    No corrosion protection

I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Safety issues: Paid to fix carriage bolts, all they did was tighten, not even all the way because the bolt is bent hence why I took to get repaired? The nuts should sit flat on the washer and one thread able be protruding. $600 for a bumper, clearly they use untrained technicians. They didn't even apply corrosion protection and they didn't protect insulation so both sides are burned above the weld joints. The worst part is they didn't even tell me. I found it after I noticed the temporary tape they use to cover it was hanging. For all customers. Please inspect your repairs. This shops takes short cuts cheats safety items.

We brought our RV in for a complete inspection. The first thing I noticed was these guys are busy. A good indication this place is awesome . I wasn't wrong. These guys know their stuff!!! Cris was outstanding!! Excellent customer service. Alway Kept us informed on what was going on. We had a fridge problem. FIXED!!! We needed general maintenance done. No problem!!!!! We also had a bracket put on our CRV for towing. Excellent work!!! This will be our place for our RV from now on. To all the employees at Almaden RV. THANKS GUYS!!!!!

Charged $1195 but I guess they can mark it up all they want .

That was definitely a stroke of luck. He came out to my van and diagnosed the problem fairly quickly within about 20 minutes he got it to start working again. He tested it for about another 20 minutes and discovered there was another issue with the water heater leaking small amounts of water from the pressure valve. So that probably saved me a huge expense down the road if that water would have started corroding things. Lastly I had a problem with my cover on one of my ventilation fans and he was nice enough to photograph them for me so I could present them to the manufacturer for warranty repairs. He also told me that if I wanted to replace the part that was stuck on my water heater, I would just have to pay the mobile visit fee and the $18 for the part not the entire diagnostic and mobile visit all over again which was nice to hear that if I was to follow through with the replacement of that part, he wouldn't charge me double. Overall they were very nice and answered all my questions as they were repairing the RV water heater. I will definitely use them again for all my RV repair needs and I highly recommend their services.

He provided him with a link for some replacement parts to expect and showed my husband the easy fix. On our first visit we met April, who gave us plenty of space to look around without bothering us. When we were ready, she walked around with us, showing us options that met our criteria, and patiently answered all our questions. We weren't ready to buy, and when we communicated that, she understood. A couple of weeks later, after thinking through the different choices, we came back. April was by then on maternity leave, so we worked with Briana, who was equally friendly, knowledgable, and low-key. The transaction was smooth and painless. No last minute charges, no pressure to buy extended warranty (though one was available if we wanted it). We arranged for financing with our credit union, and that was fine, too (no pressure to take financing through the dealer). On the day we arrived for pick-up, they had cleaned and prepped the trailer, and Luis gave us a thorough walk through, making sure we understood how everything worked, from the smart hitch to the a/c to the slide-out & etc. We had been to another, big RV dealership months earlier, and were so traumatized by the high pressure sales tactics and endless (endless!!!) "follow-up" phone calls that we were paranoid about shopping again, but we had heard good things about Family RV, so we took a chance. Glad we did! I highly recommend this place; we would definitely buy there again.

The office folks continue to try and skew and bend the truth. Side maker lights work was never approved or requested which is documented in email. Damage happened twice on my rig at this shop. Once was covered and fixed, the second damage occurrence, they are denying responsibility. I also paid for all this work far in advance of it being done, in full, which was my mistake, clearly. We are now in small claims court unfortunately due to the company's inability to stand up and do what's right. I think this all started due to the employee we started with Ron who is no longer working there. Originally contacted Family RV to make a 7pin pig tail for our Lance truck camper. That pig tail wasn't done right or something happened to it, intermitent issues with turn signals and brake lights. Decided to take the entire rig in for service to get a new furnace and some electrical work done. New furnace is great, they did work I did not ask for or approve and charged me for it. The rig also was damaged while in their care, exterior was hit and punctured a pretty good hole in the front of the camper. They provided us with a free rental since we had planned to use our RV. That rental's slide out stopped operating at the RV park... They couldn't find the short for the electrical work I asked for... Short story 5800 dollars, a new furnace, repaired damage caused at their shop, the same short, and a new pig tail. We are now in small claims court to get some of the money back for the work that I didn't ask to be done and electrical work that was never identified or fixed. Will definitely not be going back here again.

I had a great experience working with Duane at California Camper Repair…read more I originally brought my Winnebago in for body work related to what I thought was collision damage. During the process, Duane identified a structural issue that I don't believe a typical RV service center would have caught -- the passenger-side wall was separating from the floor near the entry door due to a missing bracket tying the wall to the chassis. He designed and fabricated a custom heavy-duty bracket to properly secure it. The repair completely resolved the issue and even reduced a significant amount of noise in the coach. Duane takes a true problem-solving approach and is willing to go beyond standard repairs to get things done right. That's hard to find. Once parts were available, the turnaround was quick, and I also appreciated the flexibility -- he allowed us to take the rig and use it after part of the work was completed while waiting on the remaining parts. That made a big difference for us. Overall, very happy with the work and would definitely recommend California Camper Repair, especially for more complex or hard-to-diagnose issues.

And at the end, even without the warranty the cost was a lot less than I thought it would be. I was also impressed at how quickly they diagnosed the problem, pretty much the day I dropped it off which is unlike other RV repair shops in the area where it could take weeks before they even looked at it. They were attentive to my needs, communicated well, and I truly know they had my best interests at heart. The insurance wanted to total my camper and they adjusted their rates to prevent it from happening. They repaired it beautifully and in a timely manner as they knew I was living out of it. It had damage to three panels and needed a complete rebuild of the right back corner. They repaired it good as new! Unfortunately a few months later I hit a tree at night that was extending three feet into the road and I didn't see it as it was night time. They repaired it again beautifully, when a lot of places wouldn't have touched it as it was the curved part of the roof and the damage was extending into the interior. I'm so glad they fixed it because they once again saved my home. They helped me install my Starlink and minor repairs and upgrades, listening to my needs and desires perfectly. They advocated for me with my insurance when I filed extended warranty claims for a new inverter and new stove/oven when the insurance was trying to not cover it. They got it covered! They installed my AC unit and advocated for the best unit that lasted 8-10 hours off my camper battery alone not on shore power. From my research this AC unit is unique and fit my every needs! They found a huge problem with the refrigerator condensation hose being improperly installed and a slow leak to the wood interior that probably happened over the past 10 years. This caused a crack to form from rotten wood that when they took it apart, the wood was like sand disintegrating. I'm so lucky they found that or that camper would have easily fallen on my head when taking it off the truck. When I say this is a family business, I mean it's a family business and you as a customer are part of that family. I work as a nurse at night and I would come take my home (camper) in to get repairs and sleep on their very comfortable recliners. They understood and were so kind to let me do so. And if I snored they definitely didn't say anything ;) I can't say enough how wonderful my experience was. I knew very little going into this and came out learning a lot from Antonio and Victor. Professional, knowledgeable, experienced and compassionate, I highly recommend them and their work!
