We are very happy with our service. They made it very easy to get an estimate and schedule. They understood exactly what we needed to have done and didn't get pushy trying to upsell something we couldn't afford. Very knowledgeable and I highly recommend them. read more

We had a great time getting a tree from here. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was incredibly happy with the great customer service from Austin at the Peoria location. He was always very responsive and very helpful and knowledgeable helping us choose our plants and trees and design. He arrived at our home twice at the appointment times and never rescheduled. He arranged the time for delivery and planting and it happened without any effort from us, which is very rare this day and age. Scott Miniear and his planting crew that came to plant everything was amazing! They were very attentive to our wants and were very diligent in caring for the plants and left the area beautiful and clean. I was very impressed !!!!! We have had a LOT of projects happening the last year and this is the only company we have NOT had any issues with. Thank you for the great experience and stress free process. read more

Originally I wasn't going to use this nursery again due to all my plants dieing after a month of install but they did send a rep out and he confirmed why they died . They gave me a credit for all the dead plants which we went and choose the plants but this time around I had my gardener plant and install them . So overall it was a good experience, moon nursery do have quality trees and plants which I will always go back for but I will do the planting myself . read more

had a sales person come price trees for us, decided on two fruitless olives. they were "huge" trees. we paid over 2500$ and went to pick our trees. they were saplings! and had olives! we decided to cancel the order, and were punished by the manager, he didn't cancel our order or issue a refund. we got an email saying they would be delivered almost 2 weeks after cancellation. bottom line, the trees here are WAY overpriced. we bought two trees (that are actually trees and no fruit) for less money and better service with WITFILL NURSERY we recommend them highly! read more

I called to get a quote for a tree stump removal, and spoke with Leon MacKey. I sent a picture, as requested, and he gave me a price. I called with my credit card, he insisted taking the full payment before work starred and before a date for removal, but i figured it was Moon Valley, and they are respectable. Leon told me I would hear back in 24-48 hours. The next day he called back saying there was a problem with my Amex. I guess he tried again, because when I checked online billing there it was the full charge. When 48 hours had passed and I heard from no one, I texted and asked why. He answered that the charge never went through. I called Amex, and they informed me that Moon had issued a full credit the day after the charge was made. I don't know why, but Leon either didn't know or lied. I don't care, i got my money back, but wonder what the owner, Les Blake, would say. read more

We usually get our Christmas trees at Costco but this year Costco didn't have any. We checked out this location because we love Moon Valley (we have a palm and grapefruit tree). Highly recommend for your holiday tree buying needs! read more

I worked with the Arcadia Branch of Moon Valley Nurseries several times now, and I want to make sure that this review gets posted so that George and his crew get credit for the work they do, which is absolute perfection. They have been out to my house at least three times to plant trees and one time to remove trees. They arrive precisely on time or they call to come earlier, if possible. They prepare, dig, place, and fertilizer the trees in record time. And it all looks like a choreographed dance while they are working. Cleanup is a snap. They don't leave anything behind, not even one excess clod of dirt. I am very happy with the trees that they have planted for me--half a dozen in my front yard, five in my backyard. read more

June 10th 2024. Just had my first pro care visit from Moon Valley. Alex and Brent arrived and was impressed by how knowledgeable they were. I recently purchased three trees from Moon Valley in Arcadia and the service and support I got through the whole process was fantastic. Most notably, when it came to plant the trees George and his crew did a fantastic job. Not only were they punctual and professional, they took extra time to ensure everything was done right AND cleaned up nicely after all the work was done. I will certainly utilize MoonValley again when the need arises! read more

The amazing effort Brandon has made for me and my family is nothing short of perfection. He has gone above and beyond. I just had 2 good size trees planted in my yard. Javi was the crew foreman and is a delightful young man. Very professional and personable. He and his crew got right to work and finished in just a couple hours. I thought it would take much longer. The trees are beautifully planted and they cleaned up after themselves. I've had a lot of work done over the last couple years and they were the best. Very happy with the whole process so far. read more

Bravo to the young man Marz at Moon Valley Nurseries. I walked in, past the office and into the plethora of plants - I did know that my landscape gardener, wanted me to pick out the cacti and additional for a low water revision to our grassy front lawn. I had pictures in hand and some additional photos on my phone. Marz was working on something close to where I was looking - and asked me if I needed any assistance and boy, did I! He was not only patient, but incredibly knowledgeable. Yes - I picked out everything and our landscape genius, picked them up. Thank you very much! read more

