Our Mexican fan palm tree arrived today and was installed by Cesar and his crew in under 30 minutes from start to finish. They were so accommodating, followed social distancing protocols and all wore masks to install in our backyard. Cesar gets 5 stars for his customer service as he took the time to go over watering schedule for our new tree and even provided us with some moon juice on the spot. Going to this nursery is like going to a car dealer. My wife and I researched what tree we wanted and just wanted to find out what this nursery had and how much it would cost. We called first, but the person on the phone would not give us any information about sizes or prices. We wouldn't expect exhaustive information, but he simply would not give a single size or price. We tried the chat feature on the website, but the person there also would not answer any questions, and just kept trying to get our phone number. Since we knew a phone conversation would lead nowhere, my wife went in. When you go, a salesman approaches you like at a car dealer and tries to steer you toward what they want to sell you (trees costing thousands of dollars) rather than what you want to buy. My wife kept reiterating that she did not want the trees the salesman was pushing. But what really surprised us is that they actually refused to sell us the tree we wanted, and that they had in stock. I guess they just thought we would crack and agree to buy a $3,500 tree instead of a $600 tree (yes, I am releasing their carefully guarded information about prices), but even if I had more dollars than sense and was willing to blow $3,500 on a tree, I would not do it here. read more

From the layout, selection of plants and the quality transformation of new planting by the installation team, Moon Valley Nursery was the best! Our story: Our front yard had nice top rocks and that was about it. We went to the MVN McKellips Rd location and Brandon, an experience Design Specialist with a masterful knowledge of plants, chatted with us, suggested possibilities and encouraged us to look around. What an amazing variety of healthy, vibrant plants - trees, shrubs, flowers sizes, colors, shapes. With Bandon's help we selected a Yucca and Lantana Gold and scheduled delivery. We were notified the day before when to expect Nate and his team. WOW! Not only were they right on time, the truck no more than stopped and Nate was reviewing if everything was marked where we wanted it, answered a couple of questions and his crew was at work! Watching his Crew work was like watching a choreographed dance - each knowing their part and working in concerting with the other. In about 20 minutes the holes were dug, plants in place, fertilized, nutrients and Supercharged Moon Juice applied and well watered. We did a large project involving removal of dead and old/unattractive landscaping, stump grinding, and designing, selecting and planting new plants. Patrick did a fantastic job with design recommendations and guiding us through each step. The crews and foremen were also great; they were timely, worked hard, and left everything very neat. One citrus tree was left off the load, understandable in such a large order so we have be complaints. Brian and his crew brought it out today and not only planted it, but straightened a palm we felt was leaning and inspected the health of our other recent plants. He then thoroughly reviewed our ongoing watering schedule for everything. All in all, we were very happy with our Moon Valley experience from start to finish and would definitely use them again. read more

We walked around this super big nursery looking for the trees we that would look nice in our yard and once we found what we were wanted we also found our sales person BOBBY who was great he helped us get our 5 laurel columns to the front and load them into our Tahoe yes they were only about 8 ft or so tall and they fit...BOBBY also suggested we get some moon juice to help them with the transplant and some other stuff to break down our dirt to help the roots push into our ground and grow grow grow also some mulch, BOBBY also instructed us on the watering of these trees or I guess bushes If you go there look up BOBBY HES THE MAN THANKS ALL THERE TREES AND BUSHES LOOKED SO NICE read more

They sold me an Orange tree for $2,400. They told me that I had a 1 year warranty on it. They even told me how to water it. The tree was not doing well. I called for help and I was blown off 3 times. They refuse to honor their warranty on this over priced dying tree. I would not do business with them again. read more

