The best in town! I reached out to Fredin about removing some trees on my lot that were blocking the sunlight. Within two days of contacting him, he was out for a consultation and gave me an estimate on the spot. He was the most responsive and came in with the most competitive price, so I decided to go with him and four days later he was there with his crew removing 10+ trees on my lot. I had just moved into a heavily wooded lot that was suffering from a lack of sunlight, so we cleared out quite a bit of brush and took down several trees to let in more light. He also examined the rest of the trees on my lot and let me know which ones needed to come down for safety reasons, etc. Jobs like this can be intimidating, but it was an absolutely seamless process from start to finish. 1) Great value: Came in slightly lower than my second lowest quote, and 25% below two others. 2) Excellent communication: Followups to provide insurance certificates, confirm timing etc. 3) Terrific work: Tree removal is tree removal (pretty cool to watch, but so long as nothing goes wrong, there's only so much to be said). But Fredin and his team did a wonderful job on stump grinding and clean-up after. 4) Above and beyond: While I'd only hired Fredin to remove a large dying tree near my house, when that was a wrap he threw in trimming of trees along the driveway, which I truly appreciated (and made for a 10+ hour day for him and team). This contractor didn't come properly equipped for a tree trimming job this morning and misrepresented his equipment capabilities. When pricing the work, I asked Mr. Reyes if he had a bucket truck to trim a large cypress in the yard and he replied he did. He showed up with only some tall ladders which were not sufficient to do the entire job as agreed previously. He contested that we were looking for much less work to be done, which was not the case. His crew tried to make adjustments and ended up doing passable work, but not what we thought we were paying for. I would recommend shopping for other tree contractors unless your work is very basic. read more
