The vineyard is beautiful , however the service was definitely wanting for more . I came here for my birthday . My husband bought a timeshare as a gift and they were sweet to recommend and gift us two vouchers to this particular tasting room . I intended to spend my day day drinking , with my husband and girlfriends . We did about two / three of the tastings and decided to get some sun and some food out in the cute patio . We took some pictures and sit , when not even a minute passes and my chair broke . Thank god my wine glass was on the table I scrapped my leg and hand and truthfully I was more embarrassed than hurt . It was actually kind of funny , I'm 115' pounds and pretty small and the way that chair took me was funny . My husband moved the chair and employees saw and COMPLETELY disregarded what happened . Another guest that wasn't even with us had to grab a staff member and tell them to take the chair and that it broke . I wasn't really injured but the curtesy of checking in on a guest post something like this happening just seems like common sense . Still I was in a great mood , good company got a charcuterie board , that I would recommend you save your 36 dollars for . It was not special or good . I know this was beyond Ms Diana's scope and the person at the front scope or work duties and still no one checked in after . So no I do not recommend coming here this was my first time in Temecula wine tasting . I'll stick to going up north the only solace worth the drive was the company and the pictures . We were married at Monte de Oro in September and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience! First, the event manager, Brittany Roderick was the best to work with - she was easygoing and professional during the entire process, and made us feel very welcome. We booked over a year in advanced and communicated throughout the process. Brittany was quick to answer any questions as well as offer advice. You couldn't ask for a nicer person to work with Brittany exceeded our expectations. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. All of our guests had a great time. My first time at this winery last week. Sunning views, spacious patios with a lot of seating. I wanted to take a tour of the cellars but was told it's closed. I was a bit disappointed, why is it closed on a Friday when there is a lot of out of town visitors. I didn't do any tasting but my sister did. She liked most of the wines she tried. I have visited this winery quite a few times and I must say it is truly wonderful! The staff is always very welcoming, inviting, and friendly. The wines I have tasted are delicious and the food is delicious too! We even hosted my Father's 70th birthday at the winery and I could not have asked for a more lovely and personal experience. We were all treated like family and it is clear that the staff truly care about their patrons, whether you have been there once or a hundred times. On the website, they said you have to purchase food in order to have wine but when we arrived, they did not make us. They do not do tastings, only bottles or glasses. My friends and I visited Monte de Oro today. We were a group of 4 and two of the group are wine club members. We sat in the members only area and ordered complimentary glasses of wine, wine members flights, and food from the bistro. The wine bar server was totally overwhelmed when we got there - only one server for the entire facilty - with the members only bar closed. We got our glassesof wine and sat down and waited for our food and wine flights. A man from another table (I won't call him a gentleman) came over and said we were too loud. We were watching a video about a comedian performing to decide if we wanted to buy tickets to an upcoming event the comedian was appearing at. Our video wasn't loud at all but you could tell he was a conservative comedian and the man who approached our table didn't like what he heard. We were a bit shocked but shut off our video. The table he was sitting at was extremely loud - laughing and carrying on. We didn't approach his table but were shocked that they felt we were too "loud" while they were being obnoxious. We waited for our food for a bit and the server came with the food but with no silverware or extra plates for pizza so we waited until he brought them out to us. It was quite chilly outside and there were no regular tables in the winery with chairs so we had to sit outside. We asked for them to turn on the heaters and were told they couldn't turn on the heaters. It was windy and about 65 degrees so the request wasn't unreasonable but we were denied. We kept waiting for our wine flights and they never came so one of our group went inside and the wine bar server had no one she was waiting on but our flights were just sitting on the counter. She said we should just take them so our friend brought them out to us. Positives - good food that was fresh and tasted great Cons - service was poor, patrons were rude, atmosphere was bad (cold outside with no available indoor seating) I've been to this winery many times and have enjoyed myself but our visit today was not good. read more

We had our wedding here and I can't say enough about the venue, the staff and the food and wine! The winery has a beautiful Tuscan look and feel, but truly transforms in the evening under the lights. I came in with my husband on 07/06/24 and the wine was pretty good. The outside was nice because they had misters and it was pretty hot. We had ordered a charcuterie board and it had been about 30min. Mind you there were people around us he came in after and had received some of their food already. So I had gone to see why it was taking a while and the girl at the entrance goes and checks for me. I'm thinking it'll come in 5 min or so. But no there's all the tables around us that we're getting their food and another 20 min pass by and still nothing. My husband was furious at this point since all the tables around us had receive their boards and we still hadn't received anything. So he went up and requested for a refund. So I have no idea how the food tasted but I do recommend going to THE CELLAR great service and amazing food and not over priced. read more

