they are more interested in landscaper and contractor business than homeowners. one very nice lady inside if you can catch her. very helpful for my tree purchases. everyone else is indifferent and you have to work to grab their attention. beware the return policy of 24 hours. I couldn't plant for 48 hours and two of the dozens of plants I bought died. the manager would NOT exchange them. even after I pointed out spending $900 the past week. they really don't care about homeowner business. the prices are good but not great. the service is nonexistent. you're on your own here. read more

This can be an incredibly busy nursery so it's best to come with an attitude of knowing that before hand and expecting that you may not be waited on immediately. I can tell they're all trying hard to help but you may need to wait your turn. With that being said, they have almost everything in regard to plants and trees. It's well laid out. Their pricing seems to be competitive with other nursery's as well. I had two different orders delivered and was fortunate enough to have the same driver, Timothy, both times. What a great guy and a true asset to Leaf Nursery. His "can do" attitude was GREATLY appreciated. He had to maneuver the trailer in a very tight situation and he was a master. Not just that, he was kind and super helpful! I can't say enough about him and how much I appreciated his great attitude! Can't say enough good things about this place, but I'm gonna try to keep it short, and sweet! The customer service here is top-notch, all the employees are passionate, and truly enjoy helping you with your project. The value and quality of plants is also amazing compared to every other nursery I've been to. Back in October we lost our family pet, and we decided to plant a couple of things in his remembrance in our backyard. We sadly broke the news to our son in the garden area, and explained we were going to plant something in his memory. One of the managers Cory noticed it looked like something was wrong, he came out, offered his assistance and we explained to him what was going on, he then felt moved to buy us a couple plants on him, and then taught my son how to plant and care for our plants. Ever since then I've gotten help from multiple employees and I've always gotten the same customer service. Cindy is also one of my favorites, as she is very knowledgeable, and helpful! Today was my second time going and both times I have had such a great experience! The staff have been very friendly and helpful. My first visit two employees offered to help me find what I was looking for. One of them showed me around and gave me a brochure with growing tips, a pricing guide, and explained the layout of their whole 4-acre nursery and the location of various plants. This place is the best in town! If you buy your plants and flowers from a big box store because you think they have better prices, I'll politely say you're wrong. Leaf has the best selection and highest quality plants and flowers in Austin. I contacted Leaf through their online chat and was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. I'm a person who gives places the benefit of the doubt if there is a mix up. I called around 1:30 to make sure they had the plants I needed for my project and confirm how late they were open. I was told they had plenty of options for me and that they were open until 4:30. It was 98 degrees but I needed these plants in the ground for a project deadline so I hopped in my truck and arrived at 3:30. I was greeted by disgruntled patrons who were leaving, saying they were getting kicked out because Leaf was closing. I went in and spoke with a gal who showed me her phone with what was apparently a FB notice saying the boss says we are closing early. I said why didn't you let me know when I called? I really need these plants today, Im working on a deadline and I called earlier and was told you'd be open til 4:30. She just shrugged and said, sorry, boss says we are closing at 3:30 today. Boss's call. It's one thing to plan an early closing and give customers notice. It's another thing to decide to close at the last minute and kick customers out of your store during regular hours. NEVER use this nursery! I purchased over $1000 worth of plants in late winter, some of which did not survive even to late spring. Leaf DOES NOT WARRANTY ANYTHING they sell. I was quite shocked by this as I've never dealt with a nursery that doesn't warranty their plants for at least a single season. After buying these plants I later found other nurserys that sell for less, so there's really no reason to go here in the first place. read more

Leaf landscape has an amazing selection of large and small trees and shrubs. If you have a pickup truck I highly suggest making a trip to replace your landscaping lost in the freeze. Im going to say it: The bad review obviously doesn't shop at nurseries or understand plant delivery protocol and was upset when they were SOL. If you go in person, you're helped out by every human that can. If they don't know an answer, they find out for you. They have a huge selection and take care of their product. We can count on them to carry all the standard Texas plants and then also have a giant 100 gallon tree ready at the drop of a hat. Yes, they don't take refunds- it's a living plant, not a t shirt. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting muddy. Great place to bring clients for landscaping inspiration. Wholesale prices for companies, retail pricing for common joe. Leaf Landscape has a huge selection of plants and trees. If you're looking for a specific plant 9/10 they'll have it. However, I'm not a fan of the customer service or environment. Most of the workers look stressed, and no one ask if you need help. I remember asking the front desk where I could find the Yaupon Hollies on special, and he responded by saying it's in the very back. Great! Sounds easy enough. I went out back, and I see hundreds of trees. Never found the one I was looking for. I went back inside, and asked the worker if he could please walk me to the areas. He hesitated a bit, but eventually did. In the end we never found them, and just mentioned they sold out. read more

