Saw this place was super busy and decided to stop in. Apparently it's new to Boston. It's located right on the corner of Chinatown near the gate, and pretty small inside. They have a variety of teas, hot and iced. Many different flavors as well. Menu was a little confusing but I decided to go with the snowy jasmine. As you ordered at the self-service you could add toppings for an extra charge, so we weren't sure if our drinks came with all those things or not. The barista assured us that's if you want extra on the side, as long as the description originally said it was included. My snowy jasmine was good. I got it iced and went with their recommendations, less ice and less sugar. The jasmine tea was flavorful and they put a whipped cream on top with what tasted like pecan pieces. It was super busy inside so we waited a little bit. They had a lot of staff making drinks and what looked like a sophisticated operation, but it still took a while. Nonetheless it was good and I'd be intrigued to try something else.

Won't gate keep - it was a pleasure trying out Molly Tea! Quality tea with a convenient location if you take the T to Chinatown for food & drink. No frills location - order ahead & pick up when ready. Service is great -- they wait to put the cold foam until you arrive, so it stays fresh and delicious. Price is on par with the quality and the going rate of milk tea these days. Worth giving them a try!

This is a very good spot! I got the peach oolong milk tea with jellies and matcha foam. It was delicious! Despite being a popular spot, that wait wasn't super long. Would recommend!

This place is a small factory. I got something I had no idea what it was and it was kinda gross. The cheese foam made my stomach extremely upset. Still took like 10-15 of waiting around to get our drinks when we were inside the place. Service basically did not interact with customers.

The boba was delicious! The process of receiving the drinks was kind of chaotic. There's an announcement any time an order is ready but it's just a robotic voice saying numbers which I found a little overwhelming and not entirely helpful because there's a screen showing what orders are being prepared or ready anyways. But hey, inclusivity! The waiting area is tight and cramped but most boba places have this issue. Overall a good beverage and fine experience.

Molly Tea has finally landed in Boston. Lots of people waiting outside for their order number to be called. I placed an order online but the mobile status doesn't really update so you do have to stop by a few times to see if you were called, should you decide to leave rather than wait directly outside. After placing my order, I waited 30 minutes. I thought the tea was pretty strong here, compared to other places. It's not what I personally like but this seems to interest a lot of others. I'd be interested in trying some of their other drinks. Their straws are pretty unique. If you know you're going to be here to get a drink, would definitely recommend ordering ahead and just picking up.

So happy that Molly Tea is now in Boston! I've only had it once in New York a couple months ago but became an instant fan, so I was thrilled to check out the Boston location today. Be warned, the wait is long. I ordered in person and waited 40 min to get one drink. Upon perusal of the menu I was really saddened to see that they did not offered the vegan oat milk drinks. I'm not vegan or lactose but really enjoyed how light the oat milk jasmine tea was and the orange slice really was the icing on the cake! The oat milk teas are available in New York but not sure if it's regional or seasonal. I got the snowy jasmine with recommended sugar and ice level. It was pretty good but if you're not a whipped cream fan normally, just try the jasmine milk tea. Hoping this place dies down a bit because the wait is too much for me. If you're not in a rush though, I recommend!! Note: the snowy drinks have a whipped cream topped with roasted pecans on top. Those with nut allergies may need to double check there's no cross contamination.

3 hrs of waiting because first day of the mango jasmine drink and the free magnet/stickers if you order in person.

I am very impressed of their service even when there is such a huge line! They are always packed but we went on a night when the line wasn't out the door. They were still pretty packed inside. They managed people very well and service was great. We got our drinks in a timely manner even though there were so many people. The drinks itself were so refreshing and the jasmine tea tastes really good. Definitely one of the better tea places in Chinatown.

The first Molly Tea in MA, FINALLY! They're located in Chinatown across the street from the Hot Pot Buffet & right next to the Chinatown Gate. We went yesterday (12/11) for the first day of their soft opening at opening time, 11am. There was already a line haha but honestly, the wait wasn't so bad. Total wait time overall was ~30 min. The wait time later in the day did look insane though. My first introduction to MollyTea was the one in NYC's Chinatown! We've been HOOKED since and to be honest... we were making weekly trips JUST for some Snowy Jasmine haha. So, I'm definitely elated to finally have MollyTea here, & a second location already coming to the Allston area soon. My favorites to get: -snowy jasmine -***pistachio white champaca coconut (FAVE!) -premium champaca matcha I recommend their jasmine tea drinks if you want something more floral BUT if you want more tea taste, champaca drinks are great! Pistachio white champaca coconut is my go-to because it tastes SO refreshing & there's nothing else like it! Highly recommend!

My favorite tea spot is FINALLY in Boston!! I love the jasmine milk tea. That's all I ever need and want. So fragrant and so delicious. I did try the pistachio jasmine but it wasn't for me. I didn't think the flavors meshed well. Staff is really friendly and was efficient in getting the drinks out

So happy to see Molly Tea has finally arrived in Boston! As expected, the line was absurd and the store was cramped. The staff do their best to be as efficient as possible but did package the drinks and straws haphazardly since they were a little dirty upon receipt. That said, their drinks are great. Always get their recommended 70% sweetness with less ice to let the tea speak for itself. You cant go wrong with their #1 Jasmine Milk Tea. It's so fragrant and doesn't need the frills of added boba. Would I wait in a 40 minute line again? Probably not. But would I come back when it's slower? Definitely.

