served, we had difficulty getting and also, paying, our check. To top it all off, a 20% "large party" gratuity was added on to our bill, with a suggestion of an additional 2-7% tip (we were a party of 2). I seriously wonder if our server really didn't care about "service", since she knew that she was receiving a minimum of a 20% tip. All in all, it was a very disappointing evening. Disappointing Experience at Lighthouse Kitchen - Would Not Recommend I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent visit to the Lighthouse Kitchen in Marathon, FL was so underwhelming it felt necessary to share. From the start, things went downhill. Our waitress--who I won't name but had a prominent neck tattoo--seemed disinterested from the moment we sat down. I ordered a cider, only to be told they were out with no alternative or substitution offered. Strike one. I then tried to order the fresh catch of the day, but was informed the potatoes (which come with the dish) were "86'd." No effort to suggest a replacement or solution--just "you can't get it." Strike two. I settled for something else, only to be served what might be the worst sweet tea I've ever tasted. It neither resembled tea nor had a hint of sweetness. What truly ruined the experience, though, was the service--or complete lack thereof. Once our food hit the table, our server disappeared. She didn't return even once to check on us. We were missing condiments and drinks, and after waiting a frustrating 20 minutes hoping someone would come by, I finally had to track down the manager myself. This place might have potential, but it was completely overshadowed by inattentive service and lack of basic hospitality. There are far better places in the Keys where you'll actually be treated like a valued guest. The manager did make it right but it cost us a night but if our vacation. read more

We are staying at the hotel for the weekend so we have been here twice so far, once for dinner and once for breakfast and I can't say we will be going back during the rest of our stay. For dinner the two of us had the pork arancini for an appetizer the Caribbean Salad with Steak and quinoa bowl with shrimp for our dinners. The steak was delicious but the "salad" was literally Romain lettuce with some shaved cheese and a fairly good dressing. My wife's bowl was good, but we paid $12 for 4 shrimp to be added to the salad. Not to mention she ordered it blackened and it arrived grilled. The service was slow but OK for dinner. Breakfast was a mess, the restaurant was out of multiple things including biscuits and gravy, granola, mushrooms, and avocado toast, not a great way to start. I had the shrimp and grits which were OK, but I am pretty sure the grits were just instant grits, not slow cooked like you would expect for the price we paid. If they were cooked traditionally it was very poorly. I also ordered a side of sausage and got 1 and 1/2 pieces of sausage... who serves a half a piece of sausage??? My wife got the Lighthouse Breakfast and the gigs were cooked well but she got 1 piece of toast and 1 chicken sausage.... Not anywhere near filling enough. It was like they were running out of everything and trying to ration the food. The service for breakfast was slow and not at all great on top of not having half of what we wanted. Sorry to say that, although the location overlooking the marina and light house is epic, the food and service much less so. Our appetizer arrived at the same time as the entrees after a more than usual wait. I ordered the Plantains Foster Waffles for breakfast as it was advertised as having plantains and a Butter Rum syrup. I thought it sounded somewhat interesting and exotic. What I got was a standard hotel-breakfast waffle with bananas and what tasted like Karo syrup. Definitely not butter rum! No hostess to seat us but the restaurant manager ( who was very nice) finally came to seat us. Very hard to get the attention of our waiter! He definitely wasn't "there" that day! The restaurant is on the Faro Blanco Resort grounds. They have both indoor seating and outdoor seating with a view of the water and an outdoor bar. My two friends and I all ordered the spicy Ahi tuna salad. I enjoyed mine very much however my friend felt that she got a piece of tuna that was very fatty. We had breakfast there the next morning which was set up just for our group/conference. The breakfast pastries were excellent and the fresh fruit was good, the eggs looked like they were from powder and didn't have much taste. read more

Service and waitstaff were amazingly friendly and accommodating, and a lovely setting. I just wish the food matched. Entrees and apps were fair. But some of the desserts were literally inedible (like the Baba rum cake, that I later learned is so bad that more experienced waitstaff will talk you out of ordering). Cocktails were also terrible. Literally undrinkable. Most of my table set back our first drink including mojitos and margarita, and gave up when the replacements were equally bad. read more

My family loves visiting the keys, however finding good food for a reasonable cost is very challenging. At lighthouse bar and grill we got neither. There are mentions of house made things on the menu but that seemed to be far from true. The rolls appeared to be the same as the Hawaiian rolls you'd get in the grocery store and the ranch was definitely the home style hidden valley ranch. The prices are through the roof and the food quality was very low. You're paying for the view of the docks which was nice. The service was also good. For these prices and high quality food, I would recommend the Florida Keys Steak and Lobster House in Marathon. Prices were similar if not cheaper and the food was much better. read more

We came here because it was top 10 on google in places to eat at the Keys. Please do not come here! Save your time & money! They cater to the resort guest solely!! The only good thing about this place was the view! From the moment we arrived we felt out of place. We received our drinks & my glass of Prosecco tipped over shattered. It took about 20 mins for someone to come over, which was the manager April. She was upset to have to clean it & did a very poor job at it, didn't ask if we were ok or if I needed another ( I would have paid for another). I had to call the waitress so that I can clean the table better as there was shattered glass on the table & floor. The waitress Tyler was great by the way!! However no one asked me or my family if we needed more drinks. We received a refill of water one time because we requested it. After waiting 2 hours our order was given to another table that had just sat down. Even the table was confused their food came so quickly & nothing was done about it until we addressed it to our waitress. We waited yet another hour & it wasn't until I asked for the check that our food was served. April the direct manager had an absolute attitude when she came over to apologize for the food mishap & blamed the waitress, which we did not agree with! April not once looked at me or addressed me which made me feel taken back as she solely addressed my light skin blue eye cousin!! They removed 20% of our almost $200 bill for Aprils mistake of serving the wrong table but honestly they should have kept it and gave it to the poor waitress who was getting blamed for her managers mistake. Stay away from this place!! Needless to say we left & ended up at another location with outstanding service!!! read more

Great choice-our family had Excellent skirt steak with garlic mashed 'taters, salmon with and type of risotto and the dinner - all excellent! Great service, a beautiful walk along the docks while dinner was being prepared - just such a nice location! Our waitress gave us excellent recommendations and boy am I glad I hot the skirt steak!! The views here are amazing especially if you catch the sunset. There's a bar out on the deck along with a live band and a pool. Bring that this restaurant is part of a hotel it's all about a laid back vibe with everything you need right here. We were a party of 16. Mixture of kids, teens, and adults. They accommodated us in a big semi private space (we made reservations in advance) and came equipped with a huge flat screen. Was perfect cause they were showing a fight. The menu is smaller than anticipated and we dealing with some.picky eaters could get a bit frustrating. But we all.gpund something we liked and of course the kids loved their ice cream sandwiches they provided for dessert. Kids had burgers and or just fries. The adults started with either a seafood chowder or the ceviche. The chowder had alot of corn in it and I've never had that before but the combination of salt and a touch of sweetness really complimented the soup. Most of the men had some kind of steak ( cooled to their liking) with a starch option (potato or rice). The ladies finished off with a cesar salad which I thought was a little.small.for a.dinner portion but again the flavor was good. For dessert, when your in the Keys you have key lime pie. I should have started with dessert first cause it was so smooth and the perfect touch of tart and sweetness.
