I brought my Winnebago Solis to Leales in June 2025 in prep for a long trip to Alaska starting in late July. It had been a very busy year and I still had many demands on my time that were not related to the trip, and I was stressed. I asked them to do routine engine maintenance and to find out why the dashboard AC had stopped working. They did as I asked and found and fixed the problem with the AC right away. I wanted new tires plus a spare for the trip. Savio referred me to Ramon's and they did a wonderful job with the tires, including locating a rim for the spare. The Solis has no space for a spare. I ordered a mounted from Landed Gear and had it shipped to Leales and Leales followed the instructions for the installation so that the spare stayed put even when we drove the famously rough Alcan Highway there and back. The road is built on permafrost and its reputation has not been exaggerated - we encountered one car with two flat tires - but with good tires and slow driving, we never needed our spare. We also did not experience the problems I've read people have with other brands or improperly installed back door mounted spare tire racks: broken window or warping of the metal doors. read more

AVOID LEALE'S RV -- Misleading, Frustrating, and Unprofessional I had a really frustrating experience with Leale's RV, particularly with Michael in their service department. I brought in my 2024 Thor motorhome for a battery-related issue. Michael incorrectly told me that my coach does not support Group 31 AGM batteries and insisted I would need to spend nearly $2,000 to upgrade to lithium. He was adamant, repeatedly citing his past experience working at Thor (from years ago) as the basis for his claims--even though the coach came from the factory with Group 31s. He had a condescending attitude and loves to talk on the phone explaining how experienced he was. Meanwhile, he keeps sending me photos of their posted $239/hr labor rate as if that justified the misdiagnosis or poor service, rather than addressing the actual issue. It felt like a deflection rather than a solution. Thankfully, Savio his manager was able to step in, confirm the unit was indeed compatible with Group 31 batteries, and help me get the right battery installed immediately. I bought the battery myself and dropped it off for a quick, proper install--something that should've happened from the beginning. Although I'm having to pay for the diagnostics even though they have the authorization from the manufacturer to cover the diagnostics! To make matters worse, I was told they wouldn't cash the reimbursement check from the manufacturer (Thor), but they cashed it anyway, leaving me out $700 and damaging my relationship with Thor. I had to chase down Thor myself for clarification and deal with the fallout. Despite talking to them on June 26 and then explaining that they closed the case and zero checks would be cashed. July 16 and Thor confirms the check was indeed cashed. This whole experience left me feeling deceived, ignored, and frustrated. Between the incorrect technical advice, the lack of accountability, and the poor communication, I cannot recommend Leale's RV to anyone looking for honest, competent service. I'm just glad that I did not pay for them to upgrade my batteries at $1,800 because the coach already supports lithium batteries. read more

Leal's RV is responsive and was able to schedule our trailer roof resealing, awning and slide cover replacement and axle bearing replacement service on short notice. They store the trailer indoors until the job is finished, and provided pictures of their work in progress. We recently purchased a camper van and visited Leale to get an estimate to do some upgrades and repair a water leak. We were hoping Leale would be our go-to place to do our regular camper van maintenance due to their convenient location. We had an appointment to come by to speak with Michael, but he was surprised when we showed up at the designated time. We told him what we wanted to do an upgrade and repair. He had one of his technicians examine our van briefly and told us to call him back in a few days for an estimate. When we left, we got the impression Michael didn't really want to service our van. Anyways, we called back in a few days, but he was out of the office. We called back a few days later, but he didn't answer his phone so we left a message, but he never called back. Our motorhome roof blew off in the bad weather we had in February. We had made vacation plans to go away and we needed our RV fixed as soon as possible. We took our RV to Leale's. They have a large shop with a great crew who works at Leale's.  Babette went above and beyond to secure the materials needed to do the roof replacement. My wife and I are extremely happy with the great work done by Leale' s RV. They replaced the entire roof with a brand new roof. It looks fabulous. They also washed the outside and cleaned the inside. Everything looked better than new.  We were able to go on our vacation as planned and Leale's performed above my expectations their staff were very helpful so I'm giving them the best rating. I've recently purchased my first (used) RV. I took it to Leale's for oil change, and overall inspection of the mechanics before heading out on a road trip. Michael, the service manager is GREAT, super friendly, helpful, and lots of patience for all of my questions. In addition to the oil change, I also had the oil changed on the generator, replaced the house thermostat, and had to replace the regulator on the propane. The first time we took our Class A motorhome here for some maintenance was 4 years ago when we first purchased the motorhome. We came back here again for some major service done with a 50,000 mile checkup, oil change, tranny fluid, lube, brakes and filters. Simple stuff right? Well... Our CAT C7 Diesel Engine didn't start after the oil change. The technicians worked overtime but still couldn't figure out why. We couldn't move our home anywhere and they had to lock down the shop after hours. The employees were kind enough to book us a room at the nearby hotel for the night. They even plugged us into shore power so the fridge would stay cold. Next morning we got good news that there was air in the fuel line causing the engine to not start. Our home is all fixed, everything is running good. Thanks to Leale's for putting lots of effort into it! Everyone there is super nice. Special thanks to John for keeping us posted on the status frequently. They love dogs too, so, take your dogs in, they are welcome there, even gets cookies. Highly recommend Leale's! read more

