Great views abs ambiance. Service is hit or miss. Some of the staff is great and some tend to disappear mid service, leaving you trying to flag down other wait staff or bussers to get something or even just the check. Sunset into dusk/night is best time. You get the full effect of the views. In terms of food. It wasn't bad at all, just nothing that was punch in the face kind of wow. The seafood seems fairly fresh and they make dishes to showcase the seafood. They have a few non-seafood items as well. Drinks look great. I wish the wine list by the glass was more extensive. Had enough options to pair well with food but more on the basic side. Likely would be back for other food items but may just enjoy food and drinks at the bar.
Our group of 4 enjoyed a Friday night at Molo's. Ample parking can be found across the street in a lot at no charge. We were about 15 minutes early for our reservation, but they immediately welcomed us without hesitation and escorted us to our table with a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline. (TIP: Request a seat at the windows) The 2nd floor was closed, however my wife said the view was better upstairs. AMBIENCE: You can't go wrong with floor-to-ceiling windows and the NYC skyline as your backdrop. Tables were spaced well and even with a full dining room, we had great conversation without having to "Scream" at each other. Lighting was perfect as it wasn't too bright or too dim. SERVICE: Very fast, efficient and pleasant. Water glass was never empty. We sat for about 3 hours and never felt rushed or like they wanted us out. FOOD: Authentic Mediterranean experience. The Fried Feta (Photo) tasted like it was straight from Santorini. The Lobster Fettuccine (Photo) was very filling with huge pieces of lobster including both claws. Crabcake was very fresh. VALUE: Some other reviews say that it was overpriced and I can understand the feeling. However for fine dining on a waterfront, the pricing was as expected. Especially for seafood. We would absolutely return to Molo's!
I had a fantastic dinner at Molos last night! Definitely sit outside when dining because the patio and view of the NYC skyline is spectacular. There's lots of lights to make the views even more special. The inside is just as beautiful. However, the patio is perfect! I would recommend booking an earlier dinner if you want to eat outside because it does become quite busy. There are so many great appetizer options on the menu. My friend and I tried the fried feta topped with pistachio and drizzled with honey. We also shared pita with eggplant dip. Both options were a big hit. You can't go wrong with fried feta! For dinner, we shared the Dover sole and Spanokorisotto. The Dover sole was marinated in lemon and butter. The potion sizes were decent, so you get your money's worth. The Spanokorisotto was a nice play on Spanokopita and risotto combined. We loved that! We finished our meal with dessert and really enjoyed the Galacktoboureko, which is a vanilla custard pie. The espresso martinis were delightful. If you're in the mood for Greek, check Molos out!
for the View, 1/2 for the Food -- but Who's Counting When Manhattan is Glowing in Front of You? If you want dinner *with* Manhattan instead of *in* Manhattan, Molos is your spot. It's basically a giant glass box perched right on the Hudson, staring straight at the skyline like it's trying to flirt with it. I swear Icould practically see Times Square blinking back at me. We got there at 6 PM -- perfect timing to watch the sun set behind the city and make you briefly forget about New Jersey traffic and your $10 valet fee (because, of course, there's no parking -- beauty has its price).This was a special "welcome home" dinner for my son, back to Jersey after college and a few years of wandering the states. The mood? Proud dad. The view? Movie set. The crowd? Birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, and at least one guy nervously clutching a ring box (good luck, buddy). Now, the food. Let's just say it's like the skyline: looks great from afar, fine up close, but you're mostly here for the view. The menu calls itself Greek seafood, and sure, there's octopus, branzino, and calamari doing their best impression of Santorini. It's... fine. Not bad, not life-changing -- just "average in a nice way." Cocktails were good -- strong enough to make me forgive a few culinary sins and toast to the incredible setting. Service was polite, professional, and didn't rush us, which I appreciated. Would I go back? Absolutely. Not for the food, but to feel like I own a multimillion-dollar penthouse for the price of dinner and valet. Pro tip: go before sunset, order a drink, and pretend you're in a lifestyle commercial.
