Great views abs ambiance. Service is hit or miss. Some of the staff is great and some tend to disappear mid service, leaving you trying to flag down other wait staff or bussers to get something or even just the check. Sunset into dusk/night is best time. You get the full effect of the views. In terms of food. It wasn't bad at all, just nothing that was punch in the face kind of wow. The seafood seems fairly fresh and they make dishes to showcase the seafood. They have a few non-seafood items as well. Drinks look great. I wish the wine list by the glass was more extensive. Had enough options to pair well with food but more on the basic side. Likely would be back for other food items but may just enjoy food and drinks at the bar.
Our group of 4 enjoyed a Friday night at Molo's. Ample parking can be found across the street in a lot at no charge. We were about 15 minutes early for our reservation, but they immediately welcomed us without hesitation and escorted us to our table with a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline. (TIP: Request a seat at the windows) The 2nd floor was closed, however my wife said the view was better upstairs. AMBIENCE: You can't go wrong with floor-to-ceiling windows and the NYC skyline as your backdrop. Tables were spaced well and even with a full dining room, we had great conversation without having to "Scream" at each other. Lighting was perfect as it wasn't too bright or too dim. SERVICE: Very fast, efficient and pleasant. Water glass was never empty. We sat for about 3 hours and never felt rushed or like they wanted us out. FOOD: Authentic Mediterranean experience. The Fried Feta (Photo) tasted like it was straight from Santorini. The Lobster Fettuccine (Photo) was very filling with huge pieces of lobster including both claws. Crabcake was very fresh. VALUE: Some other reviews say that it was overpriced and I can understand the feeling. However for fine dining on a waterfront, the pricing was as expected. Especially for seafood. We would absolutely return to Molo's!
I had a fantastic dinner at Molos last night! Definitely sit outside when dining because the patio and view of the NYC skyline is spectacular. There's lots of lights to make the views even more special. The inside is just as beautiful. However, the patio is perfect! I would recommend booking an earlier dinner if you want to eat outside because it does become quite busy. There are so many great appetizer options on the menu. My friend and I tried the fried feta topped with pistachio and drizzled with honey. We also shared pita with eggplant dip. Both options were a big hit. You can't go wrong with fried feta! For dinner, we shared the Dover sole and Spanokorisotto. The Dover sole was marinated in lemon and butter. The potion sizes were decent, so you get your money's worth. The Spanokorisotto was a nice play on Spanokopita and risotto combined. We loved that! We finished our meal with dessert and really enjoyed the Galacktoboureko, which is a vanilla custard pie. The espresso martinis were delightful. If you're in the mood for Greek, check Molos out!
for the View, 1/2 for the Food -- but Who's Counting When Manhattan is Glowing in Front of You? If you want dinner *with* Manhattan instead of *in* Manhattan, Molos is your spot. It's basically a giant glass box perched right on the Hudson, staring straight at the skyline like it's trying to flirt with it. I swear Icould practically see Times Square blinking back at me. We got there at 6 PM -- perfect timing to watch the sun set behind the city and make you briefly forget about New Jersey traffic and your $10 valet fee (because, of course, there's no parking -- beauty has its price).This was a special "welcome home" dinner for my son, back to Jersey after college and a few years of wandering the states. The mood? Proud dad. The view? Movie set. The crowd? Birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, and at least one guy nervously clutching a ring box (good luck, buddy). Now, the food. Let's just say it's like the skyline: looks great from afar, fine up close, but you're mostly here for the view. The menu calls itself Greek seafood, and sure, there's octopus, branzino, and calamari doing their best impression of Santorini. It's... fine. Not bad, not life-changing -- just "average in a nice way." Cocktails were good -- strong enough to make me forgive a few culinary sins and toast to the incredible setting. Service was polite, professional, and didn't rush us, which I appreciated. Would I go back? Absolutely. Not for the food, but to feel like I own a multimillion-dollar penthouse for the price of dinner and valet. Pro tip: go before sunset, order a drink, and pretend you're in a lifestyle commercial.
Came by on a weekday for dinner without a reservation and was seated right away outside. Waiter was nice though the food and drinks both took quite the minute to come out. Food was good though I will say it's a bit on the pricey side. The lobster pasta was good though did hope for more than four pieces for the price. I will say those molos chips were great. Sea bass was good though there are bones so make sure to chew slow (rookie mistake on my end). The ambiance is the highlight with great views of the city. The outdoor area can be pretty windy though so something to keep in mind.
I've been to Molo's a few times over the years. The food is pretty good (although a little overpriced) and you can't beat the beautiful NYC views. They have a great outdoor patio with plenty of seating and a large indoor dining room. My husband and I dined here for dinner a few weeks ago and the service was insanely slow (which was odd because the dinner rush had mostly cleared out). The tuna tartare appetizer and oysters were delicious, and our entrees were fine (I got the Dover sole and he ordered the lamb chops, nothing too memorable). It's a good spot for outdoor dining but not top of our list to return to anytime soon.
This restaurant's view will take your breath away, from sunset into the night-- my parties wait-time for every part of the service was very long, so be prepared to spend hours here. Though our appetizers were satisfying, we found the oyster and mackerel risotto to be inedible - undefined risotto texture with no visible oysters and too much smoke and salt. The oysters had been infused into the risotto, we were told. Our group also ordered the lamb chops which were too salty. While mostly just main courses were lackluster, our truffle fries, lacked truffles. Even though our main courses were disappointing, the service was very responsive, the risotto was not on the check and we were given free dessert wine after voicing our complaints. We will be coming back for drinks and appetizers, and the view.
If you want to impress a date, this would be a good location to take them. The nyc skyline view is absolutely beautiful and I can't imagine how it looks at night. Some of the best Greek salad I've ever had, everything tasted super fresh. I got lobster Mac and it was different. The drinks were excellent as well. the only thing that was off was the service, it was a delayed due to an event happening downstairs. maybe the place is under staffed when there is an event going on. Regardless, I enjoyed the views and the eats and would recommend going there at least once to try it out.
The ambience here is always pleasant. Even in the colder months when they have the outdoor tent in place. As I mentioned, the martini was delicious. The lobster pasta was not what I expected. The waiter did explain that it was in a red cream sauce, but the fettuccine was a bit too al dente for me. The lobster was tender and plentiful, so no complaints there. The reason for three stars instead of five is because the waiter, Kalin, was so unpleasant. We sat there for 10 minutes before we were asked if we wanted the bottle of sparkling water you see in the photo. After dropping off the water, he took another 10 minutes to come back. He asked us what we would like to order but I had to prompt him to tell us about the specials for the day! It should be automatic, it is part of your job as a server. We watched him interact with other tables and his personality would always switch when coming back to ours. I did not have a chance to bring this to management's attention as I was thoroughly annoyed by the end of our meal. I will dine here again, and request not to be seated in his area !
A very delicious Greek-based restaurant with the option to select fresh fish from a large selection. The views of the city are amazing and you should ask for a table near the windows. You won't stop looking out. We had a ton of dishes (can't remember their names) and they were all good. One that stuck with me and had to order a second round, was the desert. It was a custard with a flaky top and covered with syrup (not very sweet. I promise). It was so yummy. The staff, Vasili, (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was really nice. He was Greek and recommended two great bottles of wine. He made the night even better by introducing us to a mastica drink which is made from tree sap (it smelled just like pine!). The place is a bit on the expensive ($200/person with drinks and tip) but well worth it.
I was looking to dine somewhere with a view but still here in NJ. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews that stated service was slow. We were given a choice of eating indoors or outdoors. There were no more window seats so we chose outside. The view is great. There was a breeze so the night was perfect. Our server greeted us and we ordered drinks. We then placed our meal order. The first thing I ordered was a bread basket. Our appetizers came out at a fairly decent time. We finished our appetizers but the bread still hadn't come out. So I canceled the bread order. Then throughout the night our drinks came out very slowly. My husband would inquire as to where his drink was because a good amount of time had passed. Now the food. I was disappointed to find out they had no more lamb chops. The calamari tasted as it would usually. The green sauce was different and tasty. The crab cake was good too. My husband enjoyed his seafood and orzo. He said it tasted fresh. My lobster pasta had the right amount of lobster pieces in it. Overall it was a pleasant experience, just certain parts of the restaurant's service ran slowly.