I have purchased a lot at Leaf. I bought a giant metal trough the last time I was there plus two flats of plants, soil and three plants and was instructed how and what to do so they wouldn't freeze. They never came back. I called and they informed me they couldn't do anything. I paid $150 each for three plants! I am super disappointed. read more

They set this place up in such a way that you absolutely cannot do anything without a person to help you, the plants have no names no descriptions no price tags no gallon sizes you can walk around the lot for hours and have no idea what you're looking for. And there is absolutely zero staff members to help even if I wanted to buy a plant I have no idea how I would get it loaded and get it to my vehicle because I haven't seen a single person and I've been here an hour. After going to two other local nurseries in coming up with zip with respect to good size salvia, I looked to Yelp for other alternatives. Leaf Landscape showed up with high marks and so I went there yesterday and within five minutes found exactly what I'd been looking for for several weeks. I walked around the nursery and was extremely impressed with the health and variety of the stock. When I checked out I was also impressed with the prices. Equal to or better than the local box store and the local organic nursery. I think I found my nursery home! read more

Jeff and Brad are always eager to help. When they are busy, which is most of the time, find a guy in the yard and get to know him so you can get in and out quickly. It is nice to see a local giving the conglomerates a run for their money. Selection is good and quality stays pretty high. read more

Sam was a great help when we visited Leaf. They are primarily a wholesale nursery but if you want to put a big retail order together they are there to help. This is a review for the general public. I stopped in to Leaf for my second visit today. Their sign says open to the public. First visit was pleasant and a nice employee chatted with me for a minute but was busy and didn't have time to answer my questions about unmarked plants... she suggested I stop at the front desk desk, set up some time to talk with an employee at another time. Their front desk was busy so we left without scheduling anything. Today, I wandered their plants for a bit. I wasn't approached by any employees and several sections of plants are not marked so I wasn't able to Google and get information for myself. I went to the front desk and waited patiently for an employee to acknowledge me standing there. I asked if there was someone who could help me pick some plants out for my front yard. I inquired about a consultation with an employee to help me out. I was informed they don't do that and they didn't have anyone who could help me because they are wholesale. There was no offer to see if an employee was available to help me with any questions. Disappointed as my first visit didn't give me that impression. I have a whole yard of landscaping to replace and would have been happy to spend plenty of money here. Good selection of plants and all looked healthy but not good for the DIY homeowner who needs some assistance with names of plants they are looking at, cost, and details of soil/light/water requirements. Leaf is plenty busy with wholesale I'm sure, and I'm not their preferred clientele. There are several other nurseries and landscape supply places that cater to the general public where plants are well marked to allow the average person to get info for themselves or have employees willing to assist. If you are hiring a landscaper with an account at Leaf, I'd say this is a great place. If you are shopping for yourself and want some assistance, I'd say pass it for somewhere else. read more

Buyer beware! No where will they mention warranties, UNTIL your final receipt. The only on the bottom, it notes all sales are final. The exact same format quotes and documentation all lack this little not. I suppose they want your money first. In any case, we received plants in poor condition. The delivery person said to call LEAF. When we did, a very uncouth "Brad" told us we should have refused delivery, and despite what the delivery person had told us an hour before, there was now nothing they could do. Ok this place is so cool. It goes on forever. I was looking for a specific type of sedum and not only did they have it but they had it in many different sizes. The plants where vibrant and healthy. I wish there was clearer pricing on plants. Everyone I came across was helpful, from the older smiling gentleman water plants to the young man that offered his name and told me to grab a cart and he'd start a ticket for me. From what I could see they had small, large, colorful, healthy plants and trees. It's tucked away so keep an eye out for the cheeky sign facing the road. read more

It's definitely geared towards landscapers. On July 18, 2018 Was the first time that we had stopped into Leaf Landscape Supply. It will not be our last time. I was with a Lady that I take care of and she was looking for a certain type of plant for a planter outside. As soon as I got there I was greeted by Mr. Javier Booton. I showed him a picture of the planter and location where we needed it. He was very knowledgeable and showed me several plants that he would recommend. Amazing trees and customer service! We visited Leaf Landscape and Supply at a last minute whim and purchased 3 LARGE Loquat trees at a very reasonable price at the end of October. We waited to post our review to see if they lived and they are perfect! The staff there was super helpful and even thought it was super muddy they managed to load the trees for us. Supercool place with friendly knowledgeable staff and wide span of availability, but if your a one person home owner looking to stop by and get some stuff for your yard on your way home from work, you are out of luck as their hours suck and they close at 1 on Saturdays. They obviously make enough business on larger projects and commercial landscaping needs. Otherwise it's a cool place to stop if you have a random day off like I did. read more
