I agree with Jon L's review. My husband takes all his vehicles here to be serviced. They are extremely busy and sometimes not finished by the end of "OUR" day. But lo and behold 9pm in the evening and here comes Felipe' delivering our vehicle to our residence. The service is amazing and the workmanship is top notch! Spoke with Felipe who told me if I drop off rotors to be resurfaced at 5:15pm, that they would be ready by 9 the next morning. Showed up at 9:15am the next morning and the rotors were still sitting In the same place I put them when I dropped them off. Very poor to disregard a statement you made to a customer. They seem to be busy and work late...so they must be in demand. But if you're looking for the type of time schedule you would get from a more organized auto shop, don't go here. We were SO lucky to find this place! We were traveling and our thermostat housing unit cracked and our vehicle was over heating, we had been looking for hours for the part in little towns off Hwy 5 and came to the auto zone across the street from this shop. The owner came over and looked at our problem and stopped what he was doing to repair it right away. And gave us an amazing price. We were in and out in about 30 minutes and back on the road. This place is the classic "looks can be deceiving/don't judge a book by its cover" type auto repair shop. Sure, both the outside and inside of the business look dirty, dingy, dumpy, greasy, grimy and so on. With all that said...yes it still deserves 5 stars, and here's the reason: the service. I needed a timing belt replaced, and on my particular model of car, this means a partial engine removal. My wife took the car to the cleaner, more organized repair shop on the other side of town and received a quote of $712, primarily due to how labor intensive the job is. She then took the car to Newman's Auto Repair & Mufflers and received a quote of...drum roll please...$318. As reluctant as I was at the too good to be true price, she had them proceed to do the work. It took them 4 days to complete the work, due to the fact that I'm not their only customer, but with the substantial price difference between the 2 shops, I was more than willing to be patient. When I went to pick up my car, I was preparing to hear an increase in the price beyond what was quoted, however, $318 quoted, $318 paid. Pedro and his crew did a FANTASTIC job. My car runs great, and I could not be happier. read more

Newman Auto Repair is by far one of the best auto repair shops I have encountered. The quality of their work is excellent and done in a timely manner. They do not over charge and certainly don't charge you for work that doesn't need to be done. Most impressive however, is their customer service. They worked well beyond 5:00 to finish my repairs and even delivered my car to my home when they were finished, as I had no other means of picking it up. Excellent auto repair and at very reasonable prices. This place is always buried in work, that's a good indication of my first sentence. If you are a regular customer Felipe will find room for you when something comes up and you need it fixed pronto. After 4 years of giving them all my business I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Yeah, strong compliments, but I wouldn't put them out if it wasn't well deserved. The place looks like a dump but the mechanics here know what they are doing.