Came by on a weekday for dinner without a reservation and was seated right away outside. Waiter was nice though the food and drinks both took quite the minute to come out. Food was good though I will say it's a bit on the pricey side. The lobster pasta was good though did hope for more than four pieces for the price. I will say those molos chips were great. Sea bass was good though there are bones so make sure to chew slow (rookie mistake on my end). The ambiance is the highlight with great views of the city. The outdoor area can be pretty windy though so something to keep in mind.
I've been to Molo's a few times over the years. The food is pretty good (although a little overpriced) and you can't beat the beautiful NYC views. They have a great outdoor patio with plenty of seating and a large indoor dining room. My husband and I dined here for dinner a few weeks ago and the service was insanely slow (which was odd because the dinner rush had mostly cleared out). The tuna tartare appetizer and oysters were delicious, and our entrees were fine (I got the Dover sole and he ordered the lamb chops, nothing too memorable). It's a good spot for outdoor dining but not top of our list to return to anytime soon.
This restaurant's view will take your breath away, from sunset into the night-- my parties wait-time for every part of the service was very long, so be prepared to spend hours here. Though our appetizers were satisfying, we found the oyster and mackerel risotto to be inedible - undefined risotto texture with no visible oysters and too much smoke and salt. The oysters had been infused into the risotto, we were told. Our group also ordered the lamb chops which were too salty. While mostly just main courses were lackluster, our truffle fries, lacked truffles. Even though our main courses were disappointing, the service was very responsive, the risotto was not on the check and we were given free dessert wine after voicing our complaints. We will be coming back for drinks and appetizers, and the view.
If you want to impress a date, this would be a good location to take them. The nyc skyline view is absolutely beautiful and I can't imagine how it looks at night. Some of the best Greek salad I've ever had, everything tasted super fresh. I got lobster Mac and it was different. The drinks were excellent as well. the only thing that was off was the service, it was a delayed due to an event happening downstairs. maybe the place is under staffed when there is an event going on. Regardless, I enjoyed the views and the eats and would recommend going there at least once to try it out.
The ambience here is always pleasant. Even in the colder months when they have the outdoor tent in place. As I mentioned, the martini was delicious. The lobster pasta was not what I expected. The waiter did explain that it was in a red cream sauce, but the fettuccine was a bit too al dente for me. The lobster was tender and plentiful, so no complaints there. The reason for three stars instead of five is because the waiter, Kalin, was so unpleasant. We sat there for 10 minutes before we were asked if we wanted the bottle of sparkling water you see in the photo. After dropping off the water, he took another 10 minutes to come back. He asked us what we would like to order but I had to prompt him to tell us about the specials for the day! It should be automatic, it is part of your job as a server. We watched him interact with other tables and his personality would always switch when coming back to ours. I did not have a chance to bring this to management's attention as I was thoroughly annoyed by the end of our meal. I will dine here again, and request not to be seated in his area !
A very delicious Greek-based restaurant with the option to select fresh fish from a large selection. The views of the city are amazing and you should ask for a table near the windows. You won't stop looking out. We had a ton of dishes (can't remember their names) and they were all good. One that stuck with me and had to order a second round, was the desert. It was a custard with a flaky top and covered with syrup (not very sweet. I promise). It was so yummy. The staff, Vasili, (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was really nice. He was Greek and recommended two great bottles of wine. He made the night even better by introducing us to a mastica drink which is made from tree sap (it smelled just like pine!). The place is a bit on the expensive ($200/person with drinks and tip) but well worth it.