You can't beat the views on this place! You get amazing views of the Manhattan skyline. As you walk in you see a very ornate Bougainvillea decorated with some fairy lights. The food however is ok. I had the Greek Salad and the Chicken. The salad was ok. Not bad not great. Just ok. The chicken was the same. Ok. It was juicy and lemony but not great for the price. Seafood restaurant at Weekhawken, NJ The restaurant was walking distance from our hotel and had a great view of Manhattan. Since we didn't have a reservation and wasn't too hungry, we sat at the bar. The restaurant was fully packed and busy. Our greek salad was excellent. New Jersey tomato was very sweet and the feta cheese was good quality. The bread basket with hummus was also great. Our entree came out very late but grilled whole lobster was perfectly cooked with potato. However, we had to ask for cocktail sauce and proper utensil to eat the lobster. Amazing dining experience for dinner. Beautiful scenic views of city. Tony P provided excellent service, as well as great food and drink recommendations. The molo mojito and old fashioned were great. As appetizers, we started with the tuna tartare which was the best tuna tartare I've had in a long time and the crab cake which was so fresh and delicious. The seafood and orzo was hearty and included such fresh seafood. The filet Mignon was delicious and the mashed potatoes were rich. Overall great dining experience and will be back soon. Your just paying for the ambiance!!! Our party of 9 arrived, was seated right away, it was so crowded. Our waiter came to our table and introduced himself. Ronnie great guy, We placed our drink orders, and appetizers which I think was actually the best tgis which was the octopus! Waited a long time for our food, about an hour could be more, anyways, 8 out of 9 got there food, when we complained to the waiter he said they give away the 9th persons food. WHAT!!! Now everyone food is getting cold, as we wait for the other person's food, Almost 10pm they got the food but had to leave, took them another 10min to pack it to go. Truly disappointed, we go that meal free. But not the very best. read more
Decided to check this place out after seeing that there was a Greek restaurants close by. Didn't have reservations. Went to the front and there was a girl and guy. Guy helped us get seated outside quickly Service: okay. Server was okay. Nothing good or bad Spread: got all 5. Yogurt, eggplant, spicy feta, roe?, and garlic. Comes with pita and the pita was good and slightly chewy. Taste better than what it looks like. Spicy feta is not spicy. Garlic was our fav Greek salad: more like tomato salad with garnish and feta cheese. Thin slices of cucumber. Felt like I ate 2/3 whole tomatoes with dressing and feta cheese Drinks- Spicy pineapple margarita- good but cup seems like it's on the thinner and smaller side. Drink was def on the weaker side of most spicy margs I've tried Lemoni- def got this cus I read that it was a drink with egg whites. I like to try drink with egg whites cus my sister usually likes drink that have egg whites and I would've told her about BUT... I don't see egg whites. Also said muddled strawberry.. I saw like little flecks of the seed and stuff and one strawberry.. so not sure.. maybe I read the drink menu incorrectly They give you the drink/cocktail menu then come out and ask for what water you want and give you a bigger menu so we thought it was the dinner menu but it was another drink menu. Had to ask for the dinner menu. Parking- there's a lot across for customers to park at. View is amazing! Colder on the pergola but it's so pretty. Loved seeing the sunset. Didn't see the sunset but you could tell the sun was setting since it hit the building and the sky kept changing. So pretty I asked the waiter about hh and they don't have it anymore. Amazing view of NYC. Great for photo ops. The oysters were amazing, rib eye was a bit too fatty but cooked right, arugula and fig salad was surprisingly great. Seafood orzo and lobster pasta were also good. For calamari, go for fried and not grilled Heard they have happy hour. Will definitely go again for that read more

