I hired Timberman Tree Service for 1) tree trimming, and 2) gutter cleaning. I received quotes for both. Appointments were scheduled for both. But both services we not completed, even after numerous reschedulings. Note for 2 years, I used this company to clean my gutters. They have done a GREAT JOB, historically! This year was a different matter. Very disappointed. And because they did not complete the gutter cleaning as scheduled, I lost a significant part of my rental lease security deposit. The tree removal was done well. However, when grinding the stump, they damaged the wooden fence that is next to where the tree stood. At the time of the tree removal, the crew manager (I think his name was Carlos) wanted to argue about the fence damage. When I contacted the main office, Esther said they would have a professional repair the fence but backed out on that after the crew manager (who is her husband) said, according to Esther, that he "wasn't going to pay $500 to have someone else repair the fence". I agreed that it was fine if the company wanted to make the repair which they eventually did. I would not hire them again. read more

These guys were amazing! They came out on an extremely hot day straight from another project. They had to bring down a very tall big pine tree in my yard and had to do it all by dropping everything from one side of the tree. My neighbors power and cable lines ran directly beside the tree on one side. They did everything with such precision the power and cable lines were completely unscathed. They had it down and everything cleaned up in no time. You would never know they were there or that there was ever a pine tree there. The price was unbeatable! Highly recommend this crew. read more

Called on Wednesday for a downed tree that fell from my property onto the neighbors yard. Esther was very nice over the phone and told me her scheduler would call to set up a free, no obligation quote. Literally less than 5 mins later the scheduler called and got us set up for a visit on Friday at 7am. I was also sent an email with a photo and insurance details for Carlos (the business owner and tree removal specialist). Carlos was right on time at 7:00am on Friday and by 9:00am the fallen tree was gone and some limbs were cleaned up. In addition, I asked him to remove a tree in my backyard that was a little unsightly and blocking a small Japanese Maple. I forgot to get before and after photos for that but it was a job well done! She was amazing - very professional, polite, working with me to schedule a visit for an estimate. Despite being 45 miles away, Carlos was here the next day to survey the job and give me some options. We reached agreement on price very quickly. The same day I received a detailed email quote, along with a copy of the company's insurance bond. The interactions felt very professional and smooth, as if designed to do the utmost to make me comfortable with my decision. The team gave me 8am-9am for the arrival window, and they were here and ready to work at 7:30am, again despite being 45 miles away. The team fanned out and immediately began working. Although it was clear that Carlos was in charge, his experienced crew knew their work and it was nice to see a group working together in such a familiar and confident manner. Bottom line: all trees removed with no damage to the lawn, power lines, and neighbor's property. All limbs either chipped or removed from property. I had gotten 4 different quotes and his was not the lowest - BUT - I chose him because he worked with me on the price and he was the only one to let me know that they had plywood to put down to protect my grass. He said it was important to him that my things were cared for and not messed up. They also were the only company to send me their certificate of insurance upon arrival for the quote. I can't leave a review on service quality because this company stood us up twice, so this review is solely about their commitment and follow through. They were very responsive and provided plenty of detail when I first reached out, and based on their reviews I thought this was the company we'd go with. We made an appointment for someone to come give me an estimate the next day, but they never showed or let me know they weren't coming. It wasn't until I reached out later that they responded immediately and apologized for forgetting to tell me they got behind in their schedule. I reached out to Timberman Tree service through Yelp and they replied immediately. I wanted 3 trees removed. They offered to come by and do a free no obligation estimate. They sent me a picture of the gentleman who was coming along with their license and insurance info. Carlos ( I believe the owner) was at my house on time the next day. He looked around and gave me what I believe to be an incredible quote on removing 11 big trees. He didn't push the extra trees. I had let him know I was starting with the 3 but wanted certain others removed. He gave me a quote of 2500 for 11 trees that he was going to have to climb because of a fence and pool in my yard. That price included clean up and he even removed some brush I had in my yard prior to his work. It did not include stump grinding but I wasn't in need or want of that. He showed up with several others , I was already at work and my husband was just leaving for work. He showed up at 8. At 11:30 he called me asking if anyone was home because they were almost done. I was shocked and a bit skeptical as to how. I left work early so I could pay him. He takes no money up front and only until your fully satisfied. I got home and we walked the back yard and I was so pleased. He cut the trees very low to the ground as he stated. Removed the 11 trees as stated , cleaned up and removed the brush he said he would. It was a fantastic job. I was so impressed. I received other quotes of 3500-4500 for only the three trees. I would highly recommend and would've given 10 stars if I could. I have a property with a lot of large trees that were neglected for ages by the previous owner of my home. So I had a lot of large branches needing to be limbed in tight spaces, often with nice landscaping below. I've had trees trimmed in the past where the contractor just dropped large limbs onto my newly planted plants so I was concerned about that this time.
