I purchased a Dishwasher and a Refrigerator, from Home Depot, though the Army Air Force Exchange. The items arrived as scheduled, but then there were problems. They told me they could not install the dishwasher, because there was no shut off valve under the sink. I explained to him that the shut off valves for the plumbing in the residence, was located in the garage. I proceeded to show him the manifold that controls the water supply in the residence. He informed me, that my residence was not up to code. Excuse the hell out of me. They were going to leave the dishwasher in the garage and I told them that I was refusing to accept the dishwasher. He then walked to the garage door and hollered, so all my neighbors could hear that I was not accepting the dishwasher. They then installed my refrigerator. Told me not to use it for 24 hours, then to dump the ice. I had to ask him for the owners Manuel and paper work. He reached in the refrigerator, pulled it out and handed it to me. After he left, I spent an hour unpacking the shelving, etc, inside the refrigerator, with it running. read more

I'm a little disappointed. Such a large store, but they only had one small package of the garden stakes I needed. I guess everyone needed the same type of stakes. According to the store employee, there were more of the stakes listed, but in actuality, the stakes were not available. Really horrible service today from a young man in plumbing dept. I needed washing machine water lines and dryer exhaust hose for new appliances. For some reason, he was very confused about what I was asking for. Since it seemed so difficult, I asked if there was a kit that contained both, so he handed me a package with several water hoses. When I asked again for the kit to also include the dryer vent hose, he again showed me the package with water hoses only. You have to work pretty hard to be this dense. I told him he was not being helpful. No apology from him. read more

Well shame on me apparently I didn't learn my lesson from 8 yeaes ago. I have been looking into buying an all in one washer dryer combo. And these things are not cheap! So I was back and forth between Home Depot and Lowe's. Lowe's didn't have the washer dryer combo I wanted so I reluctantly bought it at Home Depot. Big mistake! The crew that came to set it up was very unprofessional. The guy was so dirty and smelled terrible. Ok I can deal with that. But when they set up my washer the doors wouldn't lose in my laundry room. And I didn't know this until he left. So I had to move to where my laundry room door would close then the hoses wouldn't reach. To top it off when I ran my first load I keep getting an error code. Come to find out the code ment no water! Wouldn't you know these guys never opened the water spots for water to cycle into the washer. And I asked him if everything was running well. He said yes we tested everything!! How can you test it if you never opened the water spots? And to top it off no one could tell me anything about the combo don't sell a product if you're employees don't know how to let the buyer use it! read more

So as a LONG TIME customer both commercially and personally - the Kyle Texas store has become VERY DIFFICULT to support. The attitudes were just bad 2X this week at the "Customer Service" desk. PROCE MATCH: Their own HD app tells me a price and does not say "online only", and so the manager has to be called to match it - she tells me "I'm doing you a favor"! When I asked about their Corporate Price Match, I'm told they don't have to follow Corporates Policy and can deny it if they decide. WHAT? The entire reason for HD having an actual store/brick & mortar location is to support your customers who are loyal enough NOT to just buy on Amazon...or other online resources. CUSTOMER SERVICE isn't hard, but I guess that's for the Blue Box down the road - LOWES here I come! read more

Monday April 1 we picked up a couple of items in the Kyle store with no problems. Then we were going to get a couple of closet doors. I started looking for something to haul them on. I started looking around the store and I found several loaded with inventory. I looked outside loading and saw none. I asked the checkout if they had any. She said were " outside over there" and pointed towards the outside rental equipment. The closest door was shut with a sign pointing to the door facing south. I went out and all the heavy carts were stacked end to end on the north side of the rental entrance. I think it is stupid to have to go that far for a cart. We then went to Lowe's and they always don't but there were carts inside in a store aisle but when they are scattered outside they aren't as far as those at Home Depot. read more

Don't waste your time ordering online. The "in stock" count is inaccurate. Spent $1400 on cabinets after spending over an hour making sure to order the matching cabinets from two different stores that had the three types in stock. Paid for the order only to be told that they only had two total cabinets in stock of the 13 that I had ordered and paid for. They canceled my order (I found out via a text that said "you successfully canceled your order") and promised that the $1400+ would be refunded within 5 DAYS! Management stated " nothing we can do about the inventory being wrong" "home depot online representative stated "if the count is less than 10, we don't advise you trust it, the numbers are regularly incorrect" read more

