What a cute restaurant! It Was empty on a very rainy day when we came in the afternoon but then later on filled up. Started with the espresso and arancini - espresso was very strong. The arancini was delicious crispy on the outside, perfectly creamy on the inside. I was underwhelmed with my short rib ravioli - it honestly was more like a soups than a pasta dish with the broth. It was just ok. The tiramisu was very creamy and I loved the crunchy milk chocolate pearls on top, it gave it great texture. Service was ok - lots of side conversions going on and we had to wave the server down a couple times but overall friendly.

This evening we attended my company's holiday party. The venue was The Franklin in Secaucus. It was closed for this private event. The service was excellent. The 3 young women I saw most of the evening were professional and helpful. They checked our coats with a smile. The food and cocktails were delicious. The food was buffet style, presentation was good. It is a small restaurant but the decor and ambiance is fresh and tasteful. I would recommend this place for a private event like a shower or party of 60. I would also recommend it for dinner.

I'd overall give this place a 3.5/5. My fiancé and I went for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant is located in the middle of a neighborhood and it's all street parking. When you walk in there's a bar section but when you walk towards the back, there's more seating. Our waitress was great and friendly. We started off with cocktails and ordered the cacio e Pepe arancini as an app. The sauce was more on the heavier and creamy side but tasted good. My fiancé ordered the vodka pasta as his entree and I ordered the chicken francese special. The chicken was okay, more on the blander side and the pasta was just okay. The food was okay, I'd go back to try the brunch.

Beautiful little place , I loves the decor , it makes you feel very welcomed , it's simple and yet classy . The bathroom is extremely clean and to me that is always a plus Service was great , we sat at the bar and our bartender Kaylee was very nice and attentive , always checking on us to make sure we were good . The food was nice and fresh , my risotto tasted amazing and the guava margarita was just a special touch . Great vibe in this place , we will definitely be back ..

The Franklin in Seacaucus is such a cute brunch spot! My cousin had made a reservation for large group of 16 and they were able to accommodate which was great. The restaurant is decorated for the holidays and they had a beautiful Christmas tree right in the dining room. Their brunch menu has a good variety of foods- the usual eggs platters, omelettes, salads, and sandwiches. And also a good menu of specialty drinks and wine. It was recommended to get the skirt steak and that is what I had ordered. Unfortunately it was a bit overcooked for my taste. But the other people in our group had enjoyed their food. I will definitely be back again and try the other brunch items.

Cute place! Went here with my friend who lives in Secaucus. They set up a table for us outside since it was so nice out. Wait service was very nice. Came here on a Saturday for lunch. Not that busy at all though I think there was a party in the back. Got the vodka chicken sandwich. Nice bread and melty cheese. Chicken was very thin and not that much. Flavor was good but wish there was more chicken. Got the salad which was good. My friend got the crab cake sandwich with potatoes and it looked really good. She loved it. 15 each, 20 total with tax and tip each. I would come back!

A really cute neighborhood spot! The outside looks like a pub, upon walking in there is a bar with locals laughing and having fun. The casual dining area is beyond that with sparkling lights and mural paintings. Our server was friendly and attentive, he gave has several recommendations. Since we were from out of town, I didn't want any leftovers so ordered the split pea soup and cacio e pepe arancini. I loved the soup! The other person in my party got the crab cakes app and carbonara. Everything was very rich and decadent.

I gathered up my girls and headed to The Franklin for a Friday night dinner. Reservations were made online, quick and easy. I haven't visited their Jersey City location yet but was excited to visit their newer location in Secaucus. The Franklin is beautiful! I loved the ambiance. Perfect for a date night. My girls and I started with their margarita, a classic. It was SOOOO GOOD. I love margaritas that are made with fresh ingredients. For our app, we decided on the antipasto platter. It was a good variety of meats and cheeses my friends loved it. Now for the star, our entrees. I had to order the salmon which was cooked to perfection. My friends ordered the steak with mashed potatoes. Let's just say, we left with happy tummies haha! I have to come back for brunch. Apparently, they have the best pancakes!

Came here a while ago, right around their grand opening. Food: food was great and good for the price point. Aesthetic: the aesthetic was very clean and professional, but the walls were painted in a strange way. I don't know if it was the intention, but looked like there were a lot of roller marks. Service: the waitress we had was super nice, but was often taking her time and didn't really check up on us (we were only one of two tables at the time), but may have been rough opening.

