I was just looking for something that didn't seem excessively calorific and thought I would spin the proverbial bottle with the 60 Morris ghost kitchen operation. This spot appeared to fit the bill, so I ordered the $11.95 Chicken Greens Bowl. The pulled chicken was the protein upon which the bowl was assembled starting with a bed of mixed greens and shredded cabbage. I was hoping the chicken would be a bit more savory, but it was a bit dried out. Water chestnuts, steamed broccoli, cauliflower florets, carrots, green onion, and toasted sesame seeds filled the rest of the container. I thought it was decent enough meal given a fusion touch with chili oil and a lemon garlic soy sauce on the side (photo: https://bit.ly/3GEcPbC). I have to admit I was more satisfied with the $5.95 Coconut Greens Smoothie which consisted of spinach, pineapple, banana, lime juice, and coconut milk (photo: https://bit.ly/3GEcVju). It was thick enough to please and none too sweet. FOOD - 3 stars...ingredients were good but execution was slightly off AMBIANCE - n/a...it was a delivery SERVICE - 3.5 stars...everything was packed appropriately TOTAL - 3 stars...looking for the umami RELATED - Exploring SoMa? I love how the tofu cabbage bowl tastes but the protein portions are so so tiny :( I actually ordered extra chicken for my tofu bowl to try and fill up but unfortunately the tiny portion of chicken wasn't enough either. This doesn't feel like it's worth $20+.

I ordered lunch via Caviar and was really happy with the flavor, quality, and portion size! Would definitely order again for weekday lunches. Wagyu Beef Rice & Cabbage Bowl ($23.95) - the cardboard delivery box was stuffed to the BRIM with veggies and beef. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots) were fresh and crispy. I particularly liked that the bowl had water chestnuts, which added a refreshing crunch to each bite. The wagyu beef bowl option was on the pricier side, but the menu has lots of very affordable chicken/pork options for less the $13. Coconut greens smoothie ($5.95) - healthy and refreshing. Nice tart bite from the lime and pineapple and not too sweet

Protein Lover Rice & Cabbage Bowl

As a girl who lifts, lemme tell y'all I LOVE my protein - gotta get them gains in hehe. So of course I had to order the protein lover bowl, specifically rice and cabbage bc I like a mix of grains and greens. The name of the bowl is indeed fitting as this meal was packed with tofu, chicken, and pork. There was also a lot of different veggies. The sauce was a lot runnier than expected but combined with the chili oil crunch, added a needed seasoning to the bowl. Overall I will say this was an interesting combination, and claim the bowl may have been trying to do a little too much. But I still enjoyed my meal. I felt healthy eating it and I definitely got my protein in w this hearty portion.

Ordered from door dash, I paid extra for 2 portions of meat - tofu and chicken, and got this - a bunch of veggies and 2-3 tiny shredded pieces of chicken!! Why are you so stingy with the chicken?! Not worth the price at all. And the avocado is rock solid. You're basically paying 15-20$ for some boiled veg

I havent took a bite yet, look how small the chicken portion is.

While we were waiting for our table, we saw 2-3 couples get turned away. The restaurant is small, but the interior is well-decorated. It pays homage to HK posters, music, and culture. They offer two complimentary small bites of smashed cucumber and peanuts. - XO Escargot: a must order, the dish only comes with 6 pieces but it's so worth it. The sauce is garlicky, buttery, and each bite with the milk bread is so good. The bread also has a crispy outer layer while the inside is super soft. - Eggplant: at first, we thought the dish was good, but the pieces on the bottom that soaks up all the sauce makes the eggplant full of umami flavor. This paired so good with rice. - Mapo Tofu Spaghetti: just as you imagine, but very yummy. I wish there was more of a numbing spice personally! - Black Pepper Steak: The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare and the sauce was very yummy. This dish did not blow me away like some of the others but was still good nonetheless. I really wished we could have try the Singapore Chili Crab, but that would have been too much food. Our server was also fantastic and so kind, I wish I caught her name. Will def be back!

Overall I felt like the food was really overhyped and was a bit disappointed. Maybe we didn't order the standouts others listed. For two people, we got the fried squab (smaller for $35 instead of $45), escargot with milk bread, the ginger hainan chicken, eggplant, and the mapo spaghetti. Out of these dishes, my favorite was the eggplant, which was very flavorful and on point. I was most excited to try the escargot which was good and a bit spicy as well. The mapo spaghetti was a bit too spicy. I enjoyed the cozy vibe, the HK decor and old canto hits. Service was very friendly and attentive as well.

I do remember that I absolutely loved the Peking duck. They came with very thin, I can only describe it as tortilla crêpe things that you would put it in. I love this so much better than the standard buns. I also loved the fried string beans. It was tempura fried and very light. It didn't taste greasy at all. Out of three places we went to dinner for work, this was my favorite by far. It is right in Ghirardelli Square so there's a lot of things you can walk around and do either before or after.
