Whhat! This is not to say they don't have beautiful plants, trees, shrubs and such. I'm sure they do. This is all about some communication problem. We're from California, here for Christmas with the kids and were picking up a gift card for them. So we talk to the cashier and was told that there register was down and couldn't do the gift card. That's cool. So he mentioned a second store five miles down the road, cool again. Jump in the car and head out...24 miles later(GPS) we ask another dude who said he couldn't help us with a gift card because the company's register system was down. All of them! Why didn't the first bro. tell me that! Dude! Last word...cool (sarcasm) So my first review was written from a point of frustration. I went back the next morning and took care of business. They were all super nice, being bombarded with Merry Christmas at every turn... sweet. I understand things happen that you can't control, like register/ electronic things. New last words...stoked and blessed. read more

From the moment we walked into Moon Valley, it was an absolute pleasure. Sam was literally the best salesperson / GM we could have ever asked for. Not pushy, super knowledgeable and kind. Our Mexican fan palm tree arrived today and was installed by Cesar and his crew in under 30 minutes from start to finish. They were so accommodating, followed social distancing protocols and all wore masks to install in our backyard. Cesar gets 5 stars for his customer service as he took the time to go over watering schedule for our new tree and even provided us with some moon juice on the spot. Would 10000% recommend this nursery. Looking forward to going back! read more

Cesar and his crew were amazing. They had a tough dig in my yard with lots of rocks underneath the surface but powered through and the 6 trees we purchased looked absolutely amazing! They cleaned up after themselves and were beyond polite. Great staff including Jordan the salesperson and of course Cesar. I will be back soon! read more

Johnny & Crew came to do some planting. The crew was terrific -- very thorough and attentive. And Johnny gave me a lot of useful information on how to care for the plants. They were first-rate in every way. read more

The Moon Valley Nursery tree install crew was amazing! They were so professional and work like machines, they were in and out in a flash. Cesar ensured all trees were installed appropriately and went over all important watering steps with me and answered all of my questions. They also gave the trees their first watering with moon juice and provided me with extra for future months. I definitely recommend anyone and everyone to use Moon Valley Nursery for their next landscaping project. You will be 100% satisfied from start to finish!! read more

After waiting 4 years to get started on our backyard... we finally selected our trees & shrubs from Moon Valley Nurseries! We could not be happier with the beautiful selection of plants offered at this Nursery. The staff treated us with respect, and really took their time to help us carefully select our plants. Even in a 110 degrees heat! The crew came out today to plant our selections and were incredible! We could not be happier! Thank you! read more

Going to this nursery is like going to a car dealer. My wife and I researched what tree we wanted and just wanted to find out what this nursery had and how much it would cost. We called first, but the person on the phone would not give us any information about sizes or prices. We wouldn't expect exhaustive information, but he simply would not give a single size or price. We tried the chat feature on the website, but the person there also would not answer any questions, and just kept trying to get our phone number. Since we knew a phone conversation would lead nowhere, my wife went in. When you go, a salesman approaches you like at a car dealer and tries to steer you toward what they want to sell you (trees costing thousands of dollars) rather than what you want to buy. My wife kept reiterating that she did not want the trees the salesman was pushing. But what really surprised us is that they actually refused to sell us the tree we wanted, and that they had in stock. I guess they just thought we would crack and agree to buy a $3,500 tree instead of a $600 tree (yes, I am releasing their carefully guarded information about prices), but even if I had more dollars than sense and was willing to blow $3,500 on a tree, I would not do it here. read more

If you're in the market for trees or plants of any type, try Moon Valley Mesa and ask for Alex. Our business had to replace trees and oleanders for a city "violation". Alex even provided his personal cell number to keep us updated as to the stump removals and planting dates, not to mention that with his experience, we selected to very best replacements. Thank you Alex and Moon Valley Mesa. read more

I went to Moon Valley Nursery on Ellsworth Rd in Queen Creek, Az. I was greeted by Joshua who escorted me to what I was looking for. In my interaction with him, I came to know that he was very knowledgeable and taught me things I had not previously known. Not only was he professional, but personable as well. He went above and beyond the call of duty to help me, and I firmly believe he is an asset to Moon Valley. He is to be commended for a job well done. Way to go Joshua!!! Lonnie read more

