Been wanting to try this place. Glad I finally went. We got chicken rolls ($2 each) which were spicy but so damn good! The tamarind chutney & the cilantro chutney that came with them were so good too. We got the Ferraro rocher cake ($5) which honestly didn't taste like the chocolate but it was really good although really sweet as well. We also got the moonlite special shawarma ($14). It was good but wuda been so much better w/o the mayo on top. I despise mayo. Most of their sauces are mayo based. Also got 6pc chicken wings ($12) which were so much better than crappy old Kennedy fried chicken. The crust actually had flavor besides salt. The rolls & chicken were the highlight. The elderly man who was the cashier also served us the food upstairs. He was really nice.

All of it tasted great and fresh. was hitting. But definitely could've used Extra white sauce... pause. The seating downstairs isn't the most comfortable, however you gotta pay a 15 % service charge to eat upstairs. I think next time I'll take it to go. But definitely a good place overall.

Great customer service, I was looking all over for salmon around this location and found it here. The front hostess/cashier was sweet and showed me what container the salmon steak came in along with rice, friend and a salad. The place is very clean and the owner was available making sure customers were satisfied with service. Presentation for the to go is superb and the flavors are on point. One can tell the cook loves what he does. I will be back despite the $20 price point because it's salmon and worth it.

This is one of the cleanest restaurants in JH, and owned by the kindest Bengali & Middle Eastern family. You order downstairs and theres plenty of seating upstairs. They bring your food up to you. Servers continue to check up on you if you need anything. The food is fresh and delicious, entrees come with rice, white sauce salad and hummus. So far my friends and I have had the chicken kebab, chicken kofta, chicken shawarma, and special shawarma. Can't wait to try other things on the menu. Look how beautifully everything is plated!

Wanted something different than the usual Mexican or Halal offerings in the area. This particular spot has all sorts of food options and seemingly not specializing in anything. However it is open late and no line to order. Looked like the entire staff was making an elaborate meal for a large group of people upstairs (yes there's seating up top). To help them out I ordered whatever I saw available on the heat rack - 4 Piece Chicken ($8.75), as well as some Mozzarella Sticks ($5). Food is ready in ten minutes - mozzarella sticks haphazardly in a brown bag while the chicken is packed in a small box. Despite all appearances, the chicken isn't half bad. Not overly greasy nor dry; decent with some hot sauce. Mozzarella sticks were hit or miss, some were crushed and exploded, others well crisped. All in all, better than expected but still not sure what would be the best thing to order here. If you don't want to wait outside in the cold for a food truck, try this place out.

A nice place to eat in Jackson Heights. The upstairs dining area is very clean and spacious, was empty when we came. The service was also very good. We ordered the chicken kofta and grilled shrimp kebab plates. The chicken and rice were nust okay, but the shrimp was very tasty!

This place was amazing and the food was delicious. The staff was super nice and gave us the best service. Just walking by, I did not expect much, but upon going upstairs, the dining area was really nice with plenty of tables. There's a window view all around the room as well. I highly recommend coming to this place if you're looking for a bite!

Came here for a birthday dinner. Got the Branzino fish which tasted pretty good. The chicken shawarma was really good. The steak was okay (they didn't ask how we wanted It cooked, it was well done for us). We also got 2 family platters that was also good. Definitely recommend to try it out. I gave it four because they give too much rice and less of the meat and their corn brûlée tastes ehhhhhh. Please don't get the corn brûlée. Sorry not sorry. Nonetheless pretty nice looking place and good food.

The food is great, and the portion matches the pricing (if a tad more expensive). The service here is great and the owners are very kind. I always get the grilled shrimp platter which tastes pretty good.

I have been there twice, and the chicken is greasy, and the lamb is dry. Additionally, service is questionable.

We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and Mix Grill entrees for our party of 7. I would say it's a pretty simple and standard order. No deviations, substitutions, or anything out of the ordinary. Despite that, our drinks took ~20 minutes, the appetizers took 30+ minutes, and our entrees 30+ minutes after that. The Mint Lemonade was so small and tasted artificial. For ~$9, I expect more. The only appetizers worth trying are the Hummus Baba Ganouj, and Falafel. Everything else sadly missed the mark. The Fatoush & Tabouleh were promising but pretty sad. It lacked dressing (lemon and olive oil), flavor, and there were way too many unnecessary lettuce leaves on or around the bowl. I did enjoy the Zikrayat Mix Grill. The meats were tender, well-seasoned, and juicy, the rice was light and fragrant, and it was filling. I found the appetizers to be overpriced and along with the extremely slow service, I didn't leave feeling like it was worth it. I don't think I'll be back.

First off the place is so cute, it's a long narrow restaurant with a good amount of seating, and you can watch them make and bake the feteer fresh to order. The people are so nice there and the food was DELICIOUS I do recommend setting aside some time or calling ahead if you can since it can take around 20 minutes to assemble this delicious creation. Get the mixed meat one and you will not be disappointed. The melty, gooey cheese runs throughout the large hefty chunks of meat sandwiched within this rich, delicious bread that keeps it all together. I ate the whole thing myself in a day. Don't forget to throw on the hot and white sauce on it too!

They have branches all over NY but when they opened one in Astoria, Queens, we finally went! Ayat is a little pricier than some restaurants in the area but you're paying for a quality meal, and it was so worth it...really!! Shout-out to our server Tyler, who was great in every way! He provided us with everything we needed before we even asked. Thanks so much, Tyler! Menu shared by 6ppl: -- 2 orders of Salata Filistini Salad ($9): very small portion. We actually wanted to try their Watermelon Feta Salad but it's no longer on their menu. This Salata Filstini Salad was a poor replacement and nothing special. Skip this and try another salad. -- Meze Filistini (6 spreads & fresh pita) $32.75: Excellent! All 6 spreads were delicious with the warm, fresh pita. All 6 spreads were fresh & tasty. You can tell they used quality ingredients. -- Lamb Chops w.rice, salad & tahini sauce (4 chops/$39.50): Excellent dish! The lamb chops were prepared perfectly and the Tahiti sauce really complimented the lamb. Get this!! -- 2 orders of Mixed Grill w.rice, salad & yogurt sauce ($37): Fantastic platter with one lamb chops, Beef Kebab, Kofta Kebab and Chicken Kebab. The chicken was a tad bit overcooked and dry, but the other meats were perfect. Recommended! -- Fattat Lahma (6 layer dish: meat, rice, chickpeas, garlic, tahini, crispy pita; garnished w.almond slices & mint) $31: This was an excellent dish. Someone had warned me that this tends to be dry, and to order this with extra yogurt sauce...great advice! We indeed ordered this with extra yogurt sauce, and honestly could have used even more! Haha But this was a great dish! I would get this again. -- 2 orders of Knafa $15: This was slightly different from any Knafa I've ever had. It was very loose and dry but really tasty nonetheless! This was a large portion, but was perfect for 3 people sharing. All in all, this was a great meal. The freshness and quality of each dish really shined. I would definitely return to try other dishes and repeat some of the dishes we had tonight. Recommended!!

I want to cry just thinking about how much better food we can get from a local place and we drove all the way from long island to try this place.
