When I finally called, I was told they had ordered the wrong part. After about a week without my car, I was charged roughly $1,500 just to get the A/C blowing cold again. When I picked the car up, I immediately discovered both headlights were out. I had to replace the bulbs myself. I brought the car back and asked about it, but they weren't able to determine what caused the issue. Fast forward 7 months, and the A/C failed again. They replaced the compressor a second time. A few days later, while on a trip to the Sierras, the car suddenly lost electrical power--power steering, brakes, and multiple warning lights all came on. I was barely able to get it safely off the road in Jamestown and had to have it towed home. While preparing to replace the alternator and serpentine belt (given the mileage), I discovered several concerning issues: the main power wire to the alternator was floppy loose, the battery negative cable was not properly tightened, and a wire routing clip near the alternator wasn't secured. Since access to the A/C compressor typically involves working in that area, it raises serious concerns about the quality of the previous work. I can't say with absolute certainty what caused everything, but the timing and condition of these components make it hard to ignore. Overall, this was a frustrating and concerning experience--poor communication, repeat repairs, and workmanship issues that could have led to a dangerous situation. I would recommend others proceed with caution.

So I called scenic towing because of yelp and the fact that they were in Modesto. They were able to get the flatbed tow truck to my location in about 40 minutes. They then transported my Jeep to a local tire company and I was been busy doing tire shopping . I appreciate the ease of working with scenic, towing the fact that they were available and picked up on my call made a difference and then I was able to pay with Venmo and they provided me with an invoice for my insurance company via email.

They confirmed twice that a driver was on the way, so I waited patiently. Over two and a half hours later, no one ever showed up.Instead of arriving, the service was suddenly canceled with no explanation at all. No phone call, no update, nothing. I was left sitting there with my child after relying on their confirmation that help was coming. It's extremely frustrating and honestly unacceptable for a company to give false ETAs, repeatedly confirm service, and then simply cancel without any communication. When someone is stranded, especially with a young child, reliability and honesty matter. I pay for roadside assistance benefits specifically for situations like this, and Scenic Towing completely failed to provide the service they promised. This experience was stressful, unsafe, and incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend this company to anyone who actually needs dependable roadside assistance.

It had been a very busy year and I still had many demands on my time that were not related to the trip, and I was stressed. I asked them to do routine engine maintenance and to find out why the dashboard AC had stopped working. They did as I asked and found and fixed the problem with the AC right away. I wanted new tires plus a spare for the trip. Savio referred me to Ramon's and they did a wonderful job with the tires, including locating a rim for the spare. The Solis has no space for a spare. I ordered a mounted from Landed Gear and had it shipped to Leales and Leales followed the instructions for the installation so that the spare stayed put even when we drove the famously rough Alcan Highway there and back. The road is built on permafrost and its reputation has not been exaggerated - we encountered one car with two flat tires - but with good tires and slow driving, we never needed our spare. We also did not experience the problems I've read people have with other brands or improperly installed back door mounted spare tire racks: broken window or warping of the metal doors.

I immediately felt uncomfortable around him, he wasn't friendly at all it was like he was to busy eating his lunch to take the time to actually understand the situation I was having. I did apologies for interrupting his lunch. But I was made to feel it was more important for him to get me out of there so he could get back to it!! if you want quite time during lunch hang a closed sign on the door or lock up during your lunch break!!!! After he drove me away, i made a comment while walking out ( I guess you don't need the work ) his response We don't !!!! thats gotta tell you everthing. One thing to remember: No customers = No Business = N Job !!!! I will never go back here to be treated like that.