I was so excited to hear that Molly Tea opened in Boston. I tried it when I visited New York and the Boston location didn't disappoint. I went to the grand opening and the line was pretty long and it took me 25 minutes to get inside to order and another 10 minutes to get my drink. For how many people were in line and how many drinks they were making, the line wasn't too long. Once you get inside the store, the smell of jasmine is everywhere. The store did a pretty good job with directing traffic to make sure that there wasn't too many people in the store and to organize the line. Most people waited for their drink outside the store and there was a speaker that called out numbers and a giant tv screen displaying order numbers as well. I tried multiple drinks and my favorite drink is the premium jasmine milk tea. It's a very strong jasmine tea flavor and it's very floral forward. The recommended/default sugar and ice levels were 70% sugar and less ice and it was perfect. The drinks were not too sweet and you can really taste the tea flavors. Molly Tea is a great addition to the boba stores in Boston and I can't wait to try more flavors.

We walked into a space that mixes communal tables, stadium-style seating, and smaller spots to sit, making it a place where you can stop in for a quick drink or stay longer with a laptop. The interior design is one of the biggest highlights, giving the cafe a more elevated experience compared to a typical coffee shop. The tiered seating in particular creates a visual dynamic that makes the room feel more intentional than your standard coffee counter. The drinks are the main focus here, especially the matcha, hojicha, and espresso-based options. We ordered the hojicha latte, which was one of the strongest items on the menu, with a deep roasted flavor and a smooth texture. The matcha has a more traditional earthy profile and leans less sweet, which works well if you prefer a more authentic matcha taste. The drinks are on the expensive side, but the quality of the ingredients and preparation make it feel more like a specialty cafe experience rather than a standard coffee stop. The food and dessert options add another reason to visit, with items like the egg sandwich, quiche, macarons, and hojicha desserts available depending on the day. The menu is smaller compared to a full brunch cafe, but it pairs well with the drinks and gives the visit more of a cafe-and-pastry feel. Service is friendly and the staff are knowledgeable about the drinks, which helps when choosing between the different Japanese tea options. The cafe can get busy, and seating is limited compared to the number of people who come through, but the layout gives it a unique character. Ogawa Coffee works well for specialty coffee and tea lovers looking for a more intentional cafe experience in Boston, especially if you enjoy Japanese-style drinks and a thoughtfully designed space.

Honest thoughts: The cakes were indeed beautifully crafted, but $13 was overpriced. The cake quality didn't meet the steep price. The cafe was self-service and some furnitures were quite worn out. It was aggressive to raise $4 within a year.....It would be more reasonable to charge at or under $10. *Autumn Leaf $13 * This seasonal special was my favorite. Spiced sponge and pecan crunch were wrapped inside the subtly sweet maple mousse, with a hint of banana flavor coming through midway. The spiced cake tasted like fall. *Geometric Apple $13 The geometric apple is their bestseller but I found the flavors didn't match well with one another. The outer layer was cheesecake mousse, while the center was filled with apple compote, caramel, and chocolate cake. The cake was quite sweet, and the sourness from apple put me off. The chocolate crunch inside was too hard to eat.

We walked into a minimalist and calm space with enough personality to make it comfortable for a longer stay, the kind of room where the lighting and the seating encourage you to settle in rather than rush out. The dalgona coffee is one of the standout orders and delivered the creamy, slightly bitter contrast that makes the format work when it is done well. We had it with oat milk, which smoothed out the richness without losing the depth of the coffee underneath. The matcha was another high point, aromatic and grassy in a way that reflects quality sourcing, and notably not overly sweet. The hojicha with hojicha foam was on rotation during our visit, layered and smooth in a way that made it an easy recommendation for anyone who leans toward roasted, nutty flavors. Prices across the menu are genuinely affordable for the quality. The loose leaf teas can be rebrewed multiple times, which added real value to the experience as we settled in for a while. Service was warm and unhurried, with staff who clearly know the drink menu well and are happy to talk through the options without any pressure. For a handcrafted drink in a space that feels like it was built for people who actually care about what they are drinking, The Sipping Room earns a spot on the short list. We would come back for the dalgona coffee and a quiet afternoon with a rebrewed pot of tea.

There's a wide range of tea options, including matcha and chai. I don't know if they always allow this, but our servers let us switch teas throughout the service so we could try multiple. We took advantage of this and got to try two pots of tea each. The tower was also delightful, with scones, a selection of finger sandwiches, and an array of sweets. We went to our tea at 10am, so we actually were stuffed and had to take several of our desserts to go. At $72 per person, I feel that this is a pretty good price for a very nice tea, especially with the loveliness of the venue and the excellent service.