the experience was fantastic from start to finish. One of the highlights is the stunning view of New York City--it truly makes the whole whole feel special. creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable night out The food was exceptional. I had the lamb chops, and they were incredible--tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The flavor was rich and satisfying, making it one of the best dishes I've had in a while. The rest of the menu looked equally tempting, with a great variety of Mediterranean dishes and fresh seafood. On top of that, the service was outstanding. Not only were the staff attentive and friendly, but they also went out of their way to accommodate my dog. They brought her a bowl of water without me even asking, and the staff took the time to pet her and make her feel welcome. It's rare to find a place that treats your pet so kindly, which made the experience even better. If you're looking for a restaurant with delicious food, stunning views, and a welcoming atmosphere for both you and your dog, I highly recommend Molos! read more

My bf brought me here for a dinner date and it was a perfect date spot! The view was amazing, by the water and you can see all the beautiful city lights. Parking was also very convenient. We were greeted with care from the beginning until the end. Staff here are very attentive and made it such a comfortable environment in a classy spot. I got the lavender cocktail and it tasted delicious! Very light and easy to drink. We started off with A dozen of oysters and their sauces were very unique and blended in very well together. We also got the crab cake as an appetizer and the display was pretty and it tasted good too! I also got the lavraki as my main dish and it was a nice refreshing entree. It's too much for it to be alone so for my side, I ordered the lobster risotto- delicious! I would definitely come back to try the other entrees! read more

