Shout out to the quick response to an unexpected hiccup in our trip from SoCal. At a gas station in Patterson,CA and had a system failure on the VW bug 2013. Yikes! Didn't start up, after making several rest area stops all morning, she finally had just died. Called AAA and they were only available for a battery charge- closest repair shop luckily was 3 miles away. We called another place that was literally next door, and thought we were going there according to directions. We pull in and we were accommodated right away, we were so grateful, that we agreed to business with them. We waited maybe 30 min and ran diagnostics, it turned out it was just a battery issue. Thank goodness they had what we needed and done in minutes! We so appreciate it!! We continued on our trip better than ever thanks to Highway 33 and Jason, and the pretty woman who was so pleasant with us!! The end;) read more

WAY overpriced for everything Good friendly service but that's it. Took my car in,told me it was the serpentine belt They changed it out Still had my issue with my car making a loud squeak. I took my vehicle elsewhere Come to find out the belt was not the issue at all. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to spend an arm and a leg on the wrong issue. read more

Shady business ethics Over priced....Do not go here unless you WANT to get OVERCHARGED.. They will charge you a 100 dollars to diagnose a flat tire.. This has to be one of the last places in America thats still running the diagnostic scam because once they diagnose you, THEY DONT ADD IT INTO THE REPAIR.....youll pay a CERTAIN 100$ over anyone else Price. YOU have been warned read more

This is the place to go! Needed an oil change and decided to give this place a shot. They took me with only 45 mins until closing without a problem! They were super nice and honest about everything. I had even mentioned an annoying squeak I've been hearing and they went out of their way to find the problem and fix it for me, no charge! Definitely recommend this place! read more

If I could give zero stars I WOULD. They overcharged me they didn't fix what was intended to be fixed it took a whole month. Once I picked up my car the ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON after a WHOLE MONTH of "being fixed". Made me buy parts that I DID NOT need, only to be buying from someone who SCAMMED ME $400. Stick to a dealership or a known shop for being reliable, honest and responsible. read more

I drove up from LA and I had a low oil pressure warning go off in my 2005 Audi late last night. The next morning, I spoke with Jason on the phone before I took my car there. He was very upfront about the pricing and from our discussion it seemed that he knew a bit about Audi the potential problems. I took my car there earlier today and Jason plugged in the computers and found that the car wasn't generating any error codes. He actually worked on the car for quite some time because an oil pressure warning is a potential big problem. Instead of trying to gouged me or get me to pay him for possibly helpful services, he was completely honest and gave me several possible scenarios. None of which actually benefited him because he wouldn't make a cent. Also, he didn't charge me for any diagnostic fee which I really appreciated. I trust the service here and I would absolutely go back. I would recommend Jason to anyone. If you get stuck off the 5, this should be your first phone call. read more

This shop is great. I brought in my vehicle for an inspection. It stopped suddenly an the check engine light was on. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem and were reasonably priced. read more

Very reasonably priced and most days I can take my car to them same day since its been having a lot of problems lately. I wish they were open on Saturdays. I've had my car in for numerous things such as 1. Front struts. They quoted me about $300 compared to most places I called that wanted twice that 2. Valve adjustment. They quoted me about $150 but I had the Timing belt and water pump replaced at the same time and was a big job $1,153 3. They charge $65/hour for diagnostic I've been happy with the service, they know what they are doing and do it right! Dennis and Jason are helpful, knowledgable and professional, priced well and ready to get working on your car most times at a moments notice. read more

Don't ever take your motorcycles to them. My motorcycle stoped running after I heard a sound like a backfire. On a Friday we were told that it would be $190. diagnostic fee and that the mechanic would not be able to get to the bike for about a week and that he would call us with the diagnosis. On Monday before 12:00 the manager called and said that the bike was ready to be picked up! We went to pick it up and they said that the battery had emploded and that they replaced the battery and bike starts right up. $427.77 total... They charged $190. for the diagnosis, $176.38 for the battery that they bought for $94.99 from O'Reily's up the street and $47.50 to remove and replace the battery...plus $13.89 tax. What a rip off. Plus the mechanic handed my husband the air cleaner cover and said he need to replace the cover and tighten different bolts on the motorcycle. Why didn't he do it?? Run the other way........; read more

