Didn't start up, after making several rest area stops all morning, she finally had just died. Called AAA and they were only available for a battery charge- closest repair shop luckily was 3 miles away. We called another place that was literally next door, and thought we were going there according to directions. We pull in and we were accommodated right away, we were so grateful, that we agreed to business with them. We waited maybe 30 min and ran diagnostics, it turned out it was just a battery issue. Thank goodness they had what we needed and done in minutes! We so appreciate it!! Brought my car here…read more My car failed smog...guy said bring it back after making "certain" repairs. Saying it would not pass "unless the car was driven a certain amount of miles". Didn't give an explanation of WHY the car had to be driven. So no, I shouldn't bring it back without a mechanics approval because it would fail. Took it somewhere else. The mechanic explained it wouldn't pass unless another mechanic looked at it prior to clear it and the mileage cleared because the computer had to reset. It needed a new temperature gauge. That could have been included in the conversation. Tried to make an extra quick couple bucks. Never will be back. And everyone I know in Tracy has been informed. Sad part is, I came here before and had no issues. Not sure who is running it now. Good luck.