On 11-7 we had a very large tree (needed a crane) replaced by the Surprise location of Moon Valley. Aaron and his crew did a fantastic job taking out the old dead tree and putting in the new one. As messy of a job as it was, when they left, the back yard looked better than it did when they arrived! this is our third large tree purchased and planted by Moon Valley and while all were very positive experiences, Aaron has definitely been the best foreman of them all. Just a quick note of gratitude towards this company and the install crew that put our trees in. First off, the initial experience at the nursery was wonderful, all questions and concerns we answered with honesty and our best interest in mind. We felt very comfortable with our purchase, and could not have asked for such service without a being rushed in any way whatsoever. Now the install crew....all I can say is that they were amazing. Scott and his crew, which BTW are also located out of the 7th St location, had such professionalism and knowledge about the benefit and placement of our trees. Scott had some great advice about where would be the best location, and optimum spacing for them. He also helped us with an extra tree for our yard, which after talking to him made perfect sense on how it would help with our yard. His crew were totally on task, and worked with absolute respect for us and our premise. I hope that this will give a little idea on how pleased we are, and give you the confidence to work with them on your next project. read more

a minute ago If I could leave no stars I would. I have had an open complaint with Moon Valley since June. They refuse to address my concerns. I filed with the BBB and the representative from MV has lied to the BBB that they have been in contact with me and that I signed off on service calls. I was not at home both times a crew was sent out. The second crew was sent out because the sales person was NOT happy with the job when she drove down my street. I contacted 4 individuals within the organization and not one person has contacted me back. My complaint stemmed from the fact that they billed for services not provided. I agreed to pay for what was done..but not what wasn't. Beware..they take your money upfront and proclaim satisfaction guaranteed but if you have issue with work done...it's crickets. Many other nurseries out there that deserve your business over MV. UPDATE: MV continues to provide false information to the BBB about this dispute. They have stated that I was present with all work and signed off on it. Easily disproven by my employment records. Besides poor customer service, add dishonest to the list. I will say that this may just be dishonesty of the one employee responding on behalf of the company to the BBB, but their actions are determining the companies reputation. read more

I would recommend working with Moon Valley over and over again. I would give 10 Star rating if possible. It was a long arduous process, lasting well over a year. I am the VP of Nisbet Greens HOA and tasked with redoing the perimeter of our community. It was a huge task and very overwhelming. I took advantage of having a design specialist come out and walk the property, that's how I met Ray West. He was patient and answered all my novice questions, made suggestions of what trees to remove and put together a colorful design that fit all my needs. I spent a Sunday morning picking out the perfect trees and shrubs and brought the proposal back to our HOA. He stayed within our budget and then it was a wait and debate game for final approval from the board. We purchased our plants and Moon Valley held them till we had an irrigation plan in place and were finally ready to put them in the ground. Ray played a critical role in placing the plants for maximum impact and location. He handheld through the entire process. We only had to have one shrub replaced which was minimal but he was right there making sure it was done in a timely fashion. We have had one tree that need a bit of extra attention but he has come out and made sure it is now stable and will live a good long life Thank you Ray and the Moon Valley team for being attentive, listening to our needs, making our dirt field beautiful, and a pleasure to work with. I honestly could not have done it without your expertise. Thank you for everything and mostly an ongoing partnership for any future needs. Cynde read more

I wanted a pink oleander to fill out a space in my row of existing pink oleanders. I waited 3 days for a shipment of $100 plants from the Tolleson growing facility. What an unwelcome surprise to see that Moon Valley sold me a red oleander, not the pink that the label stated. This is the 2nd time Moon Valley has screwed up my oleander purchase. It will be the last time. I'll never shop there again. My advice is to only buy a plant in bloom if you need a certain color. read more

To the rescue--Moon Valley Nursery is the best. The staff was friendly, consultative and knowledgeable. Once they discovered my needs and preferences, they were willing to show me the entire array of possibilities with directness and honesty about which would be best for my dream landscape. They are patient, energetic and willing to dig in on any level I needed on my project--literally digging in and planting over 25 mature trees--4 plums, 18 laurels, 2 Myrtles and 5 Citrus. They have loads of stock with 47 locations so getting 50+ boxwood or more laurels was not a problem. I felt like i was was always welcome and even have some new "friends" in the nursery business. I was a novice in need of a miracle transformation of my empty back yard and it happened. Their sales and package deals are really helpful for your budget.