Excellent service team - shout out to Brandon!! - they patiently walk you thru the nursery, explain the differences in the tree varieties, know which trees are accepted in your HOA, point out the difference that the age of the tree makes, and work with you to design your ideal backyard. I bought two ficus trees from Moon Valley April 2020. They are so beautiful! Customer service was phenomenal. We worked with Patrick McCoy. He was very knowledgeable. He loaded me up with extra "Moon Juice". The guys that came to plant the trees arrived on time and worked so quickly to dig the hole for the tree. They were super professional and respectful of my property. It was super hot outside. We offered them big cold Gatorades as a thank you and they were very appreciative. We drove out to Moon Valley in search of a Jacaranda tree that we could throw in the front yard for some color and curb appeal. It was a Saturday at 5:15 pm when we got there.. and though they were close to closing (6 pm), Sam (Smith) was super awesome. He was incredibly knowledgeable about every tree we walked by... and helped us decide on the perfect tree for the yard. We had reservations between ourselves (husband & wife) about what we wanted, but Sam was able to find a common ground between us and a tree that was not only beautiful, but one that we both loved. But it wasn't just about the tree.... right before we were about to leave, we remembered that we also wanted 2 red Yucca plants - he threw them on our order and helped us add them to our existing delivery. Sam had a great personality the entire time we shopped and though it was time to close .. they never rushed us out of there. John (Uselton), the Manager of the nursery, was more than gracious as well - helped reconfirm our selection of tree/plants and made us feel like we were right at home there at the nursery. The entire visit was nothing short of spectacular - we are excited to have these new plants/tree in our yard in a few weeks and I couldn't be happier with the visit. I have to commend them both - it's obvious that they love what they do, their willingness & cooperation to go above & beyond to help the customer is reflective of their success here in the Valley. read more

Recently moved to AZ and our realtor recommended Moon Valley. Moon Valley is incredibly expensive and no warranty on anything unless you pay additional $$$. They collected full payment on the day of the order even though they weren't going to deliver & plant for 6-8 weeks later. We did not purchase the warranty so we have no recourse. A few days after placing our order we realized we made a mistake in paying for the full order upfront but found that if you cancel your order you're penalized a 15% cancellation fee. Paid $766.66 for a ficus tree that died & since we chose not to purchase warranty due to its expense we have no recourse. The same size ficus tree ranges from $60-$100 at other nurseries. The delivery foreman & crew were excellent. I highly recommend researching landscapers and get a referral from a friend or neighbor. They will stand behind their products and service. read more

Had a great time picking out a tree. Dylan was very patient with us as we looked all around and discussed our options before finally deciding on which one to buy. And he gave us a lot of information to help us with that decision. The installers (Jake and his crew) and the bobcat driver, were super friendly and efficient. The customer service that I had to day at Moon Valley Nursery Mesa was exceptional. I was quickly approached by William H. who was so kind and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about all the plants there and suggested different options for me. He answered all my questions, taking his time and showing me around the nursery. He explained the different fertilizers that I would need and how to use them. I left with several shrubs, 2 bottles of fertilizer, and a handy guide to help take care of my new/existing plants. I'd like to give a shout out to Patrick and John for a great visit last Sunday. My wife and I were looking for a ficus tree for inside the house. Patrick quickly greeted us as we walked up and immediately let us know what species would be best. As they focus primarily on landscape material, they didn't have a selection of smaller house friendly trees but did happen to have the perfect tree in a large ceramic pot as decoration for the patio area. With manager John's support, he gave us a great deal to buy their potted tree at a great price. One last problem to solve - I have a camper shell on my truck and didn't intend to buy a tree in a large ceramic pot that I could not lay on it's side. Problem solved - Patrick says he lives near us and will drop the tree off in his personal truck on his way home for free. It was a small purchase packed full of great service. My trees look great. Time will tell with trees so I can't really rate it 5 star for another 2-3 years. We went with a tangelo, lemon, and peach tree for our back yard. Kyle was very helpful and knew what he was talking about. He also fertilized an orange tree in our yard at no cost. My only minor complaint (and it's not that big of a deal) is that the free planting is slightly deceptive. The planting is free.... however, it's $100 to deliver the trees. If you agree to plant it for free how would you plant it unless you brought it with you? It's not the end of the world and it's very common with businesses these days but it still annoys me every time it happens. read more

My husband and I went to Moon Valley nursery in Mesa. Boy am I impressed! Over 20 acres of beautiful trees. I dealt with Mike Friedman and Patrick McCoy. Mike is one of the managers and Patrick is the lead designer. I could not be happier with the ficus tree we picked out for my backyard. Instant shade! Nate and his crew were total pros planting. We also picked a less mature citrus tree that I'm already getting fruit from. Sam the GM recognized my husband was former military and gave us a thank you for your service veterans discount.