Lovely waterfront restaurant with very upscale vibes. The bar is pretty big if you just want to stop in for a craft cocktail. The seafood was all fresh and well prepared and the Service is on point. This would be a great date night spot or celebrating a special occasion. Prices are on the higher end but the portions are not small so it doesn't feel overpriced. read more
Don't get me wrong.. the views were phenomenal. However, this place is definitely overpriced. I paid $45 for 3 pieces of scallops which weren't even cooked to perfection. It was on top of mushy rice that tasted mediocre. The lobster pasta was good but in my opinion also overpriced. Not sure if I'll be back. read more

So ... here is what I think about this place ... The view : Absolutely AMAZING !! Stunning view The bathroom : yea the bathroom is extremely clean The Food: the food is to die for , served hot and fresh The service : TERRIBLE :( my boyfriend called ahead to make a reservation for a special occasion ( my birthday ) he requested a seat by the window and they told him that was first come first serve, honestly this was a special occasion . Than we get there and the hostess was not that pleasant either , she was not helpful at all . I think another Gentleman possibly the manager suggested we be seated upstairs and she still questioned him ( not good ) if you ask me . We finally get seated and the view is absolutely breathtaking, however their staff in general needs a course on how to be polite and pleasant because they are just like robots , not helpful at all . So it was very disappointing to have such great view and great food yet pour service , they certainly need to work on that . If you like a beautiful view and great food that is the place for you , but if you are someone like me who also appreciate proper customer service you will be very disappointed. read more

I visited Molos for my birthday. Me and my friend had a reservation in advance for a Wednesday. As expected it was not busy but what wasn't expected was the poor service. I felt like we kept having to flag down waiters to help and at one point even the bartender had to help us. What should have been an hour and a half max reservation turned into 3 hours! Aside from that I will say the decor was very nice. It's a pretty intimate spot. I'm sure the view is more of a reason to dine there too. I forgot the drinks we had but they were good. We started off with tuna tartare and pita bread with tzatziki. Both delicious! For our main courses I had the Spring Chicken and my friend had the Lobster Fettucine. We really liked our dishes. I wasn't even able to finish my dish even though it didn't look like a lot. The flavors were unique and tasted fresh. At the end of the night they brought out a custard dessert with a candle. I fell in love with it. I wish I remembered the name snd it was not on the menu. I'm not sure if I would return but it was a nice experience! read more

Delicious food, stunning view, great service! Molos has it all, although it will cost you. But it's worth it for food this good. Came here for lunch with friends and started with a variety of spreads. They were all delicious, especially the one with eggplant and the warm pita they were served with were equally tasty. When looking at the menu I thought I wanted the sole but the waiter told me I didn't want that...instead I wanted the lavraki (branzino). I figured he should know so went with his recommendation and boy am I glad I did. That may have been the best fish I've ever eaten. It was so good I practically inhaled it and my dining companions still had half their meals left when I came up for air. It was really, really well prepared with a delicate seasoning. It was perfectly cooked and so light and tender with just a little crispness around the edge. It's ruined me for other fish, I'm sure. We also had grilled vegetables which were great and some amazing lemon potatoes. Service throughout was professional and friendly, top notch team there. Be prepared to open your wallets as lunch for three with two total drinks (the other guy had seltzer) coming to $240 with tip. I'll be thinking about that fish until the next time I'm there. Came here in December for my brothers 40th. What an amazing time we all had. So much that at exactly 10pm they turned the lights on and asked us very kindly to leave(the bill was paid too). So, I'm a very happy to announce that they follow all CDC guidelines!! Now onto the juicy stuff... the food! Yummm! We had the Seafood Plateau as one of our appetizers. All of the seafood is fresh! I had for dinner the Dover Sole- clearly I didn't take a picture as I too excited to eat it. It goes without saying that this place is definitely worth it! Everyone was extremely satisfied with their dinner meals. All of were stuffed. The staff is all very pleasant too! Cannot wait to return too! read more

