I frequented this fine establishment after first driving past it and seeing it one day. i had to come check Yelp before i went, and upon reading the first review, I decided i'd better go give it a try. I went in on a Wed. for lunch, and was seated right away, went to the Mongolian bar and was pleased to see such a great assortment of items. the guys at the grill were really taking care of business. i watched as one of the guys stirring the food around on th grill (i think it was the Hispanic fellow from the first review) each time he'd scoop the food from the grill on to the plate, he'd do a little move where he'd throw the plate up in the air spinning it, then upon catching it he'd scoop the whole mound of food on to the plate with a single motion. i found my self hoping that he would be the one that took my food off the grill and was excited when he did his signature move and handed me my plate. The waiting staff was a little slow, but didn't really take away from my visit cause all i ordered was water, and i was really into the food. (Plus my tip had already gone into the jar belonging to my plate spinning amigo). i sat there waiting for about 5 minutes for them to bring me my check, and finally just walked up to the front desk to pay, the lady shuffled through some tickets and gave me my total ($6.75) and i was on my merry way with a belly full of noodles. In the context of Mongolian BBQ's- this place is a solid 5 stars. Granted I wouldn't equate this to the best meal I've ever had, but for what it is (tacky restaurant in a cheesy strip mall location) it's gold. I really really LOVE the buffet style meal preparation, and this is coming from someone who loathes any and all buffets. But this isn't your family infested cheeseburger sliders and fries type of deal. The meat/fish was...so-so looking, but tasted fine and every other vegetable and noodle was visibly fresh. I love that you get to watch your food get made. (Everyone has mentioned the small plate tricks, so there's no need to elaborate) The best part about this place is you decide exactly what it is you want. I appreciated the all you can eat styling, because the best part of this place? It's CHEAP. I went back for seconds and my friend went back for fourths. We had fried rice, egg rolls, and all our buffet food for only $22.50. A lot of people had bad experiences with the service, but I didn't. Yes it was very brief, and sometimes a bit confusing, however I didn't expect much given the premise of the restaurant and how it works. Fried rice and egg rolls are edible, but really don't even compare to the greatness of that buffet. Horrible service! Waited almost 15 minutes for the waitress to come take our order. We just missed the lunch hour by ten minutes so we decided to order off the menu. Husband ordered General Tso chicken. I chose to go with the all you can eat Mongolian grill. They had a good selection to choose from. The grilled food was ok. I did find bits of food from others who was being cooked near mine. Also, it was a bit overcooked, on the verge of burnt on some of it. My husbands General tso was not very good. Hands-down this is the best Mongolian barbecue in the state of Utah! My husband and I used to live not far from this location. We moved back down to Salt Lake County about four years ago and to this day we still drive up when we are craving Mongolian. Even if we are passing through for an event up north, we always make sure to team it up with a visit to Mongolian Grill! I wish we lived closer so we could still have our weekly visit! The owners still know us by name. I can't say one bad thing about this place. Charlie's Chows' & HuHot can't hold a candle to this place. Don't waste your time, appetite or money going to some Chinese buffet hoping they have good Mongolian. They won't! Trust me, my husband and I have tried. love this place but I am a fan of asian food :) .. it is your typical mongolian bbq where you load up your bowl and they cook your food. But the staff that cooks your food is actually very nice. And another plus is they give you fried rice No really fried rice that taste good. I was first introduced to Mongolian Grill about 5 months ago, but I've been semi- curious about it for at least a year now. I hadn't ever been to a frozen meat buffet style joint before, but I was pleasantly surprised. When I walked in, I expected it to be just another cheap Asian joint. And, though it was, it exceeded my expectations. My brother explained to me how things work; you just I up to the buffet counter, pick your meat, pick your veggies and pick your sauces. I normally have my wife order Asian meals for me because... Well, I guess you could just say that, for the most part, I think most of it tastes the same. So I how up to the counter, and just slip everything that looks good on my plate. Chicken, pork, onions, water chestnuts, broccoli... You know, the usual Asian routine. Then, I get to the sauce part and am completely lost! Until, that is, I'm informed about the recommendations they have posted on the wall right next to me. They have three different recommended combinations of sauces and, in the few ones I've been there since, I've tried all of them and they're all good. Particularly the third one. Right after the sauces, our make an about-face and hand your plate (or plates) o the cook directly behind you. (this is where my complaint is. That area gets way too crowded if there's more than 2 people getting food.) Since it's cooked right in front of you, there's not much of a wait. You sit down and get to enjoy your food. Which is... Enjoyable. I give this joint 4/5 stars because it surprised me. And I do recommend it. Also, you may want to note that Ben though there is a television on and running in the restaurant, I've never seen anything but Nickelodeon shows playing on it. The owner/worker's children must be the ones always there watching it. Not too big of a distraction.. I'm not sure if it was that we arrived an hour before they closed or if they are always in a hurry, but in either case, the taste of burned food in every bite is not something I look forward to in my Mongolian food. It's not appetizing when you are waiting for your food to be cooked and seeing that not only my food but every plate on the grill is being burned. Not being a cook myself I can tell when food is burning. After the cook was done he literally ran out the door. We did not come minutes before closing so there is no excuse why he should've been in a rush cooking our food. Avoid this place if you enjoy the taste of food and not the delicious taste of burned food. Egg rolls were good though. read more