I visit this store very often as it is near my home. Today was not their best day. As I approached the self checkout area with my products, an employee was directing people to form a line. This makes sense, obviously, but the tone and attitude was horrible. She was not being polite, and was basically scolding customers if they lined up in a different area. I stood in the line and watched her bark orders to the customers. I did not want to be part of this, so I decided to go to a line with a cashier. As I approached the cashier, she sternly said "Cash only". I replied "ok" and proceeded. She repeated a little more sternly "I said Cash only". To which I replied "OK". I then asked what was going on that had everyone in a bad mood. She said "well you don't know what's been going on in here. Our systems are down and we are struggling." I said "you're right, us customer aren't aware of this. Maybe a more informative approach and a smile would be better." She said, "well you customers need to have patience with us because you don't know how our day has been." I said "I understand, but you all should lead with positive customer service and briefly inform us so that we are aware. Courtesy and customer service go a long way, especially when there are issues." She then replied, "you don't understand" clearly disapproving of my comment. Terrible customer service. Manager won't come to speak with you. Denied the price listed on their app. I contacted corporate customer care and was told that stores are allowed to deny any discount. They even denied our military discount. Then they were terribly rude to us. Horrible. The Customer Service women are rude and horrid to deal with. This may be close and convenient, but we will never be back there. We nearly cut up our Home Depot credit card right there. Lowe's may be more expensive on some things, but at least they are typically friendlier and don't have a corporate policy of bait/switch. read more

Bought a grill. In the store there's a big sign that says free delivery AND assembly. I proceeded to customer service and the rep initially tried to charge me $80 for delivery. I pointed her to the sign and took off the delivery. She told me that the grill would be assembled on Thursday (lady said assemblers come in on Thursdays) and delivered on Friday. Well, on Friday the grill was delivered but NOT assembled. Called store to rectify the assembly situation. Was told I'd have to bring the grill to the store, for them to assemble. This grill is 270 lbs! I'm not loading it onto my truck for assembly, then taking it back off when I get home when I was told it would already be assembled when I got it! Terrible service on this item! I guess you can't trust the big signs that are in the store or the customer service rep. read more

I've been to this store a couple of times, once looking for a Christmas decoration the Austin stores were out of (they had it!) and again more recently for some simple hardware items to finish a project. The service was normal and the store had what I needed, but I noted a total lack of employees available to help customers. I almost needed a bit of help with the hardware items, but figured it out myself before I had to find someone. "You can do it. We can help." It's just a pipe dream at this store. The lesson I learned is that the smaller stores downsize not only the store but also the staff it takes to run it. So you may be in for a rude awakening if you need help at this location. I guess it's appropriate they chose an address on 'Dry Hole Drive'. read more

I went to buy a tool box about a month ago. All they had in the one I wanted were on the floor, so I asked if they had one in a box. I was told that they did not, and since I was paying with store credit, I couldn't order one online. That's cool, it's policy, whatever. THEN the lady said she was going to look and see if they had one in a box. Mind you, I had already told her I was in a hurry. I stood there about 10 minutes waiting for her to come back before the other lady at the service desk noticed me and asked if I would like her to check me out. I said yes, and as she was checking me out, the first lady came up and said they didn't have one in the box but she would have some guys put the floor model in my car. I told her it wouldn't fit in my car, my boyfriend had a truck and I could come by later. As she was entering the UPC for the box I told her two more times I would come back later and she kept saying we could "figure it out." I gave up at that point. I brought my car around and 3 guys FORCED this box into my car, damaging the interior in several places. I then took the box back and filed a complaint with corporate. The store manager was supposed to call me back, but it's been a month and no phone call, so I guess she will not be doing that. Do not recommend. Also, the box was damaged and the stationary and free wheels were put on opposite of what they should have been. They sold it to me at full price anyway. read more

The parking is just crazy and this place is more packed than I have seen it over a christmas holiday season. I had placed an online order and was sent a message saying it was ready. I got there pretty early in the morning, called to confirm I was there and what spot I was parked in. I had been on hold waiting for someone to pick up for three minutes at that point. I was one of two people in the curbside spots, I figured the wait wouldn't be long. Waited for a bit, the other person got their stuff and left. I figured I'd be next. Couple other people show up, few minutes later they get their stuff. This happened over and over. After 45 minutes I asked one of the people bringing stuff out if she could check on the status because I had been waiting so long. They finally brought the stuff out almost an hour after I first showed up. I ended up having to go into the store later that day. The guy counting people at the front was telling the customers ahead of us that he worked in the medical field and this was a ridiculous practice and that it wasn't this serious. This is absolutely not your place to say this. read more

