If you want an amazing cup of coffee in a modern style area with great service, Monk is the place to go. They deserve nothing less than 5 stars. The workers are all so kind; it's so fun getting to chat at the counter with these baristas and be in a motivating environment. Now for the coffee itself... amazing. The lattes depend on the barista, like normal, but the coffee beans are delightful. I've experienced more of a sweeter side so I recommend no flavor if you like it more bitter. However, the flavor is honestly so consistent and has great touches that are beautifully blended together. The coffee beans are from places like Guatemala and other Central American locations, and they are nothing less that diverse and amazing. They also have so many different options. A great one is their iced tea, which comes with free refills. Great idea for studying, especially in an environment like that. My overall favorite, however, is their Chai. One of the best Chai's near Denver. I haven't been able to beat it up yet. I always order a spicy chai. Has a great mix of sweet and spicy. I never fail to be amazed by this drink. Their food comes from Share Good Foods, an amazing company started by a local with a passion for food and coffee shops. I always love finding coffee shops that use Share Good Foods. It shows a sense of community and appreciation for local businesses. Not only this, but Share Good Foods is amazing! Great idea for a nice snack with your coffee. The community is probably my favorite part, though. One of the baristas is part of the reason we come in so frequently. She always has a smile on her face, is so fun to talk to, and makes amazing lattes. But I do have to say, I have never met a bad barista there. They are all so uplifting and fun to be around. I always appreciate a coffee shop or any eatery with nice design elements and a calm atmosphere, if this sounds like your cup of tea as well the Monk & Mongoose Gourmet Coffee s might be your place. This coffee shop is one of a kind, but what makes it so unique? This space is very modern and probably attracts a lot of younger people but a large, open, well lit, beautifully designed space with plenty of different seating areas makes the atmosphere more calm and relaxing. There is also large garage doors that can turn the shop into a wide open space for the hotter days. This place doesn't have an overwhelming amount of foot traffic like say, a Starbucks. This is a place where you can spend an hour or more. I decided to go with the Chai Latte (4.00) even though the shop is known for their gourmet brewed coffee. The latte was still a unique blend of chai spice and cream. I had sprinkled raw sugar on top as well, highly recommend this choice even if I burned my tongue a few times from being impatient. Although I did not partake in the treats they offer as well, the pastries resting on the counter looked delicious. If you're looking for a good place to get a coffee, get some work done, or meet a friend to catch up I highly recommend the Monk & Mongoose Gourmet Coffee shop. read more

Only writing a second review because I normally do not get latte's when I go to a third wave coffee shop. Call me a purist. I was intrigued to try their caramel latte and although I will continue to order pour overs, this was a fantastic treat. I was debating between caramel and vanilla, as they make their vanilla in house, but landed on the caramel which they get from hellie mae's here locally. Pure caramel was a great addition to my morning. Not overpoweringly sweet, but very rich! Thanks again Monk & Mongoose. You never let me down read more

I want to give a 5 star because I love their coffee, but every time I go in there the employees behind the counter were very (unfriendly) No smiles or friendliness. Very cold. Kind of weird for a coffee shop. Most coffee shops the employees are chipper, but here they are not welcoming. Still love the coffee but they would do much better if they stepped up the friendliness, as a paying customer just some advice that may help their business. Everybody likes a smile. The other thing that would be good is if they offered larger sizes lattes. It is so small for the price you pay. read more

Walked in and didn't exactly receive a warm greeting but after ordering my drink the owner came and talked to me and my friend for a good couple minutes very nice guy. Coffee was very good. Well pulled espresso shots and very fresh taste. Enjoyed the feel too. Very cozy and modern. I will be back again! read more

I only gave it 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. NEVER will go back - EVER. WE HAD RESERVED THE PRIVATE ROOM FROM 12:30 - 4:30 on Monday March 5. I booked with Emily on 2/21, confirmed with Claudia on 2/26 and confirmed the day of with Lin (Lis). Apparently, a woman booked the same room online over the weekend. Our meeting was in session when the other woman showed up. To say that Rylie, the manager in charge, handled the situation poorly, is being kind. Rylie allowed discussions to be held in front of customers. After waiting for Rylie to make several calls to handle the situation, she handed me the phone, didn't make any type of introduction, and walked away. The person on the phone was the owner's wife, Amy (possibly Emily, bad connection). The owner, was snowboarding and unavailable. Amy asked me to describe the situation, which I did, and by the end of the conversation said she would call the other party, and that we could have the room. I even went so far as to summarize my understanding of what she said to be sure we were clear. She confirmed. As I was returning the phone to Rylie, she, in front of customers, announced to me that she didn't appreciate how I treated her. I said, "Rylie, I'm going to stop you right there because I have MY list of what I don't appreciate - but the problem has been resolved and I'm going to stop you before you say something that makes it worse. I left. About an hour later the 4 people in my group came walking through our office door. The woman who had made the online reservation had called the police and angrily disrupted our meeting. Yes, called the police! We booked once and confirmed twice (names and dates provided) and that was how we were treated and the situation so BEYOND POORLY handled by Monk & Mongoose. We will be contacting Better Business and filing a complaint, spreading on our social media, as well as contacting the local community newspaper. Monk & Mongoose - Never Again. read more

I drive 4 miles out of Centennial south to try this place for third wave espresso. It is a nice place, wonderful staff, and the espresso from Papa New Guinea was tasty. I went back the next day for a second time and experienced the same great service, food, and 3rd wave coffee beverage. read more

The coffee and service are top notch. I'll keep coming back for the utterly perfect cappuccinos. The layout and atmosphere spares nothing for comfort and relaxation. My only critique is the pricing which is noticeably higher than other shops with similar quality (there are very few). I mention this because other people have made comments to me about this and I really want to see the place be successful. $6.50+ for a latte with adequate 4 shots is a lot. read more

Sleek and clean atmosphere. Would be a good spot to hang out an work for a few hours, it was really quiet. Also the conference room for rent makes a great meeting spot...not sure of the terms because I didn't ask. My drink was a little on the lukewarm side, thus the missing star. They've only been open like a day so I'll chalk that up to a barista-in-training but I would recommend asking for extra hot in case that's their standard.
