We took advantage of Memorial Day's sale and purchased a Bur oak, Shemard and Nectarine. The whole process was easy and the company was very professional with alerting us to the 811 inspection, pre-delivery digging, and delivery day instructions. When Vincent Romero and his team arrived (right on time), our trees were wrapped with great care in their truck. Vincent made sure we had the direction of the tree to our liking and asked about wind direction so they could stake them accordingly. His team had them all planted within 45 minutes, complete with staking and mulching. While the team worked, Vincent explained everything that was happening and how to take care of the trees in the coming months. He was very knowledgeable, and gave us some helpful tips on how to protect the trees from deer. I was looking to replace my Palm Trees I lost to the freeze in my back yard. The selection and sales process was great. Ishmael answered all my questions, send me pictures of options and did a good job explaining the process. He was attentive and responsive. The trees were delivered and planted today and they look awesome! Justin Dugas and his crew were great! They took care to protect by sod, kept me informed through the process, took care in placing and were well prepared to fix anything damaged in the process. Understandably, I did have a sprinkler line that broke as they pulled my dead palm out but they proactively repaired it and had all the supplies to do it in the spot! Now that is service. My yard was left clean (no trash), no damage and you could barely tell anyone was there. WoUld definitely recommend this company. I would have given them a 5 but my only issue was that the trees were supposed to be installed August 10th (in time for my 25th anniversary party). Purchased a tree from the Austin nursery. Our salesman, Sergio, was great. We were wanting a type of tree he could have sold us, but instead he directed us to a Vitex tree, same price, but the Vitex will survive the Texas weather. Angel and his team just planted the tree for us today, they were wonderful. Angel even noticed my Sycamore tree in the yard was leaning due to losing some branches during the ice storm and he and his team straightened the tree and added t-posts to help it. Was very impressed with the wide selection of plants & trees but also the variety of sizes available. I had once of their designers Richard Lawrence help me. Rich was fantastic & made numerous trips to my house to get a better idea of the size & scope of my project. He created an awesome plan with a great variety of drought tolerant & central Texas hardy plants. The fun part is when they arrive with all your plants & plant everything for you. Yes, you do pay a bit more than something from a big box store you plant yourself, but I was willing to pay a bit more to have a everything done in one afternoon vs me spending numerous weekends & evenings doing it myself. The install crew was just as awesome! Site manager, Zack & his crew were awesome! Went over plans before planting anything & allowed me to be collaborative once we started laying everything out. We tweaked the design in some places to accommodate for future growth as well as everything not being too compact. They cleaned up everything & even hosed off the dirt & debris from my driveway. Highly recommended MVN for your landscaping needs. You do pay a bit more but the finished project looks amazing. I can't wait until next spring when things start blooming and maturing. read more

We bought 10 trees from Moon Valley and they were just installed yesterday. The purchasing process was really comfortable and smooth. Our sales person, Cameron was super knowledgeable and patient. As we went through our decision process, he was ready with ideas, suggestions, recommendations, and even texting back and forth various pictures of different options. We never felt remotely pressured or encouraged to buy anything that didn't make sense for us. Cameron came to our property and helped brainstorm on best choices and then helped figure out the best place to plant everything.The lot has tons of choices of different trees and different sizes and prices. There are a ton of options! Installation day was led by Justin and his crew. They were incredibly careful and diligent. I paid $1295 for a 3' palm tree, loaded it up in the trailer brought it home with me. After digging a hole and cutting the plastic pot away from the palm tree. The soil had a rotten smell so bad it almost made me sick. 1" thick of soil around the root-ball. The roots were the worst root bound I've ever seen in my life. As a matter fact I couldn't even loosen up the root-ball, it was so bad so I just dropped it in the ground and hope for the best. I did take pictures! read more

Getting a final price from these guys was tough. I had picked out one of the few trees that did not come with free planting. I was given a price for the planting and was ready to get it all set up. At this point, a $200 trip fee was mentioned. So the $300 tree I wanted was now $600. The company is great, the salesman i had was useless after the sale. Needed help with a bad tree that had been planted. Be sure you pull your tree completely away from others before they tag it so that you make sure you get a good view. Had no return calls from the salesman until i got in touch with the DM but repeat calls to my salesman got no answers and his phone messages were full. The crew that planted the original tree and then replaced it was Vincent and his crew. They were fantastic job. I can not say the same for the salesman and i have trouble calling him a salesman all he did was write up the order. Steve Diaz and his team from Buda came to plant a new tree this morning. We received a call when they were on their way, they were on time and professional. They gave us specific directions on how to take care of our tree and answered all our questions before they left. The yard looked spotless when they left and the tree itself looked great. We were really happy with Steve and his team, all with great attitudes despite the heat. I looked for mature palm trees for months before I stumbled upon Moon Valley. Arborist Captain Philip kept the gate open late for me, took my order, and came to my property a few weeks later to work with me on where to install them. Then his installation crew led by Justin just finished digging thru the rocks and clay and put them in the ground, finishing with a ring of mulch. Well done by all! Moon Valley isn't the cheapest but their trees are excellent (and lots of choices) and their service is as good as I've ever experienced. We recently purchased 3 magnolia and 5 crepe myrtle trees from Patricc at Moon Valley in Houston. Patricc was so knowledgeable and he really cares about his customers. This place has the most unethical pricing I've ever seen. I priced 95 gallon trees through a couple of other nurseries which came in at 1200 each and 12' tall planted. Moon had same trees but 2' smaller for 1800 each lol. This does not include install either. Finally we went through our landscaper who got them even lower at 1000/each, so we ordered 10. Even with our landscaper's retail we saved 8k. 8 grand! So Moon is charging double for exact same species and specs (but theirs were smaller). This is ridiculous. We noticed this on pretty much all their plants. The other annoying factor was how they talk like used car salesman or carnies trying to coerce you into buying and using diversion tactics in conversations so you pay an extra 8k in trees. I don't think so. No idea how this place is in business but ppl need to do their research before paying unnecessary prices like this with ppl who do not even know much about plants. When I can't use my landscaper for wholesale I go to Leaf, which has a large selection of large plants at realistic prices. This is just highway robbery and I'm baffled ppl who fall for it when they can save 1/2 price if they just take a little time and shop around. Beware. read more