But the staff was incredibly welcoming right from the start, and that alone earns them five stars. You never know what to expect in a new neighborhood, but they set the tone immediately. The vibe of the restaurant is very comfortable. It is the kind of spot you walk into after a long day or a productive day and you just know you are about to eat something good. It feels like a family run place, even if it is not actually run by family. It has that warmth. You can tell it is an important part of the neighborhood. I even noticed pictures of community members on the wall, which says a lot. Now, the food. There is hot food, cold food, and plenty of items you can take home. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich, and let me tell you, it was the size of a skinny football. I am not exaggerating. It took me almost a day and a half to finish it. It tasted exceptional, and I actually had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting so I would not slip into a food coma. One tip, eat it while it is hot. That is when it is at its peak power. My friend agreed with me about the overall vibe and quality. If I am ever in the neighborhood again, I will gladly go out of my way just to try more of their dishes. You do not find spots like this easily. New York City has great food, but a place with this combination of warmth, quality, portion size, and charm is rare. In another city, this could easily be a reservation only spot packed every night. Here, it fits perfectly in the community. Great job to everyone there. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

It was 40 mins before closing on a Sunday, the complete staff still made us feel lived and welcomed. They went through the menu with us, they described anything that was needed. Let's get to the beautiful ambiance, we sat outside and had a nice romantic evening together. The food was beyond delicious. I got a chicken cutlet parm with vodka sauce on a huge hero. The flavor was on point, texture of vodka sauce was NOT overwhelming. The amount of mozzarella they put on it was perfect to where it had a nice even melt. My bride ordered an eggplant wrap drizzled with sweet balsamic glaze. Cant wait to have to go to NJ for something again just to enjoy this place one more time!

Instead, I was handed a social experiment in inequality. One side is clearly bigger, heavier, and living a better life than the other. How exactly am I supposed to divide this fairly without looking like the cheap friend who takes the larger piece? What makes this worse is that this was not cut by a new kid or someone learning the ropes. This was cut by one of the senior guys at the deli. The veteran. The supposed professional. Come on man, check your eyes. I literally felt robbed because I had to take the smaller half out of principle. No one should have to suffer like this over a sandwich. Food tasted fine, but the cut ruined the vibe. Do better. A straight line should not be this hard.

There were so many excellent options on Park Avenue that it was hard to select one, but we wound up settling on Suprema. The restaurant was an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and was, thankfully, very warm and cozy inside on that chilly evening. The service that we experienced throughout the night was also very friendly and gracious. After we were seated, we were told that the restaurant was BYO and that there was a liquor store across the street. I decided to quickly run over and grab a bottle of wine, since we had some time to enjoy our meal before the show started. In addition to the bottle of red, we began our dinner with a complementary bread basket and an appetizer to share. Sadly, the slices of bread were rather dry and hard, so I only indulged in a few bites. However, our Rice Ball starter was unbelievable! We received three massive, fried spheres of creamy risotto and gooey mozzarella that were sitting in a sweet, herbaceous basil pomodoro sauce. They were honestly the best arancini I thought I had ever had! For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Porcini, which included two large Bell & Evans boneless chicken breasts, served over a light, creamy golden potato puree. The poultry was topped with fresh, roasted cremini and porcini mushrooms, as well as a sweet wine and porcini glaze. It felt like an upscale, modern version of a chicken marsala. I adored every aspect of the dish, from the tender chicken to the aromatic mushrooms to the homestyle mashed potatoes (an item I do not even typically like). Suprema provided a stellar meal in a relaxed atmosphere that was the perfect pre-concert vibe we were looking for. Plus, the food was amazing, so we definitely made a wise choice in picking the place.

We also ordered a matzoh ball soup because I've never had it before. But the second I saw them microwave it in a plastic container, I knew I had made a mistake. It was basically just a matzoh ball in very salty chicken bouillon water. I'm sad that was my first matzoh ball soup experience but am not deterred from finding a real one elsewhere. Based on my previous visit and this one, it seems like you should just stick to a classic pastrami sandwich. It's big enough to share between two people. Next time, I'd like to dine in and eat it fresh. The sandwiches also come with a bunch of pickles, which was nice. Tip #1 - there is a parking lot but because there are so many stores and it's next to Bratek Deli, it's a nightmare. It did also happen to be Good Friday, so maybe that made it worse? I don't remember it being that bad the first time around. Tip #2 - I called ahead to place my order but still had to wait 15 minutes extra after the quoted time. They prioritize walk-in customers, so you might as well just order in store.