My grandmas porch is splitting and she had knee surgery soon we were worried she could fall and get hurt bad. She has no one here to help her and I'm the only one who keeps in contact with her. So we decided to come grab wood and redo her porch steps before we leave tomorrow. She was beyond happy and grateful. So we meet this gentlemen named Richard who helped us cut the wood. We started talking and he asked where we were from etc. We told him the situation and how we were fixing my grandmas porch he thought that was awesome. Such a nice gentlemen. So we are on the way to check out & he hands my husband James Martinez's receipt paper we didn't think anything of it. We thought it was just a slip for the cashier to scan. But he PAID for the wood!!! Such a nice amazing thing this man did. We were lost for words and couldn't find him after. It people like this that more places need. I had an appointment to have my hot water heater replaced by another company but we decided to call Home Depot in Kyle to see what they could do for us. After talking to Wacey he told us that our contractor was overcharging us and that HE would take care of us the next day (Friday) and have a water heater installed. He said we could cancel the other appointment. The next day no one called us but the plumbing company did and said there was no way they could install a water heater before Monday. I went to Home Depot and met the store manager LOGAN. He said that Wacey probably had worked out something with a different contractor and would be in for work in an hour. After not hearing from anyone I called LOGAN back and he said he was working on it and to give him another hour and he would call me back. Another hour passed and LOGAN never called. I spoke to LOGAN again and he said the install would happen and that he would call me back within an hour. LOGAN did not call us at all and left us hanging again. I explained to LOGAN that if they didn't keep their promise to have the hot water heater installed we were going to have to go to a hotel for 3 days. He again said he would check the status and call me back. Once again LOGAN lied about calling us back and simply blew us off and left us hanging. All LOGAN had to do was keep one promise to call us back but instead he just gave us the worst customer service we have ever had at Home Depot. I called the plumbers and they explained why they could not do the install before Monday and we agreed on that. We spent 2 nights in a hotel that did not have to happen if WACEY had NOT told us that he was going to take care of us on Friday. All that LOGAN (the store manager) had to do was be honest with us and return ONE phone call. Wacey make a simple mistake and started back tracking on what he had said. Wacey did keep talking long enough that he admitted twice that he did say he would get us taken care of on Friday. LOGAN lied over and over to us all day and left us hanging over the weekend. Do yourself a favor, either shop at Lowe's or make your own arrangement with the contractor that Home Depot gets a cut from. I really hope Home Depot management looks at the way Logan is running that store, it is unbelievable that someone so inept could be trusted with so much. LOGAN, it's simple, keep your promises and if you can't just call the customer back so he can know which direction to go in. read more

If you want to be made fun of! So I witnessed a employee dealing with another customer. The customer was a elder gentleman in a wheel chair. When I walked up to the self check out I heard the HD employee telling the customer that we aren't Lowe's and we don't do everything that Lowe's does. The customer left. The HD employee was filling the cooler with drinks up front. As I was scanning my items another employee asked him what that customer wanted. I heard this kid say "I don't know. He wanted some shit they do at Lowe's. If he knew Lowe's does it he should have just taken his fuckin ass to Lowe's." Both employees we're both laughing after this. I approached the kid and asked. Is this what you do after customers leave? HD kid said. Yep out of frustration that's what we do! Zero respect from these employees. I hate that I had to witness this. read more

When did Home Depot's customer service go so downhill? Recently went to purchase a sink and needed some help. The first person I encounter and ask her for help with a kitchen sink she replies, "I can't lift anything. I'm pregnant." I'm like.... yea I just need help with sizing..... So she goes to find a coworker who says, "yea. Sorry. You have to know your measurements to pick a sink." I said..... yea. That's why I'm asking for help sizing. Round Two: So.... I bought the wrong size. Who knew??? Handy man says take this one back and ask them to show you something smaller. So I go back and ask for a return and some help. Again.... nobody knows how to measure. When I ask for a manager and finally speak to an older gentleman he says, "I wish I could help you, but these aren't made very often anymore due to the size." He measures it and then suggests I go check a plumbing supply company. That was the most useful bit of advice I got from Home Depot in the last few days! Thank you, sir, for the advice. Just two stars because my husband and I came this morning to rent their gas powered towable cement mixer...and when my husband and the Home Depot employee went to turn it on, the pull rope busted! Rather than go to a different Home Depot because daylight was wasting, my husband asked if someone there could do something. All they did was supply my husband with a new couple feet of cording. The man in orange then proceeded to disappear..Instead of offering to fix the problem themselves- my husband had to go in and buy a 10mm socket to remove the cover because "they didn't have one that he could just borrow in their tool kit" and was able to restring using a new cord. He was able to get it running in the parking lot so we took it out to the site. Two stars for the mixer working well but less three for the Home Depot service.. (My husband gets 10 stars, though!) read more

Friendly service. Sales Associates are very helpful in locating various products throughout the store. Santos & Johnny in the Electrical Department are exceptionally knowledgable in giving advice, & have helped me out tremendously in the past...especially for this Do It Yourselfer!!! If you're doing a Kitchen or Flooring Project, ask for Sulema or Alma. They both really Know their stuff & can get your project started and completed in a timely manner! If I have one complaint, its that occasionally finding a sales associate is a hard task to accomplish....Does EVERYONE take a break at the Same Time?? Maybe there weren't enough sales staff, IDK. Overall I highly recommend shopping at the Kyle location, instead of with the pretentious sales jerks at Blowes down street. read more