Summary: Moon Valley Nursery is the best place you can go to get expert suggestions, knowledgeable information, and great ideas for your landscaping needs and dreams. It was recommended by our neighbor, who collaborated with MVN to create a beautiful, comfortable and easy care for yard. From the layout, selection of plants and the quality transformation of new planting by the installation team, Moon Valley Nursery was the best! Our story: Our front yard had nice top rocks and that was about it. We went to the MVN McKellips Rd location and Brandon, an experience Design Specialist with a masterful knowledge of plants, chatted with us, suggested possibilities and encouraged us to look around. What an amazing variety of healthy, vibrant plants - trees, shrubs, flowers sizes, colors, shapes. With Bandon's help we selected a Yucca and Lantana Gold and scheduled delivery. We were notified the day before when to expect Nate and his team. WOW! Not only were they right on time, the truck no more than stopped and Nate was reviewing if everything was marked where we wanted it, answered a couple of questions and his crew was at work! Watching his Crew work was like watching a choreographed dance - each knowing their part and working in concerting with the other. In about 20 minutes the holes were dug, plants in place, fertilized, nutrients and Supercharged Moon Juice applied and well watered. The area where they worked was immaculate and the yard looks great! Moon Valley Nursery is the Best there is! read more

If you come heater ask for Patrick. He helped us find the best plants for our yard! He also taught us about the moon juice. It helped with our hibiscus plants! So many flowers than before read more

Moonvalley nursery has done an excellent job for us here in Ahwatukee. Our sales person, Brandon, at the nursery, did a great job of helping us select just the right Mediterranean fan palm to fit our needs. The removal of a large mesquite tree was handled in two stages. One crew came, and did the cutting and removal. Well, a second crew came on another day and did the stump removal. Everything was handled in a timely fashion and professionally. Finally, manager, Chad helped us move up the installation date which is greatly appreciated. All in all, we are very happy with the job that Moonvalley did for us and would give them a five star review and hire recommendations or anyone else who needs landscape work done. read more

Cesar and his wonderful team planted 2 ficus trees for us, to enhance the privacy of our backyard. From start to finish, I was so impressed with their professionalism and Cesar walked me through all the steps on how to take care of the trees. They were thoughtful to clear away the old trees we had removed days ago and left the yard very clean. If you're looking for excellent customer service, I highly recommend Moon Valley Nurseries! read more

I bought & picked out several plants, when they came out a couple weeks later to plant them 2 plants where beaten up & bruised & 1 plant was wrong one. When I called to complain, left message but didn't get call back, went back up to moon valley & talked to manager, picked out 3 replacement plants. When they came back out to replace one of there workers steps on a plant that I personally just planted a few days ago & didn't even have courtesy to tell me. Now I'm waiting to get that plant replaced. This has been 3 weeks of screw ups & 3 trips to nursery to get front yard done. They charge a lot for there plants but there service sucks. Don't use them go elsewhere. read more

Great experience while shopping for landscaping. Brandon W was very knowledgeable and answered every question we had regarding plants, trees and shrubs. He was very friendly; not pushy, and helped us find everything we wanted. The nursery is huge with so many options of color, size, age. We thought it would take all day finding the things we wanted. With Brandon's help we were done in no time! Great place, great experience ! read more

We did a large project involving removal of dead and old/unattractive landscaping, stump grinding, and designing, selecting and planting new plants. Patrick did a fantastic job with design recommendations and guiding us through each step. The crews and foremen were also great; they were timely, worked hard, and left everything very neat. One citrus tree was left off the load, understandable in such a large order so we have be complaints. Brian and his crew brought it out today and not only planted it, but straightened a palm we felt was leaning and inspected the health of our other recent plants. He then thoroughly reviewed our ongoing watering schedule for everything. All in all, we were very happy with our Moon Valley experience from start to finish and would definitely use them again. read more

We had such a great experience with Moon Valley Nurseries. We went on the recommendation of our realtor as we have just moved here and have no knowledge of desert plantings. Patrick was very helpful in guiding us on what to add to our yard and Cesar and his crew were simply amazing with delivery and planting. The customer service from entering and purchasing then onto delivery and planting was amazing and if that wasn't enough they telephone you a couple days later to see if all is going well and to see if we had any questions! We will definitely be back and not hesitate to recommend Moon Valley!!! read more