Ordered take out. Asked steak to be medium rare. But they might have misheard and thought I said as well-done as you can make it (see photo). I get that it's hard to time everything when someone orders take out and the steak keeps cooking a bit after it's off the heat. By the 14th month of the pandemic they should have it down pretty well. I live a couple minutes down the road. Started on the food as soon as I got home. Good jaw workout though. To be fair, I've been there a couple times and this has never happened before. So the rating is splitting the difference. read more

The food and the service at Molos were both great, I will definitely be back! The staff were super friendly and everything we ordered tasted great! The restaurant is situated on the water with really nice views of Manhattan, offering seating either in the indoor dining room or outside on their deck. Start with the Avgolemono Soup or the Marouli Salad. If you like Octopus, definitely get this - maybe share it amongst the table. For an entree the Seafood & Orzo was fantastic, would highly recommend - even though all the options sounded really good so it makes deciding a little difficult. If you can save room for dessert, would recommend ordering the Galaktoboureko if you can! read more

As others have already said, we can't deny that it has an amazing view, fancy wine list, and decent food but there are several factors that made last night a disaster!! The restaurant was relatively empty at first. Therefore there is no justification for a TWO HOUR wait before our food was served. If the majority of their staff was swamped with the private party upstairs, that does not justify poor service downstairs! The food was ultimately slightly warm at best, far from hot. The prices are outrageous in relation to the portion size. Waiters took over an hour to refill water and 30-45 min from the time we ordered a drink to the time it was ultimately brought after having to ask TWICE. The waiter tried to sell us on higher priced dishes and understandably it's their job to do so and make suggestions but the condescending tone when several of us in our party chose to order something other than what he had suggested was obnoxious and unprofessional! One of the drinks (a simple Manhattan) nothing overly complicated had to be returned because the taste was absolutely awful! We had a group of 15 and NONE of us were pleased at all and the majority of us are far from overly picky (we know those types). We simply wanted the flavors and service we paid for! You are essentially paying for the view and to be seen at this trendy restaurant. I was far from blown away by the taste (or lack there of) of the food. Absolutely amazing experience! We were hosted very nicely. Front door lady Ece greeted us very friendly and with a big smile. The food was outstanding and with the view it became an unforgettable experience. Special thanks to the manager, Steve that made us felt like we're his guests rather than customers. I can see that there is an amazing community here. The fish was all fresh and tasted amazing. Bartender lady Zoey was very professional and friendly and loved the drinks that she made. I will definitely visit Molos whenever I find a time. Such a professional well-organized place with the Greek hospitality. read more

Great view on Hudson River. Worth going just for sites of River and Manhattan. Food was good but menu limited in options. Ordered scallops and not available at 1 pm as told out of stock. Service was good. Hostess was not attentive in seating us especially since we had children with us. read more
First, the view of NYC skyline is spectacular from the dining room. The menu selections are not extensive however the food is AMAZING! So we stayed in Weehawken for NYE and booked a late lunch at Molos after visiting the city. We had the Lobster Pasta, Seafood Pasta, the Calamari and the Lobster Bisque. ALL DELICIOUS! We were served a bread basket with Hummus and Olives which was also delightful! The service was exquisite, our waitress was super nice. I strongly recommend Molos if you're ever around. Even if you are in NYC, I think that it's worth the ferry ride on the Hudson to check out this neighborhood gem! read more

Parking is great they have their own lot across the street. Hospitality was great we were able to get a window seat no problem. The Menu did not have much of a selection. My wife ordered calamari for us and she has fish and I got duck breast for our main entrees. No complaints on the food we both enjoyed it. Of course the view was amazing! read more

Molo's offers an amazing view no matter where you sit. Though best view really is right by the window. We sat by the bar for cocktails before dinner. The chairs by the bar I must say (I'll minus 2 points) because bar stools are tres tres importante. You want comfort where you sit and these were not. I am a petite girl and I felt like a little girl in a high chair. My husband who is 5' 9" even said the same that he felt small. Okay, on to the second negative. I asked for a Casamigos Reposada margarita, no salt on the rocks. It wasn't a good margarita. And usually anything with Casamigos you can't mess up. This one was definitely not one of my best I've had. My husband ordered a Hendricks and Tonic, 2 limes. One sip he said it was gross and unlike mine which I kept, he sent it back. I am thinking the tonic water was either bad or they put seltzer in which was flat. Either way not good. Second Hendricks and tonic was MUCH better. It also took quite awhile for them to ask us what we wanted to drink and mind you the bar was not crowded. We were the only ones at the bar. What's with that? We sat at our table and the waiter was wonderful. We ordered the platter selection of spreads which was VERY good! Tzitiki, carp caviar, hummus, eggplant and spicy feta which were all outstanding and the pita was fresh. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table which was excellent. 2008 King of Dreams, really good. For the mains we ordered the fish and the prime rib aged ribeye. A bit too fatty for a choice peace of steak. It was disappointing. But let me compliment our waiter, he was truly great! An asset to the restaurant. Would I come back? They'd have to reschool their bartender so he can make a decent drink and maybe add some items to their menu. Ambience is beautiful and I would come back for desserts as well. read more