I took my RV in for repair of the generator and to look at all systems for a comprehensive inspection. $2200 later I departed and my generator failed to start. In addition, my furnace now no longer worked. I contacted Leale's and was passed around after disagreeing on having to pay an amount ( to be determined) to fix my generator properly( it needed a filter for the gas replaced) which was not changed while there, instead they changed the oil filter. It's an unscrupulous operation with second rate diagnosis/testing and maintenance, but I will say that management is very talented in ignoring customer complaints for non performance. Brought the RV in with the check engine light on and would not pass smog. The service tech outlined what they would do and made it known up front that it could take awhile. He said it could be several different things and they start with the cheapest part, replace it, then Retest. Mine was the first item, a locking gas cap. I bought one at O'Rileys and brought it with me as the RV had to be driven 60-80 miles to reset the computer. After I brought it to my regular smog placed and it passed. read more

Haven't driven our RV since Covad, we bought the RV in to Leale for the service. Mike is our service advisor, what a great guy! He went of his ways to save us money. Long story short, Mike is very smart and found out that the electric problems were caused by the RPM monitor the previous owner installed. The RV computer and electrical was actually working fine. I brought my motorhome in for electricity-related repairs in 2020, but the shop reported that the slide-out room was out of alignment, which I believe was functioning properly before. I authorized them to proceed with the repair, which ended up costing me 1k+ extra. However, after approximately 7,000 miles of usage over 2-3 years, the slide is now misaligned, making loud noises and displaying obvious gear misalignment. It has proven to be highly unreliable. read more

I've been going to Leale's for several years. It isn't close, and I have to pass by several other shops that could do the work on the way. But, the service was great, prices seemed fair, and they were very helpful. This was great, until... The rep I had developed a good working relationship with retired, and my subsequent experiences were sub par, unhelpful, and even rude. (Much like Peter F.'s experience) The person that replaced the guy I worked with even put down my older, but much loved motorhome as if they were too good to work on a vehicle that wasn't the latest greatest. I spent a lot of money there over the years, and didn't deserve to be treated that way. I also had the experience of being very confused about what the new rep was saying in terms of both pricing and how repairs on the RV work. I had the ominous "benefit" of being mid project when the transition happened, and listened to both the old rep and the new rep describe things completley differently. It went from, "no problem, we can do that, here is how much it will cost" to "well we don't really always do that, not sure if we can get it done, we might have to charge extra for it". Prior to Leale's going downhill, I would have given them 5 stars easily. The 2 stars rating reflects the current state of things as I experienced them. I don't know if working with a different rep would be better, or if it would just be easier to try my luck with one of those other, closer places. Unfortunately, I think Leale's has lost my business. The quality of the service here exceeded my expectations. My husband and I wanted some extra table space in our RV, so instead of using the one table in the center of our seating area, we bought two Lagun legs and had Leale's install them. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. They had to put some spacers between the mounting bracket and the cabinets. They cut the spacers to align with the mounting brackets and used wood so we can stain it to match the cabinets. Kory went out of his way to make sure the job was done right. I'm so pleased with the results! I will definitely come here again the next time I need any work done on our RV. read more

Have been using Leale's for our Class A maintenance, repair, bodywork, etc for eleven years now through two RVs so far. We originally found them from online recommendations and have always been happy with the quality of the work. They do charge full price, and it's usually not quick, but it's generally done right, and done with a pleasant customer service from everyone with whom we've interacted. Went to a large national RV chain (who's initials are C*W) a couple of times thinking we would save money but even the simplest thing would get messed up. Happy now to drive a little further, and pay a little more to have Leale's do it right. read more

I brought my brand new Mercedes Benz Revel 2021 to repair a strayed bullet hole on the body. It is the shop that came recommended highly by my insurance rep and also rated highly on Yelp with a boasting record or 57 years in business. Little did I know how bad they did the repair and returned my cleaned, new camper van beyond filthy!!! I called the man in charge and he could not care less. He simply told me that it was not their job to keep the van clean. When I complained to the rep from my insurance, he responded that I had to bring the van back in to have them clean for me!!! My van was dusted, all rugs washed and in tip top condition when I dropped it off trusting my beloved Mobile home to this company and they simply trashed it while doing a terrible job on repairing the bullet hole. The repair still showed the indentation from the bullet entering the van. Everyone who saw it told me it should not be showing any marks at all!!! I told the shop and my insurance rep that For their mistake and sloppy job, they need to pay for cleaners ti come clean my van. Why should I have to drive the van back, dropped it off and returned to pick it up when they're done. Their response was they did not offer cleaning service!!!! BAD PEOPLE. UNCARING SHOP that took advantage of ignorant women like me to charge a lot of money for bad work and showed no respect for their customers' pride possession. I would never want to have anything to do with this business even if it is the last one standing. And I would recommend everyone to stay away from such abusive businesses and not supporting such bad practice in how they treat their customers. read more

My 1973 GMC Motorhome needed an engine rebuild and my regular mechanic retired. The engine was still under warrantee but it had to be serviced in Paso Robles so I needed a vendor to extract, ship and re-install the engine. Jim and Wayne (the master mechanic) did a fantastic job of managing the entire process and the work was high quality given the constraints of a quirky old machine. It's getting harder to find a good mechanic who can work on older vehicles. I have been disappointed with so many mechanics over the years but I was really impressed with Wayne and his apprentices' work. They are my new go to place for major engine and RV specific work. read more

Prompt, professional, polite, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable of RVs. And Not just your standard RV but the high-end multi million dollar RVs. I drive a Tiffan phaeton, which is my baby and every time I come here they treat it with kit gloves, they analyze what the issue is, they fix it for a reasonable price and are very consistent in their service. I want to give a special shout out to Michael Borge their service writer who knows what he's talking about and not just making things up and Miguel their lead mechanic. I just can't say enough about both of them and how happy I am with their service and professionalism. I've been to more RV maintenance centers across the country than I care to mention, and a high percentage of them are just average, and to me average is just "cream of the crap".