Awesome service! The alternator went out on our SUV, brought it in to them on a Tuesday afternoon and they had it fixed and running by the next afternoon, only 24 hrs later. I was very impressed and happy with their quick honest service and work. Best prices in town for a mechanic! They have become our new mechanic in town. I highly recommend Highway 33 Automotive. We were 6 hours into a road trip when our truck broke down in Patterson late at night. As bad as a breakdown is, NOTHING is worse than a breakdown where you know nothing about trustworthy businesses and are at the mercy of whoever you go to. Upon a recommendation from the hotel staff, we contacted Highway 33 automotive. And I am sure glad we did! They were great in helping get us on our way (we were headed to a funeral in Los Angeles), and their honest opinion about the repairs and the extraordinary lengths they went through to fix the problem was invaluable. It turned out that the only real solution was to replace the engine (our 1997 F150 had 175K miles and I have to admit I was not fastidious about maintenance). Dennis and Jason were so helpful through the whole process - even picking me up from the train station when I came back down to pick it up. Their workmanship was spot on, their fees were fair, and their helpfulness was worth its weight in gold. The silver lining to having this major engine failure when and where it happened was that it got fixed right and for a fair price. If only Highway 33 Auto was closer to us - they would be our repair shop for life! Thanks again to Jason and Dennis read more

Beware!!! Do not bring your car here!!! First of all, work is half ass and they charge an extra 3% for card.. hmmmmm only cash..Bad business... never again!!! read more

Excellent mechanic work AND customer service. The mechanics do very good work and keep you in the loop every step of the way, keeping communication open and clearly communicating and explaining everything with you. I have had friends tow cars from hours away to get them repaired here. Reasonably priced too! read more

Jason at Hwy 33 is a godsend! No other mechanics would help us and he even waited two hours after the shop was closed to fix our car so we could get back on the road again. Probably the most educated mechanic Ive dealt with, very professional, reasonable, and nice. I wish he was my neighborhood mechanic, but I don't live in Patterson, unfortunately. Thank you so much Jason! read more

Driving from San Fran to LA, broke down on I-5 and had my car towed here. Super professional service. Honest estimates on time and cost. Jason and everyone on this team is knowledgeable, dedicated. They were willing to work overtime to get the job done. Excellent service. I hope I never have to come back but if I do find myself with a mechanical failure anywhere near here, I wouldn't hesitate to bring my ride. Six stars. read more

I came to Highway 33 last week on my way to Flagstaff because my engine light popped on. Despite being the only mechanic there, Jason checked out my car right away, solved the problem and sent me on my way, assuring me my car was fine. He was right and I made it home safely. Highly recommend this place!!! read more

Denise took absolute advantage of us. We went in to have our car worked on to be able to pass smog. After we approved $1100 of work because he guaranteed it would pass, we got a call after the work was done that something else could potentially cause the smog to fail and would cost an additional $600. He suggested run the car and attempt the smog and if it didnt pass we'd have to have the work done. Well we ran the car for the day then took it to be smogged and it didn't pass. Upon showing the smog tech what work was done, he informed us most of the work done by Denise was unnessary for the smog check and the problem Denise stated after we approved and paid the $1100 was what was wrong. The tech also told us the quote Denise gave us for the additional work was over triple what it would actually cost to have it fixed. All in all it sucks to be taken advantage of so badly especially since we not only gave up our family vacation to fix the car but now have to come up with additional funds to still get the car fixed to pass. I would not suggust going here at all, especially if you have np knowledge of cars amd plan to trust an expert to be honest with you, Denise is not that guy. read more