Tried this place for dinner and while the food was fantastic, the service left much to be desired. Had to keep asking for my water to be refilled and at times was left empty. Sitting inside a big metal and glass box about three feet above the Hudson River in Weehawken, Molos translates from Greek for "the pier where fishermen gather their daily catch," is a 2-story establishment with a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline which some of my colleague came for dinner tonight for the first time. Parking was available at their private lot a block away. Depending on the time of visit, you may find a full, noisy dining room or have space to yourself. Upon entering, one can't miss the view of the main dining room and bar lounge area by the floor-to-ceiling windows. Upstairs is a private party room called Sky View available for special events. Even though reservation was made, it took a bit to get seated until half of our party arrived. The current restaurant menu is not extensive and features seafood and Mediterranean influenced cuisine a la carte. Various small plate appetizers such as Char-Grilled Octopus (Santorini black fava, red onion, dill gremolata) Tuna Tartare (Avocado puree, yuzu ponzu sauce, wasabi tobiko, pita chips) and Lobster Bisque started our meal. For entrees, some of us ordered Seafood and Orzo (Lobster tail, shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, fresh tomato), Dover Sole (North sea - firm, sweet and buttery) and Colossal King Prawn (Madagascar wild giant shrimp) accompanied by Truffle Fries, Brussels Sprouts and Roasted Lemon Potatoes. Some had even room for dessert and got Chocolate Lava Cake (Valrhona Chocolate, Vanilla Gelato), Galakotoboureko (Phyllo Pie with Semolina Custard, Spiced Syrup) and Baklava Feuilletine (Crispy crêpe, Pistachio Cream, Browned Butter Syrup). Every bite was super tasty as it was prepared with fresh ingredients. Portions were adequate but not enough to bring home. The service was equally impressive, with the attentive staff ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional which we can recommend it. read more

What can I say, we had a blast at this restaurant. We came here to celebrate my significant other's birthday. We were seated by the window and I must say the view was to die for. It is one of the best views of NYC you can get! The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson are truly stunning and made you felt like you were floating on the water. It was the perfect backdrop for dinner. The interior decorations, set-up, and ambiance are also perfect. The exposed wine racks and fresh seafood market display add a unique vibe to the place. It all came together really well. The host was super friendly and checked in on us the entire night. Made sure our time there was special. As for dinner, the food was delectable. For appetizers we had the jumbo shrimp cocktail (8/10). For the main course we selected the lobster pasta and the prime filet mignon (10/10). The pasta had a lot of flavor and the filet mignon was cooked to perfection. They have a wide selection of wine and cocktails. There is something for everyone. We ended night with a very rich slice of chocolate cake and taking a walk on the patio to get a longer glimpse of the NYC view. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I went during Valentine's weekend so it was packed but it was a very tasty meal with a classy ambiance and amazing view of the city. For the oysters I'd recommend ordering the Kumamoto oysters. They had much more flavor than the East coast option. The lobster fettuccine was solid, creamy, plenty of lobster in my opinion. Across from me was the ribeye steak which I only got a bite from so really all I can say is it was tender and little bit crispy on the outside. The side dishes were 10/10. Brussel sprouts crispy and flavorful & French fries were similar to a five guys fry. We did have a side of asparagus but it's not in the photos. My least favorite dish. read more
This place gets 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't have half a star. With a beautiful view of NYC across the Hudson River, Molo's is great for all occasions. I'd recommend booking right before sunset so that you can get a day view and night view. The food was amazing, service was okay, I felt like our server forgot about us sometimes (I went on a Saturday). I forgot to snap a pic of the calamari app that was great. The dover sole is amazing and the dessert was top tier. I'm not a drinker and the drinks were weakkkkk, so we decided to order a bottle of champagne which I would recommend unless the bartender got better. I saw towards the door, but this place is pretty spacious with a ton of seating. The decor toward to back did look cozy. I recommend coming here and giving it a try. I will surely be back. read more

Beautiful restaurant with beautiful views. Greek salad , fried calamari and spanakopita as apps were delicious. I had a grilled piece of fish that was light and delicious and others we were with had the filet mignon and Chicken both tasty. Service was good also though a few more waiters wouldn't hurt. All in all a nice place . read more

I tried make a reservation for me and my husband a week ahead for window seat but unfortunately the answer was no. I could wait two weeks or a month but the receptionist said no. Then who will reserve the seats for the customers by what? Just random?

What's the dress code?
Sunday brunch is more casual. But I would dress up for a date. Nice jeans or slacks.
Are there many vegetarian/vegan options available? I see 1 or 2 salads possibly. Not sure if anyone has experience with this at Molos.
Molos restaurant menu is largely based, on seafood but it does offer a couple of vegetarian options.
