The crew did a fantastic job with taking care of a River Birch in our backyard, they were great w communication, amazing work and a fantastic price. Thank you all!

Before, during, and after the two trees were removed. I was very happy with their service!

We had a great experience with Monkey Tree Service! We called about a large dead oak and a tall pine that were close to our house. With hurricane season coming we were very nervous, especially when one of the large branches broke off and nicked the back porch. We called several local businesses. Monkey Tree responded right away, and got us in within the same week! When they first visited for the quote, they did an assessment of all the trees around the house. They gave us a great quote and we feel confident our house will be safe during hurricane season! Would definitely use their services again in the future!

Large pine between my house and neighbor's - climber cutting top off. Taken down in two cuts! Amazing!

I would not recommend working with Leaf & Limb…read more They change appointments multiple times, making it almost impossible for homeowners to anticipate their arrival and then to directly communicate with the arborists on site. We have previously worked with Leaf & Limb which should have past documentation about how we are conservative in cutting our dogwood. But now, our dogwood has been irreparably changed in shape. You cannot glue cut tree limbs. I cannot express how heartbroken I am that our beloved tree has been trimmed in a way that did not at all reflect our desires. I would not recommend working with Leaf & Limb.

Absolutely terrible business. Unethical…read more I called them for an expert opinion on saving a tree damaged during construction in the area. They sold me their proprietary soil enrichment to be delivered quarterly, after assurances that the tree had a 70-80% chance of being saved. After the first treatment I noticed downed limbs, more issues and damage to my lawn. I contacted the arborist helping me, but he never responded. Then, they came out to do the second treatment unscheduled. I contacted them again to request further assistance because of the issues I was having but they continuous failed to respond. Then a storm came through the area and several branches came down, damaging mine and my neighbor's houses. I contacted their agent and he told me the tree was dead and that he was canceling the rest of the contract--no apology or accountability at all. He didn't even speak with me directly or return my follow up calls. I was forced to have the tree removed on an emergency basis and resod my lawn, costing me thousands of dollars. I spoke with at least six other tree companies to get quotes for the tree removal (leaf and limb of course failing to help) and they all told me the tree was long dead and it was fortunate that it hadn't fallen completely on my home or hurt someone. In their opinion it was negligent and potentially fraudulent to sell me on a chance it could be saved. Leaf and limb then sent me a bill for the two prior services and about a third. I told them that I wouldn't pay for the services that had put me in this position and reminded them they had canceled the contract without speaking with me. All of a sudden they were responsive, and they sued me for ~$200 for the two services. I offered to pay half as a goodwill gesture but they refused. In court, they leaned on the fine print disclaimer that they can't guarantee outcomes. I suppose even though those terms aren't negotiable that it was shame on me, and I should have known better. so now I'm leaving this long detailed review so others can learn from my mistake--they can do a terrible job that a majority of other companies think is negligent and will cost you tons, but then hide behind that disclaimer!! Buyer beware--in my opinion these guys are totally shady.

I recently contacted North Raleigh Tree Service to have several very large Oak & Pine trees…read moreremoved. To say this team is professional would be an understatement! Watching them remove trees was like looking at Swiss watch, every move planned and precisely executed. The crane operator worked with such precision that about half the development came out to watch. They were so impressed with the team's performance that 3 of them had trees removed before the crew left the area and several others got estimates for future tree work. They are professional and the pricing was very fair, all work was completed and the cleanup was outstanding. If you need tree work give them a call, you won't be disappointed.

The primary point of contention with them is regarding damage to my concrete driveway from their…read morecrane. I and two other neighbors hired them together to remove trees from our 3 yards. They told me they would use a neighbor's 2 driveways to park the crane, that they should be able to reach my trees from there. They never once spoke with me about backing crane down my driveway. (I would not have hired them had I been aware they were going to use my driveway, and would have hired someone to just climb and lower the trees in sections instead.) On the day of job, half way done with the work on three yards, they pulled crane down my driveway unannounced. They did not use mats to protect the concrete (already cracked in upper area) while backing down to house. Then they parked crane a yard from garage. Weight bearing supports were placed inches from concrete side steps less than a yard from the house and foundation. This is VERY irresponsible and unprofessional. Who just pulls a crane down someone's driveway without discussion in advance to highlight possible risks and simply to get permission!? As a result I have significant damage to my driveway over several areas, including close to the house, which will require expensive concrete repairs. Note: they drove their heavy Bobcat loaded with huge limbs up and down the unprotected driveway as well. They also trimmed 2 hardwood trees incorrectly, not as agreed. They removed far too many limbs from a maple, all on wrong side of tree. I had asked them to cut exactly ONE limb, the one hanging over roof. They did the opposite. And they didn't cut limbs hanging over roof on a poplar tree, which had been in our agreement. They did come back and remove the poplar limbs a few days later. (Side note- they also dragged many heavy limbs through flowerbed areas instead of the nearby driveway, damaging flowers and eroding the soil.) 3- After initially offering a token discount, which seemed like an admission of responsibility, they later refused to reduce price at all. They tried to make it seem like they did me a favor by coming back. Wrong--they came back to finish the incomplete job. And by that time I was aware of how badly their crane had damaged the driveway. Yet, they accepted no responsibility for this, and no reduction in price to offset my future repair expenses.. Toni S.