The grilled octopus had a fresh but flavorful taste, the lobster risotto, lamb & crab cakes were all very tasty. My boyfriend made a reservation here for my birthday last weekend. One of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. It's actually worth the hype, worth the while, and worth the money. I would come here again and I would most definitely recommend it to any of my friends. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing too and the wait wasn't bad, and everything went smoothly. Scenery wise it's a great location, price wise kind of expensive ...Open table reservations and a phone call follow up. No one acknowledged our anniversary as I saw servers saying happy birthdays . Food was good but not outstanding ,prices were higher but your paying for a view ..Waiters were attentive , they need fans or AC , spicy margarita was weak , the spread app was delish but expensive. Online menu and hand held one had different items , lobster pasta was very good. But my hubby did not enjoy the seafood orzo . Asked for window seat and was seated immediately so that was a plus but it also was not crowded . The club music does not fit the aesthetic of the decor . The view (and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout) is truly what makes this place great. I was visiting NJ for the weekend, and this location is convenient from NYC and and other parts of NJ. We had a 1pm brunch reservation, and were promptly seated. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't that crowded, especially considering the next day was a holiday. We started with the Pikilia, a platter of Mediterranean spreads (tzatziki, eggplant, feta), which was served with pita. All of the spreads were pretty good, and it was a nice portion to share amongst 4 people. We all had different dishes, including the smoked salmon Benedict, the truffle mushroom omelette, the crab burger, and a traditional Greek salad. The food was tasty and well-prepared, although there was nothing on the menu that really jumped out at me. I guess I was expecting to see some more traditional Greek dishes. The one con was that the service was very slow. Although I hate being rushed at the end of the meal, we had to flag down the waitress many times. Mehhh. Great view but not great service!! Our waiter lacked personality & was way more focused on leaving them treating us. Went out for a special birthday and wrote a note through opentable, hoping they would notify the server & even told the server about the birthday but nothing was written or even a candle. Food could be better, crab cake looked good but have had better & Filet Mignon was hella basic. At least it was edible. Only worth it for the view & location. read more
Soooo wanted to like this place, so sad. Brought my daughter and her boyfriend here tonight for his birthday dinner. Oy vey!! We had reservations but had to wait 30 minutes for our table even though there were tables open, they needed to be cleaned and there was no one cleaning them. Really at an expensive restaurant on a Friday night? Then all three of us at different times went up to the bar to attempt to buy a drink while waiting and they only had one bartender working and we weren't able to get a drink. I mean their cocktails are pretty expensive so you think they would hustle to make some money but..... NO. Then once we were seated it took the dude another 15 minutes to take our order for a cocktail, so we're all super thirsty by now and pretty annoyed. Don't make a girl wait that long for a cocktail on a Friday night! Now onto the food... This place is pricey and the menu looks decent. We did get a beet salad type appetizer that was pretty good. One person with me got the pre-Fixe menu which is part of restaurant week in Hudson County. He said it's some of the best seafood he's had so that's nice to hear. They have lemon potatoes they were outstanding. I ordered the lobster risotto and was not thrilled whatsoever and it's pretty hard to screw up lobster I think! The overall experience was pretty disappointing but we had fun just laughing at everything and the view is breathtaking. The meal cost me about 200 bucks so I certainly would've been a happier camper if I had a cocktail in hand earlier than I did Please know if you want to check them out for happy hour I think they have a good happy hour during the week and the view is spectacular so definitely don't rely on my experience. I can't imagine they would've been in business all this time if that's how they handle their customers ongoing. The restaurant has a great view, especially at sunset. And the dessert which name is "Galakoboureko" is a 5 stars dessert but tbh the main courses are not good. We ordered the seafood plateau, Molos chips and lobster risotto and didn't like any of those. Because of the view and the dessert I would recommend this place, best way is just ordering appetizer&drink and enjoying the view. read more

