Vincent Romero and his crew just planted a large tree in my backyard. Vincent, Freddy and the entire crew were courteous, efficient and informative. They asked me how I wanted the tree positioned and then fertilized, mulched and staked it. They cleaned up, making sure no excess dirt from the hole was left on the lawn. Vincent thoroughly explained the watering schedule as well as troubleshooting tips. He sent me pdf instructions and gave me his cell number in case I have any follow-up questions. I went to several nurseries but was surprised with the limited offerings and services. Moon Valley is a good choice for buying larger trees because they will deliver, plant and even maintain your trees. I also opted for the option to have a guarantee on the tree so that if anything should happen (e.g., hail, bugs, etc), i would get a new tree. I also recommend buying the trees "on sale" where they become more affordable. I had my peach tree planted in December and look forward to some fruit next summer. It is beautiful. We took advantage of Memorial Day's sale and purchased a Bur oak, Shemard and Nectarine. The whole process was easy and the company was very professional with alerting us to the 811 inspection, pre-delivery digging, and delivery day instructions. When Vincent Romero and his team arrived (right on time), our trees were wrapped with great care in their truck. Vincent made sure we had the direction of the tree to our liking and asked about wind direction so they could stake them accordingly. His team had them all planted within 45 minutes, complete with staking and mulching. While the team worked, Vincent explained everything that was happening and how to take care of the trees in the coming months. He was very knowledgeable, and gave us some helpful tips on how to protect the trees from deer. I would definitely buy any future trees from Moon Valley Nurseries due to the beauty and health of the trees, and the excellent customer service and care they provide. I was looking to replace my Palm Trees I lost to the freeze in my back yard. The selection and sales process was great. Ishmael answered all my questions, send me pictures of options and did a good job explaining the process. He was attentive and responsive. The trees were delivered and planted today and they look awesome! Justin Dugas and his crew were great! They took care to protect by sod, kept me informed through the process, took care in placing and were well prepared to fix anything damaged in the process. Understandably, I did have a sprinkler line that broke as they pulled my dead palm out but they proactively repaired it and had all the supplies to do it in the spot! Now that is service. My yard was left clean (no trash), no damage and you could barely tell anyone was there. WoUld definitely recommend this company. I would have given them a 5 but my only issue was that the trees were supposed to be installed August 10th (in time for my 25th anniversary party). Due to a truck delivery delay they could not meet that day and I was pushed to Sept 17th. But other than this everything was great. read more
