Located at the opposite end of Dixie Donuts, this was a convenient lunch stop. A small diner open until 3pm, with some counter seating and a larger dining room. They have a handwritten daily special menu as well as two white boards in the dining room. I chose the Meatloaf lunch which came with two sides, mashed potatoes and zucchini. My meal was good and filling. The service was friendly and fast.

Southend Kitchen Review - A Solid Local Breakfast Spot Worth Visiting Stopped in at Southend Kitchen for a late breakfast, and I have to say--it's a great little Mom-and-Pop-style spot that serves up classic breakfast and lunch fare with heart. They're open daily from 7 AM to 2 PM, so it's definitely a morning or early afternoon destination. The staff was warm and welcoming--the kind of service you hope for in a hometown diner. The overall layout and atmosphere feel like a familiar family-run spot, nothing flashy, just cozy and comfortable. I had the eggs, bacon, and French toast combo. The eggs and bacon were standard and just right, but the French toast stole the show--seriously over-the-top good. I'm guessing they cooked it in a butter base because the edges had that perfect crispness without being greasy or soggy. It was rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best I've had in a while. Coffee was a bit on the darker, over-roasted side for my personal taste, but still drinkable. The grits were creamy--not clumpy or dry--and the toast came out just right. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, even if the presentation was pretty standard. Pricing is moderate and fair for what you get. Overall, I'd give Southend Kitchen a solid 8.5 out of 10. If you're in the area and looking for a satisfying breakfast or lunch in a laid-back setting with great service, this is a spot worth checking out--especially for that French toast!

The Working Man $9.99! This place has great value.

This is a really nice neighborhood diner. The food is always good, consistent, and really well priced. Most places would be $3 - $5 more for the same thing. The service is good too. Most of the staff has been there for awhile too. If you're in the SoSo area stop in. Enjoy!

SouthEnd Kitchen is a no-frills diner that serves your standard breakfast and lunch fare like ham and cheese omelettes and BLTs, without any pomp or circumstance. And gosh, do I love it. I've been frequenting SouthEnd for the last couple of years. They are a place I like going for breakfast when I have the time. They are dependable. They are affordable. And, most importantly, their dishes such as their ham and cheese omelette with hash browns hits the spot. Located in a small plaza, northbound on Dixie Highway, a couple of blocks north of Forrest Hill Boulevard, past the Chevron gas station and Innova boutique, SouthEnd offers consistent dishes with prompt service. Parking in the plaza to reach SouthEnd is normally available With a bar counter as you enter with stool seating, as well as four booths at least and 10 to 12 tables, the diner has a steady flow of locals from the area who patronize for their favorite dishes -- like me and the omelette. The decor is simple with white walls, holding up framed pictures that blend with the decor instead of pop, but that's part of the charm. I come to SouthEnd because it's easy and dependable. You can always find a couple of seats, service is always punctual, and I never leave hungry.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff is really friendly. The food comes out hot, fresh and delicious. It's a great little restaurant that happens to be both family friendly and nice and quiet. If you order fries you get a more than generous portion of French fries. And for West Palm Beach the prices are definitely very reasonable.

It's nice to find a lunch place that has reasonable prices good food and friendly service. Everyone here speaks English so there are no issues. I had a patty melt which was excellent and it came with fries also very good iced tea. The only complaint was my friends lemon chicken soup, it was rather bland and the saltine crackers were stale. Good selection of lunch specials at very reasonable prices

We went here for brunch. We all had the skillets and while not what I would consider a traditional skillet was really very tasty. They put the cubes potatoes on bottom and then the omelet on top of that and then a sausage gravy. So it wasn't all cooked together. Nice portions and the staff was very friendly.

Yum! Nice clean diner with great staff!! Will be back!

They have some small two top tables inside and a couple high tops outside. They had a board with lunch specials on it. But we wound up ordering from their regular menu. I got the moussaka and he got pasticchio. Both dishes came with a very generously sized Greek salad and warm pita wedges to start. The salads had tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, onions, pepperoncinis, and romaine lettuce topped with feta cheese and dressing. There was also a small rice stuffed grape leaf -- cut in half. The salad could have been a meal in itself. The moussaka was layered egg plant and potatoes with a ground beef filling topped with cinnamon béchamel sauce. The pasticchio is the Greek version of lasagna but with elbow macaroni. Both portions were quite filling. I ate my dish and he brought half of his home. He was saving room for dessert. For dessert, he had galaktoboureko which is a custard filled pastry topped with simple syrup. He said it was good, but it would have been better if warmed. Or at least if the syrup was warm. We had very good service. If you like Greek food and are in the area, this is a good place to try. Large portions at reasonable prices.