I personally enjoyed my time here. Had 2 meat plates of lamb with jalepenos and garlic sauce. Our table made a plate with chicken and found two fragments of bone, which ruined it for her. Not a fan of this place due to that. Be careful if eating the chicken. This is my favorite Mongolian BBQ because they offer a lot more than what you can get at a Chinese restaurant with a Mongolian BBQ inside. What I really appreciate is that your bbq comes with choice of soup and an egg roll. The guys working the bbq are also pretty fun to watch and will try to entertain. Try not to use a ton of noodles in your bbq. It's tempting but really just a filler. Fill up on the meats and veggies! read more

Reminds me of Fire & Ice in Boston. You pick your meats, veggies, noodles, and such and bring the bowl to the "chefs" to cook your food for you. Really simple process. Service was okay. All you can eat, but only took me two or three bowls to be full. read more

We went for the first time not too long ago and I thought the food was pretty good. The guy at the grill was great, and the servers were good. Because it was our first time we didn't know what to expect, there were no menu's and we didn't know if we were supposed to just get up and get started or wait for further instructions. There were plenty of places to sit here but they put us at a table with a husband and wife and a baby that was grand most of the time and there was no separation between us. I've been to Mongolian grill quite a few times in other locations, each time enjoying my visit. My first time going to this location I wasn't a huge fan with how the dish came out. I like to use teriyaki sauce and when I used it here the flavor didn't come across in my dish. My husband really enjoyed his dish so I wanted to try it out again. This time I added more and also added some in during the cooking process. Still the flavor wasn't there. I believe it is because the teriyaki sauce at this location is a bit more runny then I've seen in other places. It may be more soy based. Either way, two times I've tried the create your own bowl and wasn't satisfied. I give it a three star rating because the cook was very helpful, the restaurant was clean, and my husband enjoyed his food. This place is a coin toss in my eyes. read more

If i could give a 0 star review I would. For your own safety DO NOT EAT HERE! I can deal with some sketchy kitchens if the food is good. This was not tasty or safe. VERY UNSANITARY! Watched the busboy scrape raw meat and waste from the "line" into a metal bowl, throw it away in the trash and then refil food for the line in the same unwashed bowl. Food was NOT cooked (chicken and pork) thoroughly and obvious they are not concerned about cross contamination at all. If I dont get food positioning from eating here I will be shocked. Not to mention the food itself tasted gross, cheap and sauces were all storebought from the bottle. Service was not good and the whole restaurant seemed confused and poorly designed.