Though the restaurant presented a trendy chic ambiance with nice views of NYC, as well as nice dinner presentation, my partner and I did not find the initial service welcoming nor the food very spectacular. We did not find the food flavorful at all considering the cost of everything. Nice to look at but blah. I made reservations for our anniversary 1-2 weeks in advance for Saturday early evening, September 18 and specifically requested seating by the window (or outdoors) and upon arrival, though the hostess was going to try to accommodate us per our reservation, the manager popped up and said there was no seating available, we were going to have to wait at the bar. I pushed back a little and he showed us a table towards the back of the restaurant nowhere close to any windows and stated the 4-seat tables near the window were absolutely reserved for 4 person reservations. He eventually found us a 2-seat table near the window. At this point, I'm wondering why didn't he bring us to this table from the start? Why was seating us such a big deal when I made reservations with specific requests and noted it would be an anniversary dinner? What's the point of reservations if they're never honored?? And we come to notice later while we're having dinner that another couple indeed sat at a 4-seat table near the window. I certainly do feel there is some racial discrimination and preference at play. I don't like being treated this way nor businesses that continue antiquated racist behaviors. read more

I gave this place an extra star solely due to the view. Otherwise, this place is a solid two-star disappointment. My husband and I been to Molos for dinner a handful of times--with the hope each time that the service would be better. No such luck. Waitstaff is inattentive and rude. Each time we've been here, we've waited over 15 minutes just to receive a drink menu or water. As we speak, we've been here over 30 mins and haven't received our drinks (two glasses of wine. Not like anyone needs to mix anything). We received our saganaki but it looked disgusting (see photo) and congealed almost immediately. We aren't coming back. Edit: we've also been waiting for bread for over an hour. Edit #2: removing two stars because my husband and I both got food poisoning, we suspect from the crab cake. DO NOT EAT HERE. You'll wait forever for food that will destroy you. read more

Invited for a birthday dinner, no one in the party anticipated the price point for a majority of the menu options. I had researched the menu and knew the prices however, I went anyway and figured I'd order an appetizer. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing and the view is even better. That was the main selling point for the reservation. My boyfriend and I ordered the grilled octopus, fried calamari, and meatballs to share. Although the portions were small, they were mighty. Everything I tasted was fresh and delicious. Others in the party had mixed feelings about items they ordered. I observed other customers choosing their preferred fish option from platters brought to their tables, I think that would be worth exploring on another visit. read more

My friends and I came from brunch on a Saturday afternoon. The spot is beautiful and right on the water - we wanted to sit outside but they were prepping for a wedding. However, the inside was just as beautiful! Floor to ceiling windows - it was truly breathtaking. For some warning, the menu is very seafood heavy. Be prepared if you're not a seafood lover! For brunch we ordered tzatziki and calamari. Both were phenomenal. I then ordered steak and eggs for my entree - it was also delicious. I also hear they have a wonderful happy hour - I'd love to come back for that! I will be back soon. read more

I tried make a reservation for me and my husband a week ahead for window seat but unfortunately the answer was no. I could wait two weeks or a month but the receptionist said no. Then who will reserve the seats for the customers by what? Just random?

What's the dress code?
Sunday brunch is more casual. But I would dress up for a date. Nice jeans or slacks.
Are there many vegetarian/vegan options available? I see 1 or 2 salads possibly. Not sure if anyone has experience with this at Molos.
Molos restaurant menu is largely based, on seafood but it does offer a couple of vegetarian options.