The tacos came with chips and some fresh pico which was good but difficult to eat as the chips didn't fit inside the little plastic cup. From the moment you walk in, the romantic ambiance sets the tone--warm lighting, elegant decor, and that unmistakable cozy Italian charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was equally impressive--rich, hearty Tuscan ragu layered with a perfectly balanced red tomato sauce that tasted slow-cooked and deeply comforting. I've ordered here countless times between 7:00 and 9:30 with zero issues, so this experience caught me completely off guard. Tonight, I called four times between 8:15 and 8:50 with no answer. It usually takes a couple calls to get someone to answer the phone. Anyways, when someone finally picked up at 8:50, I was told the kitchen closed at 8:45. Fine, things change. But when I asked if that was a new policy, I was told it's "always been like that," which just isn't true based on my repeated orders during that exact timeframe. Then it got worse. I mentioned the gentleman who usually takes my orders, and the employee (who said her name was Daniella) told me he was dead. Whether that was a joke or not, it was completely inappropriate and honestly shocking. The attitude throughout the call made it pretty clear the focus was on closing up, not helping a paying customer. That's the part that really ruins it for me. If the kitchen is closing earlier now, that's totally fine, just update your hours across Google and other platforms so customers aren't left guessing or chasing an order that was never going to happen. Really disappointed because I've always had great experiences here, but this one was enough to make me reconsider coming back.

Seated immediately for our reservation, our waiter promptly greeted us & took Beverage requests. Started with a Hendricks Martini ($21) and bottle of sparkling water (unfortunately it's was domestic Mountain Valley & not Pellegrino) and surprisingly priced at $12. As we waited for drinks, we perused the menu. What caught my eye was the many great salads & different from the norm entrees. I started with the Leek Soup ($18) which was outstanding. Flavorful & Vibrant. Next we tried the Green Salad, ($23) perfectly named as it had many kinds of lettuce only. It was incredibly Fresh & served with a light vinaigrette. A large portion. I loved it. Others ordered the Beets & Goat cheese salad ($25) which was delicious as well. Our entrees were: A whole Branzino ($49 and plenty for 2 to share) which was beautifully roasted and served filleted with tail on. A large portion of perfectly sliced & cooked lamb chops ($52) Really good. We also had a side of local roasted baby carrots ($19) with greens still on. Pricey, but maybe the best tasting carrots I've ever had. We finished with one dessert recommendation from our waiter. Sticky Toffee pudding ($16) which was a soft moist tasty Bundt cake with a too small scoop of homemade pistachio ice cream. Good but not up to the standard of the other items we had this evening. Service: we had a perfect experience from our waiter & waitstaff. Incredibly professional and around when needed. Overall the food is really good and justifies the higher prices which in South Florida isn't usually the case. Upon leaving I told the owner/GM that this was the best restaurant I have eaten in 2026! Don't wait until you hear about it getting a Michelin star and go now. You heard it from this Foodie. Just know that on Saturdays the well healed crowd is lively & the noise level is spirited.

We chose to sit inside as our friends suggested the main outdoor area can get very loud, making conversation difficult. Service was spotty, I had to ask for a glass of ice 3 times and he disappeared towards the end of the meal, as he got busy attending tables outside. It is a small menu with limited options. We started with the mussels and Mediterranean dip. It was very nice but served with a cold whole pita which everyone needs to touch and tear apart. I ordered the steak and frites ( substituting a salad over frites) which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Hubs and another had the flat iron chicken which was very moist, but charred which is not only carcinogenic but bitter in taste which I did not enjoy and would not have eaten. Our friend had the lamb chops which she ordered medium but they came rare but tasted good. We ordered the soufflé and affogato for dessert. The young lady drops off the small dish of vanilla ice cream with the soufflé but no espresso. The soufflé was cold and undercooked. It took awhile for our server to return, and he brought out the espresso which might have sat outside the whole time as it wasn't even hot...our waiter never returned, so we still ate it but it wasn't as good.. A few notes which took away from our experience was the service, cold/undercooked dishes, and the chicken entree lacking as they serve fries but no veggies unless you order carrots or cauliflower at $20? They also charged $12 for water. Not the best experience.

I usually ate here at least twice a month or more for six years. And brought guests constantly . The food was always well prepared and at a reasonable price. The owner was always very friendly. BUT I will never again go back to Sofra after my experience last night. Last night I went with a couple of people that I had raved about this restaurant to. The owner, who certainly must've recognized me from the countless times I've eaten there in five years, barely grunted at me and the vibes I got from him were not very welcoming. He seemed really angry about something and was taking it out on his customers. There was only one other table that had customers and this was a Friday night. I found that really odd because other restaurants surrounding Sofra had lots of people sitting outside eating at their restaurants I ordered a falafel plate and others at our table ordered the İskender and another entrée. I practically passed out when I got the bill because I guess I didn't check the prices when I was ordering. The falafel plate, which was basically a spoonful of salad, a spoonful of rice, a few hard burned falafel, soup and a dribbling of tahini was $33. This is obscene. When this restaurant first opened they were charging for the same plate $15 and then they went to $25 after a few years which I thought was pretty high for the food we were getting but $33 is just plain greedy. I won't even do a review on the other two entrées because my party could barely eat them. I now see why there was nobody, literally nobody in this restaurant on a Friday night. And the owner, what happened to him? he used to be such a friendly guy and now he is just an angry man. The waitress never went back to check on us and refill our water after taking our order. Despite only two tables with customers in this restaurant. I read some of the reviews where owner says he hates the fucking country so why doesn't he just leave? There's plenty of really good Mediterranean restaurants that are not going to charge this kind of money for Mediterranean food. Even if the felafel was the best falafel I've ever eaten in my entire life - $33 is crazy. And it was not very good felafel - in fact all the food is mediocre. Where it once was amazing. So my suggestion to the owner is to lower his prices, improve the quality of his food and improve his attitude
