This place is located in the west loop area. The staff were friendly and attentive. They have a wide selection of cupcakes that you can choose from. I decided to go with the butter, scotch and the cream Brulé,. The cream Brulé is ridiculously amazing and I highly recommend. The butterscotch was not as tasty it was a little dry. The prices are decent. There are plenty of tables where you can sit down and enjoy your delicious treats. The decor is nice and fun. They have street parking where you can pay to park. This place is amazing! I love cupcakes! They are one of my favorite desserts and having moved from Los Angeles, I've been looking for a great dessert place, and THIS IS IT. I knew I was going to be in the area rather late and that by the time I got there, they might be out of some flavors, so I called in the early afternoon and put my 6 on hold. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and offered for me to pay over the phone or in person when I picked up. After deliberating which to get, I settled on: -peach cobbler: this has vanilla cake with brown sugar strussel, filled with peach cinnamon purée, topped with whipped cream and a sliver of peach. This is hands down the BEST cupcake I have ever had in my life! This thing is just sooooo good! It's no wonder they won cupcake wars with it. Seriously, if you're torn between what to get, just get this. You will be so happily surprised! I love peaches and peach cobbler is one of my favorite pies, but I had no idea a cupcake could be so good. It is balanced so well between fruit sweetness and the creaminess of whipped cream, and yet it is so light. I could eat several of these in a row! It's unlike any cupcake you've had before. -salted butterscotch caramel: wow! This is my second favorite. This has butterscotch pudding inside and salted buttercream frosting and caramel drizzle on top. In general, I'm a fan of butterscotch and caramel, but I love it when the sweetness is cut by salt. I mean- such a perfect rounded out flavor profile. Sweet and salty, you can't go wrong. So, when I read that they had this cupcake, I went for it, and I'm glad I did. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. It was sooo moist and just the perfect sweetness to salt ratio. -cookie dough: this is good, but not my fav. The first cupcake I ever had that had cookie dough inside was in LA at cafe23 and that was amazing. This one, is good, but it's not excellent. Maybe, that's because I had such high expectations of this being my favorite, that I let myself down. That or, their other cupcakes just blew this one out of the water. - crème brûlée: I was pleasantly surprised by this. The staff member working said this was his favorite and I can see why. It's not my favorite, but I get the appeal. Personally, I love crème brûlée. I almost always get it when it's on the menu, and that may be why I liked but didn't love this. I would get it again, if I were hankering for a crème brûlée, but I would get the peach cobbler or the butterscotch everyday. -chocolate decadence: this has chocolate cake, with chocolate moose, topped with chocolate ganache. It is essentially the best chocolate cake you've ever had, except in the shape of a cupcake. I preordered for Thanksgiving and got 4 mini cheesecakes and a French Silk pie. The two stars are for the cheesecakes which were good. However, the French Silk pie was the single worst pie I have ever had. The crust was oddly tough, chewy, and tasteless. It was a real struggle to extract a slice even after repeated cuts with pie server and a knife. The filling was not identifiable as chocolate. If it weren't for the fact that the filling was light brown, I would have doubted there was any chocolate added at all. When I showed up at 9am on Saturday, the door was locked. An employee saw us and unlocked the door to let us know they didn't open until 10am. When we pointed to the sign on the building, it stated hours were 9am on Saturday's. The employee appeared confused and stated she wasn't ready to open and closed and locked the door. We waited 20 minutes before the doors were unlocked and the store was opened to pickup the order.
