The business did finally get in touch with me and offered me a $500 store credit if I would give them a better review, so here it is. Up from 1 to 3 stars! To be fair they do have a nice selection of plants here. It would be nice if everything were priced so you didn't spend half an hour walking around and having to take pictures to show the sales team later when you wanted pricing. I'm hopeful that things will improve as at least the Buda location manager seemed to care. read more

Mixed feelings about this place. On the online site for Buda, it says "free planting". Not true! There's a "you plant it yourself price" and they plant it price. That being said, the crape myrtles I bought are stunning, except for one that I may request a return on. I did go back for more, but next time, I think I'll look at some other nurseries. I did learn a lot from them and now I think I can plant my own small trees in the future. I do recommend that you take a picture of the trees/plants you pick out (if you are going to have them delivered). A tag with your name is put on the plants you pick. Take a pic of that including what the plant looks like. Pricey, but overall I'm glad about the end result. read more

After speaking with the General Manager Tony, he assured me that my issue with the representative is being dealt with and that they don't typically operate at the level that was given on our prior visit. As this was the only time we've had issues with any of their representatives not being friendly, we believe that we will give them another try as we love their products and services and were heartbroken that one employee could make us feel the way she did. It started with Richard who was very personable and helpful with my choice. He was also very helpful on my several follow-up phone calls and visits. On delivery day Justin showed up with his crew and did a great job of planting and explained how to care for my new plants. Richard assured me that the Crape Myrtle would bloom this season so I was a little skeptical when it showed up with no blooms. Well, it's only been planted for about 3 weeks and I now have 5 full bloom clusters and about 45-50 that are growing. All in all it was a great experience! read more

Crystal and her team did an awesome job planting 8 Italian Cypress along our fence line. They were careful not break any water lines in my flower beds and communicated clearly in regards to access. We encountered one giant rock where a fruit tree was going to be planted and they scheduled Justin to use his air jack hammer. Justin showed up within 2 days and promptly cleared the rock with plenty of space for the root system. I highly recommend using MV in Buda! read more

My first experience buying a largish tree to have planted in my front yard. I chose a Monterrey Oak. My salesperson, Wes, was very friendly and helpful in my finding what I wanted within my budget. No pressure at all to buy then. As I walked away to think about it and come back later, I decided I might as well do it now. So i went back in and Wes got me all set up with my purchasing and financing as well as scheduling the actual planting (which was 5 weeks out because they are super busy here). I was told they would call me the day before to give me a time period in which they would arrive. (At least I thought that's what I was told.) I did have to call the day before to make sure I was on the schedule. And I was. Wednesday afternoon, I receive a call from Justin telling me they are on their way and are about 15 minutes out. They pulled up in front of my house about 15 minutes later. Justin talked to me about where I wanted it to go and all the details involved with that. He was very friendly and polite. And funny too. (I always appreciate a good sense of humor!) He and his two man crew proceeded to dig a large enough hole to put the tree in. And mulched it and staked it. It looks great! This is our 2nd time working with Moon Valley, and they've really won us over over time. We had insurance on 3 mature trees we bought a year prior, and when we wanted to replace them, MV gave us no trouble. Eric was really helpful in taking us around and choosing replacements, texting us down to the day of planting and making last minute alterations! On the day of planting, Freddy and the planting crew were great, just like the first time, and educated us on how to properly take care of the trees, being careful to ask us about placement, etc. Overall, Moon Valley is expensive, however the quality of the plants is excellent, and their customer service has been wonderful thus far. We've been to this location before just to look around, but this was our first purchase. Carlos approached us as we were getting out of our vehicle and saw it through to the end. We were looking to replace a tree that died and didn't want a sapling. Carlos showed us each age group and gave us his favorite fast growers. We came in with set parameters, but opened them up to other possibilities gaining us more bang for our buck. He even stay late after they closed to wrap everything up. We were offered lots of water (it was terribly hot) and we got to take home fresh picked peaches and plums. Carlos is a really sweet young guy who really knows his stuff.
