bbq chicken bowl--small portion size
Reeva G.

We frequently ordered from here until now. The portion size they give you is not worth it for $20. The bowls used to be filled to the brim. Now they're skimping on all ingredients. We always order the bbq chicken bowl. At times the rice would be undercooked and/or chicken burnt, and we were forgiving about it, but today was the last straw. After finishing our "dinner" we're still hungry. Won't be ordering from here again.

Portions here are a joke - we ordered two BBQ chicken bowls and after taking the sauce and lemon slice out, there was barely any food in each bowl. A few pieces of overcooked old chicken and a few pieces of lukewarm sides. Had to make real dinner after this "meal".

Pretty solid Asian lunch bowl spot if you're looking for a quick healthy meal. Got this on Ubereats within 40 minutes of ordering. You can customize your protein bowl with your rice of choice and 3 toppings/veggies and pick your sauce. I got the BBQ chicken bowl with mushrooms, radishes, and kale salad. Loved the chicken. It's got a nice char flavor and so moist!Mushrooms and kale salad also add nice textures and flavors to the bowl. Radish is unmarinated but not bad. I liked the vinaigrette sauce but the bowl didn't really need too much extra sauce with that flavorful chicken. The bowl is half full and definitely is a light lunch portion so that's the only suggestion for improvement. Definitely can fill it up a little more. Otherwise enjoyed my healthy meal!

Pictures are VERY misleading. Ordered from DoorDash and the amount of protein given is despicable. Will never order here again. Smh. Update your pictures if you're going to give a sad amount of protein. I'd leave zero stars if I could.

Diet: Vegan The tofu was super overcooked, and inedible. The broccoli wasn't nice either and the sweet potato and salad was a little greasy. The salad was not filling and I feel like a paid a lot for it.... gosh I was so hungry after that meal lol.

Fried chicken salad with extra chicken x2 avocado x1 cucumber salad.

Going to update my review to five stars because when I did my two star review, the owner of Moon bowls was very respectful and was very quick at replying to me and I'm pretty sure I got a little bit of annoying so thank you for dealing with that, I ended up getting another bowl today and it's literally what I've been craving all week. Thank you guys so much.! The chicken is crispy and everything tastes so fresh.

Honestly, the main reason I ordered from here on UberEats was because of the promotion for BOGO as well as $15 off of a $30 order - surprisingly, however, even though I got three bowls for the price of one, I would rather have just spent the money on one decent meal. I ordered the Korean hot chicken and avocado bulgogi bowls. The chicken was hard/dry and the flavor forgettable. The bulgogi marinade flavor was okay (but then the texture was grainy and crumbly) but did not redeem the bowl enough to justify the price point. The accompanying base/toppings were quite lackluster/sad as well, although I do appreciate the variety. I was overall disappointed and it's been a long time since I have felt this way about a food experience. Perhaps fast casual Korean food is just too difficult to do well.

I ordered two build-your-own bowls from moonbowls via DoorDash and was extremely disappointed by the quality. Despite the fact that there was no flavor (much less an Asian-inspired one), the chicken was over-cooked and dry, the "citrus-marinated" kale was dry shredded kale with a lemon wedge on the side, and the ginger soy garlic sauce I ordered wasn't detectable in the bowl. We ended up making our own sauce at home to salvage what showed up at our door. For $13, I expected a lot more. The most impressive part of the order was the pastel purple bag that held my order. My experience with DoorDash itself was great - the delivery went as expected and customer support was helpful when I explained the food quality, but I will most likely not order from here again.

Don't Cauliflower

These moonbowls were delicious! The cauliflower was fried & awesome with the sauce. It also had some tofu in it & rice & ingredients that made it all good. The noodle one had kale & some kind of creamy dressing with orange slices. It was good but the cauliflower won.

Found this place on doordash and was pleasantly surprised. In 2023 I've made it my mission to try variations of places that I like, so instead of ordering chipotle I wanted to try this approach to Korean cuisine. It's similar in the fact that you get to customize your bowl which is awesome if you are particular about certain restrictions. I ordered the chicken and egg bowl but added roasted broccoli, mandarin oranges, peanuts, roasted corn, and citrus marinated kale. This bowl was pretty great overall, but felt a bit of a lack from the ingredients. The chicken was dry and the ratio was off and there was too much rice compared to add ons. The rice was a bit undercooked too. But I highly see some potential in this place and find it as a great healthy alternative to others in the city. Can't wait to try more.

just plain awful. Tasteless, boring, not worth trying. Food showed up cold. Broccoli and cauliflower were hard as rocks. Waste of money.

She treated us very well, giving us complementary pan-fried dumplings, and even making sure our friend who came later got everything that the rest of us got as well. The usual Chinese menu items we ordered were all pretty standard, including the hot & sour soup. The pork chop was flavorful & cooked well, but the gravy on top of it had a weird gelatinous consistency that took a while to get used to. The prime rib was a more-adventurous item that we ordered, and although it wasn't bad, I think I'd skip it on my next visit.

The team was incredible, they were so kind on a day that can be stressful for a small restaurant. We had incredible food. I was so happy to get my Eggs Royale and my husband said the French toast was the best he's ever had. (Even comparing it to French toast in Paris) No notes. It seems like this place is an asian fusion brunch place incorporating french dishes into thai/asian themed dishes which is up our alley. We made a reservation at 1:45 PM and we had to wait for about an extra 30 minutes before getting seated. Initially, I wanted to try their crab fried rice but unfortunately they were out of crab. We decided to get the Alcatraz Escape and the Brioche french toast which were recommended by the wait staff. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating but I can tell they were swamped and stressed out with all the people they were trying to serve. The food itself tasted decent, the Alcatraz Escape had a tasty flavor which incorporates tom yum paste (sweet, sour, tangy flavor) into their scramble with about 4 shrimps. The side of crispy chicken was good but nothing that stood out to us. The brioche was soft but there wasn't much flavoring besides the fruits and caramelized banana. It was served with evaporated milk which made the brioche soft but not adding much flavor to it. The price however was quite pricey. For two dishes as a side we paid around $78 with tax and tip.
