Each dish is thoughtfully served with a story -- not only is each sooooo tasty but also unique and something I've never had before. And to top it all off they make new menus all the time?? The first time we went we were celebrating our friends' wedding, and the second time was for my husband's birthday. The vibes were so personal and immaculate, they even got the whole room to sing him happy birthday. I can't wait to go again and see what else they cook up!

Nice openings bites but thought it was just okay. Roppongi sen ~4/5. Quite tasty and nice presentation. Really liked the crust and accompanying flavors. Well balanced. Nanangs balay ~4/5. Good and quite tasty. Octopus was cooked well, and the accompanying flavors were quite unique especially with the wilted greens. Pot au feu ~3/5. Okay. Resembled sukiyaki, but the white sauce on top looked a bit unappetizing, and I thought the taste was okay. A cup for sarap ~4/5. Tasty dessert with a combination of ingredients. Sheet cake was okay, although I would have liked something more interesting or complex. Service was very good. Cute origin story and entirely owned and run by the couple.

I've dined here more than a handful of times and every visit was memorable. Sung and his team consistently delivered exceptional food, every dish was solid and clearly made with pride. You could taste the quality and it was consistent every single time. Beyond the food, what always stood out was the hospitality. Sung genuinely made an effort to connect with his guests, remembering faces, checking in at the table and ensuring everyone felt welcomed and valued. He made sure you had a good experience and you could tell he cared. One thing I've learned on my food journey is this: follow the chef. When you find someone who pours heart into their craft, you support them wherever they go next! Looking forward to whatever Sung does next. I already know it's for sure going to be just as good!

Dishes we family-styled: the slow shrooms, the Kothai ceviche, pear and endive salad, the lamb roti with sichuan pepper sauce chili vinegar and charred eggplant, the pork chop with miso parsnip and broccolini, and the almond torte with yuzu ice cream and candied pecans. All their dishes we tried here were beautifully presented, combined creative ingredients, and delicious! Warning: the Kotahi ceviche was super garlicky, so you vampires have been warned! Also, it normally comes with two pieces, but because there were three of us, they added on an extra for us. The meats for the main entrees were cooked perfectly and the almond torte was the perfect way to end the meal. I thought it came with vanilla ice cream at first, but it was actually a creamy yuzu! We even saw the owner helping out front of the house. Service was helpful and courteous.

The iced Thai tea was well-balanced and not overwhelmingly sweet. The chicken waffle was also good--especially the chicken itself. It was lightly battered and crisp to perfection. I do wish the waffle was more toasted since it was a bit soggy even with barely any syrup. The fruits were fresh and tasted really yummy. As for the PaNang omelette, it was delicious!! It's filled with meat and vegetables, so it's pretty hearty. The curry was so good and had just the right amount of spice. I would highly recommend the PaNang omelette. Parking was difficult since it's in the Tenderloin, but it was definitely worth it. The workers are nice, and the place is really cute.

I made a reservation through Yelp but it seemed like they don't really check yelp for that so I would recommend to call for a table. Luckily, we showed up 30 mins early and there was a corner table near the kitchen available for my party of 5. I had the smoked salmon toast because I'm a basic bitch but whatever it was really yummy with a nice fresh half of avocado, salmon, capers.. all the fixings. The only issue about it was the two giant patty sized slices of red onion was intense. I only ate one ring of it because that's all it needed but I guess it's better for the option of more than too little? Idk not that serious. It came with a side salad that looked undressed but whatever magical dressing they put on it.. hello I need the recipe!! Peach Bellini pitcher was yummy and the brut was acceptable. My party of 5, including 2 brunch fiends and two fabulous locals, said they all really liked the food. If I'm in the area I would definitely come again! What we ordered: Chai latte Mocha Regular latte Peach Bellini liter Smoked salmon toast Smoked salmon cruffle (croissant smashed in a waffle iron) with an added poach egg Holy Chili bomb basil omelette Thai panang omelette Meat lovers omelette The restaurant is cute with a beautiful natural light. I just wish we had a better table but again, it was acceptable. We did metered parking 2 blocks away for $6 for 2.5 hours.

Great places like Megan's Table swing towards the latter, but until it swings all the way and they put on tablecloths and raise the prices, you love it now. We paid our first visit today and the first thing I noticed was the nice smell of wood. It has a nice layout with an inviting bar side, but we were having an anniversary lunch and sat at a table. Grades: 1) Tofu Fresh Roll ($14): A. This was really good, with an instant but light taste of mint. The peanut sauce was thick and excellent. We had it with tofu, as we did with all the dishes with that option. 2) Wing Zaap ($14): C+. I think that the secret SF specialty is wings and these had the distinction of a certain kind of spicy hot, but otherwise unremarkable. Lot of breading, cooked too long, and the dipping sauce was just basic sweet chili sauce. 3) Tom Kha soup ($17): A. Excellent taste, nice big mushrooms and tofu chunks, and that coconut broth is divine! Tastes best drunk straight from the bowl. 4) Pad Thai ($17): B. The acid test for any thai restaurant, it was better than many because the sweetness was just right, but oddly it was missing ingredients we often see, like green onion, limes, and peanuts. 5) Banana flavored wheat beer (Yodbeer Bearnana, $9): A. So there's craft beers in Thailand now. Yum! The waitress was excellent, always attentive, and cleaned up spills from the soup. I also liked the house music, though I was disappointed to see it was jazz written for restaurants. I thought it was really Wes Montgomery! Another nice touch - the very clean bathroom was dressed up for Halloween with skeletons! See pic.

Comfortable vibe, the kind of place where you'd want to unwind. Food-wise, though, some classics miss the mark. Avoid the tom yum. The flavor is completely off; it tastes more like a simple tomato soup than actual tom yum. No real complexity or balance. The mango sticky rice was surprisingly sparse. There was so little sticky rice--I've never seen a portion that small. Just six pieces of mango on top completely covered the entire serving.
