Mom's Kitchen seemed to be one of the local's favorite breakfast diners in the area. If you aren't bothered by high foot traffic, packed dining area, loud noise, but decent food, this is the spot for you. First thought that came to my mind upon entering the restaurant was organized chaos. It was busy and chaotic but everyone there seemed to know exactly what needed to be done to tend to each and every customer. We were seated after a few minutes of wait time. The black coffee was okay. The food was okay, little too greasy for our tastes, but it was served while hot. Our server Michelle was very patient with her coworkers and customers which enhanced our dining experience. Food 3/5. Ambiance 3/5. Service by Michelle 4/5. The reason why I am giving this place 2/5 stars is because I want others to be aware of how rude service by an employee named Amanda can affect the restaurant's image. Server named Amanda who works there was very rude in how she carried herself, yelling at her coworkers with attitude, not an ounce of positivity, and shaking her head at customers while passing by tight space with food in her hands. She is one reason we won't be returning here, and we definitely don't recommend this place to anyone. We believe hospitality is one of the reasons why people visit mom and pop restaurants and become regulars there over other major chain restaurants. It was embarrassing for me to have taken someone here who was visiting from out of the country because of decent reviews, only to have her experience Amanda's rudeness and unprofessionalism. *Please learn to respect your customers and restrain your dislike for people when you are clocked in Amanda. I know this place has been around for 100 years but my husband and I recently just discovered how good it actually is. Whether you come for breakfast lunch or dinner it's always packed and it's always good. It's a cute little restaurant and reminds me of being at my grandmother's house. My favorite thing to get are their chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, their chicken Caesar salad salad for lunch and the turkey for dinner. Although I did have stuffed shells that weren't bad. They always have a great selection of soups and fresh made pie. Parking is kind of a pain since it's right off lake worth rd but it's not the worst Ive ever seen read more

If you are looking for a no frills, classic country diner then you need to check out Mom's. Seating is cozy, service is friendly, and food is hearty. Come early or you'll be waiting in the long line that's always outside. Their country fried steak is a solid option, pancakes are delicious and huuuge, and if you have room order one of their pies. 10-10-25. What a fantastic spot. I was staying at a friend's house for a few days and one of his neighbors recommended this spot. Went there with 4 others and they all ordered a variation of steak and eggs while I ordered the pork chops and eggs. All the breakfasts come with home fries or grits and your choice of bread. On our waitress Amanda's recommendation, we also ordered a stack of pancakes which she said was one of their "signature" items, which were a little different than your average pancakes because they were made with a sweet cream batter. She wasn't lying ....... they were awesome. They have some good looking lunch and dinner selections as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It's not a big place and it seemed like it's always crowded (which is an awesome sign you're getting good food with fast turnover). The wait was very reasonable.....only 15 minutes on a Saturday morning. They have quite a selection of baked items, so we felt the need to also order a few pieces of assorted pies to go. The food was really good, the prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent......all in a comfortable, friendly setting which made for a very pleasant dining experience. If you are looking for that home cooked, all vintage style restaurant, this is the place! Open since 1962, they are mom's style cooking with so many great options on the menu. Also, be sure to check out all the daily specials and the group of dessert on the chalkboard. We decided to go with breakfast for lunch and had the Italian omelet with well-done hashbrowns and an English muffin. My friend had the Challah French toast with bacon and 2 eggs. There was plenty of good home cooked food, and we shared. The omelet was perfectly made (could have been a little larger), but delicious Hadhbrown cooked the way I liked it. The French toast was plentiful, and the bacon was crispy. Jo-jo, our server, was beyond sweet, and she made sure that my ice tea was full at all times. The food here was good. It felt like "comfort food" type breakfast that someone made at their house. Nothing special really stands out w the food and flavor. The service during our first time was actually on point. The people there were very nice, welcoming and attentive. Ambiance is okay. It's a very small space so when it's busy it's kinda overwhelming w the close crowds. The building itself is a bit older too so cleanliness is a little not up to par for myself (this last bullet is personal opinion) I would go back probably on a non weekend/busy day. I went to Mom's Kitchen based on the reviews and I can truly say that nothing about the restaurant disappointed. The food and the service were both good. It is not a large place and the three of us had to wait to get a table. I had the roast turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy. The only items I would have added was cranberry sauce and a dinner roll with butter. It is a place that you want to visit on Lake Worth Road. An unassuming old school petite space restaurant with limited counter seats, but wonderful homemade southern food, sizable portions, along with that southern hospitality. Another reason for my visit was their extensive breakfast menu that is always available. Their omelets, regardless of choice, are all delicious portions. And I absolutely love their hash browns. My family loves this place. It's a very small, hidden spot, so understanding this is essential to having a good time. I like the crowded, cozy atmosphere and the variety of folks that come. There is however, typically a wait for tables, and very tight seating. The menu has lots of American dishes that I don't see offered at other nearby restaurants. I had the special which was a cheese omelette with corned beef hash. It came with hash browns and an English muffin. The others at the table had the hangover which was definitely a good meal. It came with 3 pancakes, two eggs, bacon, and sausages. The pancakes were large and fluffy. If you are in the area do check this place out. Came by for an early breakfast and saw this place open at 7am. By 7:30 the parking lot was full but they did have plenty of seating inside. Service was quick and the food came quicker than expected. Its funny, more then 10 years ago someone asked me if I was gonna stop at Mom's kitchen for dinner and I had no idea what that was. In fact, the first time I looked for the place, I drove right past it. I really can't express in words how much I love this little place. I get a warm feeling inside just walking in the door. Sadly many of the servers that I knew are gone, but occasionally I spot a familiar face and it makes me smile. All the daily specials are amazing, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. Today I opted for 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and as usual, they were toasty, melty and delicious. The iced tea is the nectar of the south and served up cold and refreshing.
