    Banana pudding

Had a most lovely and homey brunch/early lunch here and ordered quite a few items to try. My friend and I got two specials of the day, mushroom katsu curry and shrimp roll. The mushroom was large and the fry was crispy. The curry sauce was very flavorful. The shrimp rolls were amazing. The miso soup was a wonderful size and had veggies in it. The chicken nanban were crispy and the tartar sauce was tangy and addicting. The futomaki roll and banana pudding was okay! There isn't a lot of seating so would recommend coming before or after the lunch rush. The space is light and airy. Service was attentive and everyone was very welcoming.

The online ordering process was very easy. The menu was diverse and very affordable. We ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box, the karrage curry and the salmon Cobb salad. I couldn't resist adding a yellowtail sushi roll as well. Pick up was easy. Unfortunately, when I got back to the hospital, I noticed that the chicken teriyaki bento box was missing. There was no phone number on the website to call. The number on YELP was not useful. There was nothing to do but walk back from the hospital. Thankfully it wasn't busy. When we told them about the missing meal, the tone in which the guy asked why we didn't bring the whole bag back made it seem like he was accusing me of trying to steal a meal from them.... Why would we walk all the way back from the hospital with the rest of our food to pick up our missing order?!!! The lady then noticed that there was a brown bag with a chicken teriyaki bento box on the counter that was ours. There was a mistake during the bagging process. She apologized and gave us a free dessert. But unfortunately, despite having this great option by the hospital, I can't see myself coming back. I can't shake the feeling of being accused of trying to get a free meal...

This has been on my list to try for a long time! But since they're only open during lunch on weekdays, it's been difficult to make the time to come. But today I was able to check it out! The restaurant is easy to find. It's right as you enter from the Annex building. The inside is very small with only counter seating about 6 seats. The kitchen is open concept where you can see them cooking and preparing the food. There's daily specials but make sure to come early because by the time we arrived, two specials we wanted to try were out already. But luckily, I was able to try their strawberry fruit sando ($6.50). We ordered the salmon teriyaki bento and the chicken nanban. Both tasted good like home cooked meals. The salad dressing seemed to be random? My friend got ginger and I got the basil dressing. It would be nice if they let you pick which dressing you wanted. The two bento sets were good and came with small side dishes: egg salad, marinated veggies, a piece of pumpkin, and half a curry eggroll. Everything was good but nothing too special - more of a home cooked style. The staff were nice and served us water. The environment was very casual. Momo was there and was very friendly. I think they have special desserts on Wednesdays and Fridays. The fruit sando was not as nice as I would've liked. The strawberries were sour but I liked that the filling was a mix of custard and whipped cream. The price was very reasonable but flavor wise, it was just okay. Overall: a great casual place for home cooked style Japanese food - great for dine in or take out. I would come again to try their specials and other desserts.

Momo is literally a kitchen style eatery. It's located in the Brooklyn army terminal. Staff are sweet and welcoming. So far I've tried their sushi, the onigiri, the soup and the bowl. Everything tastes great. The only thing I wasn't feeling is the onigiri which had way too much rice and not enough filling. Prices are average, food is great, ambience isn't for me but amazing for take out. I've been here 5x already & will be back again.

Wow this cod katsu sando was amazing! Highly recommended!

Tried one of their specials today - the cod katsu sando. WOW! It was honestly amazing!! It was so delicious and well seasoned! The cod katsu has their special egg salad in it. I shared the sandwich with my coworker, who is a picky eater & she loved it! Highly recommended! Hope they will make this sandwich again!

    Chicken katsu curry

4.5 to be exact. We stumbled this little gem when we randomly got off a ferry stop. Price was very reasonable. We ordered one chicken katsu curry and one karage curry. While chicken katsu was piping hot from the fryer, karage was kinda cold. Not sure it was done purposely. Cuz I know Japanese do serve karage cold in bento. But their curry sauce was phenomenal. It was so flavorful with the perfect level of sweetness and saltiness. Man, I still think of it when I'm writing this lol. Wish they open on weekend that I can come back to try other items from their menu.

I work right down the street from Momo's and come here once a week for lunch. There are so many amazing things about this place! First of all, all the food is fresh and made right before your eyes. It's great quality that's also a great price. Secondly, Chef Yukumi, who is the founder of Momo's, is so warm and welcoming. Coming in to Momo's each week feels like I'm being invited in to her home. She always welcomes me with a smile and greets me by name. The plants on the windowsill and all the natural light that comes in definitely adds to the cosy atmosphere. If you're ever in Brooklyn Army Terminal, do yourself a favor and go here!

    Karaage curry

Always excellent! Fast and delicious. Everything they do is executed at a high level with generous portions and reasonable prices.

A small restaurant located inside Brooklyn terminal Off the ferry and pier. Saw many items to try on the menu, but oddly I selected the safe don katsu which is a normal staple. Wide selection of drinks, great service and reasonably priced. Seating can be a little tricky and hit or miss depending on how many are entertaining this place during lunch. - maybe take it outside if it is summertime Definitely a must try if in the general area or coming off the ferry.

Got lost getting here since it's my first time at Brooklyn army terminal. Keep your eye out for the Annex sign on the building. Small spot with really only 6ish seats. Such a sweet find in this area. Ordered their special yellowtail bowl and it came with a salad. The fish was fresh with some dressing on top which was delicious - didn't even need any soy sauce. The rice was kind of vinegary which works for me because i Love vinegar but the rice could have been less moist. They don't have a bathroom in the unit so you have to go to the 2nd floor and walk through empty hallways. Such a pleasant find near nyu hospital vs. other food options nearby. I wasn't hungry til I started eating the meal.

Food tastes sooo good! Its a small cute place and only open for a short time but great for lunch. I look forward to their next Today's Special. Hoping that they would serve coffee/latte/tea next?

Really wanted to like this place seeing so many positive reviews. I ordered the curry chicken katsu lunch which was okay, it was on the really salty side and even though I was eating lunch at the counter I was not given a cup of water. Just standard service I think a cup of water should be provided without having to request it.

The broth and rice combination was really comforting and satisfying. This dish was something I wanted to try in Japan but did not get a chance to experience when there, so I was excited to try it at Ozakaya. I was really pleasantly surprised by the ramen here as well. Although the pork could have been better/more tender, the broth was rich and seasoned so well and not too salty like other places. Last but not least, the service here was excellent and efficient. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

Lots of people came in and out for takeout orders so that seems to be more of the target audience. Service was quick and polite, we were there until 9:30 and they definitely seemed ready for us to be out of there before the 10PM closing time. As for the specialty rolls, there were some pretty creative options - don't shy away from seemingly odd combinations because the flavors really do work well together. I appreciated the rice:fish ratio on all the rolls, the rice was a thin layer letting the flavor of the other ingredients really come through. The plain spicy tuna roll on the other hand was filled with spicy tuna mixed with something crunchy - maybe puffed rice? It seemed to be an unnecessary filler, I would have preferred just fish. I enjoyed the Lovers Dream and Golden Sunset roll the most. While I was debating it while ordering, in hindsight I would definitely get two rolls per person, maybe more if you're really hungry.

The Mystic Dragon roll was the standout for me-absolutely delicious. It had a variety of textures that gave it a great mouthfeel. I think this was my favorite of the three. All the flavors complemented each other beautifully. The strawberry sauce was unexpected but surprisingly worked! I love unique flavor combinations, and this one did not disappoint. The Torched King roll was also excellent. Salmon is my go-to for sushi, and the light torching gave it a subtle smoky flavor that I loved.