I wasn't so impressed with the ambiance as it seems they let people take over multiple tables for a group. It was in the members section and this group took up 5 tables for a birthday party. Moving tables and chairs around. I thought you would need to reserve a section for a group. Especially on the weekend. I also prefer an adult environment . A decent spot if you looking for a small winery and a good view of wine country. Came here for a free wine tasting that I got from Welk Resorts. So first thing is the winery is up on a small hill so you have a great view of wine country. Came here with one of my ex's and we had a great time because it wasn't too crowded like some wineries in the area. A lot of the people there also had a free tasting from Welk which meant most of the people there were a little older. The wine was good and I even bought a bottle because Welk gave me a coupon which was nice. The employees were very helpful and explained everything from the wine to the food. Speaking of food we got a chicken sandwich I believe and it was so damn delicious I wanted another one to go! Went here with my boyfriend for a free wine tasting + bottle we won at the fair. It came with 6 different wine tastings and we loved them all! Love that you get to pick all of your selections too. My favorite was the Dolce de Oro and Muscat (I love sweet wines), My boyfriend's favorites were the darker dessert wine (can't remember the name) and the Riesling for a drier wine. The free wine was the Unique Elements Red and I loved it! I've never been a Red fan but it's on the sweeter side which I like. They also have a lot of selection for bigger reds and less sweet wine which I know a lot of people like. Only downside here was our charcuterie plate. Was under the impression it would come with meat and cheese, but only came with meat, olives, and random veggies. My boyfriend didn't like it because he wanted cheese too. Overall, the wines at Monte de Oro were solid. The venue was decent compared to the other wineries that we visited in Temecula Wine Country. Since we came on a Saturday, the venue was jam packed with an absence of parking. The employees at Monte de Oro were really friendly and nice. They were extremely enthusiastic about pouring the wine and describing the characteristics of each wine. The wines that I liked the most were the Simplexity (love the name and the smoothness) and the Cabernet Franc. If you buy in bulk, they give you a small discount, but if you join their Synergy Wine Club, it entitles you to a substantial discount to their wine and first dibs on new wines. There is a separate line by the front entrance where you can order food and they will gladly bring the food to you as you continue to wine taste. read more

Great seating for large parties. You order inside and they bring you your food. Service is friendly! Pesto chicken pizza is delicious as well as the burgers. Ordered the grilled pest chicken sandwich...it was so so! They do not provide water for the table and there is water inside but you have to use a little dixie cup. Great location, can't go wrong with the sweeping terrace view. We spent the last couple hours of the day sipping wine and enjoying a generous order of truffle fries that's enough for 4 people to share! We did the traditional $15 tasting ($13 on week days) and enjoyed the variety of wines although wish the pours were more generous. Doreen was welcoming and friendly. We had a couple tastings at the bar but soon migrated to the terrace and lingered there enjoying the clouds and rays of sun peeking through. We enjoyed the Simplexity, Petite Syrah, Viognier, and the dessert wine last - a sweet Legato that is a port-like wine. They have lots of fun events going on, just check their website. Sundays are usually live band music but due to some sprinkles that morning, the band had cancelled. We still enjoyed the oldies but goldies songs while kicking back on the terrace. Planning to do one of their 3rd Sunday of every month Epicurean Delights. Highly recommend to stop in when you need a breather from tasting rooms and want to enjoy some good food and fresh air -- before going back on the wine trail, or to wrap up a full day of fun winetasting and put your feet up to enjoy a gorgeous sunset. read more

I've been a wine member here for four years now. This is one of my favorite wineries in Temecula. They have some spectacular reds here.....Cabernet, Syrah, Tempernillo, and some very good blends. I love the grounds here, very large outside patio with lots of seating to enjoy the panorama of beauty that Temecula Valley offers. The inside ceilings are very tall and gives that openness feeling. When you first walk in you are in the gift shop, lots of lovely wine related items. The Bistro is no light weight. It's open Friday through Sunday. We always enjoy the food. Love the tri tip sandwich and sweet potato fries! Every quarter the winery has a wine pick up party for the members that the Bistro cooks for. They serve some really great horderves for the partys. One thing that sets all businesses apart and that's customer service. The staff is polite and always glad to see you. I know I'm not thier only customer, but they make you feel that way. read more

Wine tasting as it should be! I found this winery on Google search and decided to give it a try as their tasting is one of the lowest priced (6 wines for just $20!!). But they also have 9 wines for $30, which includes 3 of their reserve wines. So went with this option as we love reserve wines. All the wines tasted great, we could also feel the notes of the contents in the wines. They have a good collection that includes reds, whites, rose and dessert wines. They also have 4 reserve wines. So they let you pick any 6 from the regular and 3 from the reserve wines. They also had a Presidents day deal: buy any 2 wines and get a reserve wine for $35 (normally priced at $90). read more