So I need to go grab some stuff for my new house. Head to the Home Depot in Kyle. Never been there before so I turn at the giant hone depot sign at the entrance off of I35. We'll slow down folks this isn't an entrance it's a short driveway to a f-ing field. To get to the hone depot you have to now circle back a mile just to get there. Luckily I was able to drive a half mile to Lowe's which turns out has an entrance that actually goes to their parking lot. F you Home Depot, maybe grab some bags of sacrete and spen a day diminishing your driveway since I hear you've been at this location for more than a decade. read more

I ordered 30 fence post clamps and only received one in the box. When I called Home Depot they said there order show what was shipped was the correct weight therefore the shipping company must have reboxed the item with only one clamp in It and it was between me and the shipping company. I explained that they hired the shipping company not me and I feel they should pursuit this. The lady I spoke with told me to contact my credit card company and dispute the sale because they aren't responsible for errors from the shipping company. I have purchased thousands of dollars in goods from the and this is the first time I have been treated like this. I called my credit card company and gave them the whole story so they are looking into it. I hate to say it but I may have to change the supplier I use because of this. So be careful of shipping with Home Depot, if you do business with them go pick it up!!!!! read more

As I write this I am aware we are in a pandemic however that does not mean that you skirt your job. Let me start by saying that the online ordering process was seamless. That gets you one star. Purchase made and get an email a couple of weeks later saying my order is ready with instructions on how to pick up. Decide today is the day to get my new door that I've been waiting for 3 weeks now. Husband wasn't ready for it when it arrived at the store so I waited a week. Arrive to find an overcrowded parking lot that looked like the day before Christmas then the 3rd day of May. Found a curbside parking spot and called as instructed. After repeatedly having to cite my order number and being told there were a couple of cars ahead of me that my order would be right out I sat and waited....and waited....and waited. 45 minutes later I called the number again. This time was told that they were looking for my door and as soon as they had it would be right out. Not 5 minutes later my phone rings and its the clerk I just spoke to telling me they found my door but that the pallet it was on broke and they were trying to remedy but that my door was fine. 1 hour later I had my door! The 2nd star is for the employee who apologized and explained why it took so long. Get home and husband measures and its the wrong freaking size!!!!! They ordered the wrong size!!!!!!! I'm so frustrated that I could scream and cry all at once. Freaking take pride in your job and make sure you grab the right door before you deliver it to the other store!! Absolutely worst purchase ever! If you have a complaint don't expect it to be resolved quickly if at all and expect to work with mediocre salespeople and incompentent & untrained delivery people. I bought a washer & dryer on Black Friday, the soonest they could deliver is 1/10/17. That is a 6 weeks and 4 day wait. My LG appliances cost $1781. I was super excited to finally purchase the W/D of my choice. I specifically told the salesperson (a dept supervisor) that my laundry room was on a 2nd floor. She forgot to add it to the delivery notes but reminded her before I left. It was not added. The day comes for my delivery. An automated system called me and gave me a 2-6pm window. The technician called at 5:15pm. He arrived and dragged his dolly up my carpeted staircase without concern. He ripped my washer hose out of the wall, allowed the water to drain everywhere and tracked the water and lint onto my carpet. He never asked for a towel. When removing the dryer he nearly slipped and lost control of the unit going down the stairs because the carpet was wet from his washer removal mistake. He dragged and clanked each new machine up the stairs without any care. When installing the washer he had great difficulty with the hoses. He ran the washer to test it. When installing the dryer he realized he needed to connect the dryer hose to the washer hose with a Y joint and disconnected the water hose while the washer was running. During the washer/dryer hose connection process, the washer began to drain and spilled all over my tile floor. Again, not asking for a towel and this time, hiding his work from me because I was standing in the hallway, watching him work. While testing the dryer he opened and slammed my door a few times and connected a 2 foot long duct that pushes my dryer at least 8 in off the wall. I own a new home with a laundry room specifically designed for W/D. After all this he had the audacity to ask for a 5 star rating on his customer survey. When I went to Home Depot to complain, all they could do was call the delivery company that never contacted me to reschedule a 2nd appt on the poorly installed W/D. I have always made contact with the 877 complaint line and the local store for updates. No one has cared to call me or fix this problem. I highly advise all customers to spend their money and piece of mind with another home improvement store. Home Depot will not help you or consider your dissatisfaction their concern. **I went to speak to another home improvement store and they had a set of the same brand ready for delivery in 2 days. *******CUSTOMERS BEWARE******* read more
