Wow! I can't say enough about my experience there today. Klein went above and beyond to help me with my Honda CRV. As a walk in, there was no wait time and my car passed with ease. Total price was $55 as reflected on their website. In today's world, where customer service is a lost art, it's refreshing to see a business where they actually care about their customers. I will definitely use them for my future needs and I highly recommend them. read more

Price for smog is not what is listed on their website. I didn't have time to go elsewhere. Otherwise, the smog check was quick and efficient. read more

Amazing customer service today! Quick and painless! We didnt have an appointment, but they got in and out quickly!

I am very happy with McHenry smog center. I have an extremity busy schedule Monday through Sunday and when I called around on Saturday for a smog. This place was the only shop open until 5pm I think it took me longer to drive there and back to my house than it did get my service done. The receptions is very nice and informative with answering questions. This place picked me up for all future smog. read more

We have been using this company for a few years now. They are so nice knowledgeable and quick. We took a vehicle in there yesterday and I'm not joking. By the time we got to the office to sit down we were talking to a couple other clients maybe 6 or 7 minutes and they called our name said it was done. They always have a coupon and Modesto's coupon book as well making a visit extremely reasonable. We highly recommend this company. read more

Been going to the smog place my whole life since I could drive. Quick, Knowledgeable and efficient. Fair prices as well.

They are a Star Smog shop. They are very friendly. I had an issue and they didn't charge me a second fee for my second check. They were fast in and out in less than 15 minutes. However, it wasn't busy when I went. read more

Made an appointment & showed up a bit early but the owner/mechanic took me in right away. I went inside the little shop waiting area while he completed my SMOG check. The waiting area reminded me of when my dad had a shop, it had cute little touches of "family-owned" --- tons of pictures of pugs, lol. I am a fan of pugs :) It seems to be family run since there was a young man who helped me with my forms and cashed me out. He was quiet but polite - straight business. All in all, I was there for maybe 10 mins. tops. The only downside is that when I entered the address into my GPS, it brought me to the next street down for some reason. So just something to point out when following your GPS, turn sooner than you think you need to. read more

Walked into this business because it was close to where I live. I was just going to make an appointment. Since I had my DMV renewal with me, they said could do it right now and would take about 10 minutes. Fabulous....let's do that. In 10 minutes they were done, paid and got my paperwork and off I went. Really nice people that work there. Absolutely would recommend McHenry Smog to anyone and will be certain to go back in the future. read more

Outside of my normal foodie review but ahh I had to give a good review for this place. Their interior is decked out in PUGS. How freaking cute! I've never seen so many pug paintings, antiques and anything pug related. Like who doesn't love pugs lol The pricing was good. It came out to $45 for my 2018 Civic. Also, they're pretty fast. I came late in the evening after getting an oil change (after work really) and I was in and out in a span of less than 20 minutes with multiple cars in front of me. read more

McHenry Smog Center - Front f business. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Modesto, California

Friendly people and a speedy smog check. My new go-to place to have my vehicles smogged. Good price too.

Asian-ish looking tech pulled my car in. Proceeded to open the hood, looked around and then backed my car out and told me to go someplace else. He indicated that I had "too many" aftermarket parts. I tried to explain the car (1996 Saleen S-351) but he would have nothing to do with me and walked away and hid in the back. The shop seems to have no knowledge of "specialty" cars. This shop can not be recommended for any "specialty" cars. read more

So easy, so fast. I've been going there for years. Great price. Professional. I highly recommend

Super quick and easy!! Literally took less than 10 minutes ! Will definitely recommend

It was so easy to make an appointment online. I was quickly confirmed and I had an almost immediate appointment and estimate. Not only that, when I arrived everyone was kind, helpful, and efficient. Everything was explained and easy, even on a rainy day. The business is just a little back off of McHenry Avenue but there's plenty of parking and the sign for "Office" was clearly marked. They electronically transmit the information to the DMV so I could go home and register my vehicle online right away. Their reasonable fees are clearly marked so you know exactly how much it will be ahead of time. read more