I haven't bought any trees since I currently rent, but this review is for the awesome informative people here. Met them (Matt?) at a show and was happy to share info and options on how I can have the specific tree I wanted and how to care for them even if he already knew I wasn't buying soon. I like foliage and I want to landscape my own backyard in the near future. I'll definitely go to this nursery when that happens. read more

I've purchased five trees from Moon Valley over the years and I couldn't be happier with the service and support I've received. I recently met with Matt Rosia to purchase a Mexican lime tree. They sold me an Orange tree for $2,400. They told me that I had a 1 year warranty on it. They even told me how to water it. The tree was not doing well. I called for help and I was blown off 3 times. Thoroughly impressed both times I visited this location. Last year we purchased our Christmas tree here and the customer service was fantastic. Today we were looking for mulch, which the manager personally helped us find and then loaded in our car. This sucks that a business that specializes in gardening has bankers hours! Sure yelp has them close at 5 but Maps has them closing at 6?! Freaking stupid. So upset because I really needed new pots for my Monstera and wanted a couple of the rose plants. read more

Great experience, love my new backyard. Very helpful from beginning to end, Will be coming back!

Best place in town for trees, shrubs, and plants of every kind. Excellent service team - shout out to Brandon!! - they patiently walk you thru the nursery, explain the differences in the tree varieties, know which trees are accepted in your HOA, point out the difference that the age of the tree makes, and work with you to design your ideal backyard. All of their trees and plants are locally grown by them, making them perfectly adapted to the climates and much stronger after planting. Very impressed and could not recommend more. We visited many options, and Moon Valley Nurseries in Mesa was the best. read more

I bought two ficus trees from Moon Valley April 2020. They are so beautiful! Customer service was phenomenal. We worked with Patrick McCoy. He was very knowledgeable. He loaded me up with extra "Moon Juice". The guys that came to plant the trees arrived on time and worked so quickly to dig the hole for the tree. They were super professional and respectful of my property. It was super hot outside. We offered them big cold Gatorades as a thank you and they were very appreciative. Moon Valley Had a big challenge to work with.. but they worked hard to make it perfect! Went from nothing to paradise. Thank you MoonValley for making our yard perfect. read more

We drove out to Moon Valley in search of a Jacaranda tree that we could throw in the front yard for some color and curb appeal. It was a Saturday at 5:15 pm when we got there.. and though they were close to closing (6 pm), Sam (Smith) was super awesome. He was incredibly knowledgeable about every tree we walked by... and helped us decide on the perfect tree for the yard. We had reservations between ourselves (husband & wife) about what we wanted, but Sam was able to find a common ground between us and a tree that was not only beautiful, but one that we both loved. But it wasn't just about the tree.... right before we were about to leave, we remembered that we also wanted 2 red Yucca plants - he threw them on our order and helped us add them to our existing delivery. Sam had a great personality the entire time we shopped and though it was time to close .. they never rushed us out of there. John (Uselton), the Manager of the nursery, was more than gracious as well - helped reconfirm our selection of tree/plants and made us feel like we were right at home there at the nursery. The entire visit was nothing short of spectacular - we are excited to have these new plants/tree in our yard in a few weeks and I couldn't be happier with the visit. I have to commend them both - it's obvious that they love what they do, their willingness & cooperation to go above & beyond to help the customer is reflective of their success here in the Valley. read more

Recently moved to AZ and our realtor recommended Moon Valley. Moon Valley is incredibly expensive and no warranty on anything unless you pay additional $$$. They collected full payment on the day of the order even though they weren't going to deliver & plant for 6-8 weeks later. We did not purchase the warranty so we have no recourse. A few days after placing our order we realized we made a mistake in paying for the full order upfront but found that if you cancel your order you're penalized a 15% cancellation fee. Paid $766.66 for a ficus tree that died & since we chose not to purchase warranty due to its expense we have no recourse. The same size ficus tree ranges from $60-$100 at other nurseries. The delivery foreman & crew were excellent. I highly recommend researching landscapers and get a referral from a friend or neighbor. They will stand behind their products and service. read more

Had a great time picking out a tree. Dylan was very patient with us as we looked all around and discussed our options before finally deciding on which one to buy. And he gave us a lot of information to help us with that decision. The installers (Jake and his crew) and the bobcat driver, were super friendly and efficient. We felt confident that we were in good, professional hands. We also appreciate that we were given lots of instructions on how to take care of our tree after planting.
