The food was delicious! The corn ribs were to die for!!!! Thank you to my waitress for suggesting the corn ribs, I ordered an extra plate to go! I came for the skirt steak and it did not disappoint!

Yelp Review: I recently visited for Sunday brunch and had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was lively and unique, especially with the fun fake microphones they provide for singing--such a great vibe! We started with the steak empanada, which was decent, but the cilantro sauce really stole the show. The calamari as an appetizer didn't impress me much--I'd recommend it with marinara sauce instead. My husband enjoyed the chicken, and the plantains were delicious! I definitely plan to return, perhaps for a friend's birthday or to catch a game with some drinks. Speaking of drinks, they were excellent! I had a classic lychee martini while my husband opted for the mojo punch; neither drink was weak, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was super friendly, but just a heads up about the photo ops--each picture costs about $22. They definitely got me with that! Overall, I had a great experience and will go back!

I was able to walk in without a reservation and be seated for brunch on a Saturday without issues. This was great. The staff were very fast and friendly. I tried the tres Golpes which were very appetizing and filling. My mom tried the maduros waffles and wings. The waffle was okay. Great concept but just okay. My niece also tried the wings with mango-Valentina glaze. They were seasoned well and cooked properly. I'll come back to try more food options

I wasn't going to be in town for my birthday so my friend said she wanted to meet up before I left. She suggested we meet at Mojo RVC at 6:00pm, normally she is always late, so I arrived about 15 minutes after her. Staff greeted me and proceeded to take me where my friend was sitting. As I'm walking inside, I noticed a chair with balloons attached. Can you imagine how surprised I was to see a table full of people there to celebrate my Birthday !! It was a Tuesday and the Dinner Menu is "Prix- Fixed" at $55.00 a person for parties of 6 or more. The appetizers are served family style, so everyone at the table were able to share. The main course selection variety is extensive, lots of entrees to choose from. Most of my party ordered the Churrasco grilled steak, the others ordered the Salmon al Ajilllo and one had the Chicken Latino Fried Rice. After the food arrived the manager came and asked if we liked the food. The lighting transitions from dark then neon, then soft light, which effected my pics. Customer service and food was great: 5/5

Ropa Vieja

Our friend who enjoys Caribbean fusion enthuastically wanted to try this place from word of mouth. Five out of a reservation party of six could not sit despite explaining to staff that one in our party (the enthusiast) has a disability. There was not enough room for anyone to wait st the bar. Our server was super professional asking whether anyone has a food allergy. They asked twice whether this was a special occasion so that a staff member could take pictures. Staff thankfully took back glasses of water because the presence of debris. The drinks were fair. The oils in the tortilla chips the guacamole tasted a tad rancid. Everyone's dish had an excellent presentation. The parboiled rice was perfectly mounded in the center of the plate but did not taste authentic. I could tell that great time and care went into the Ropa Vieja which was well seasoned. The best part of the meal was the platanos maderos. Our server was excellent and helpful.

Fried Calamari

We did the army brunch atmosphere the decor ambience the service drinks. The waitress was amazing. The DJ DJ the music vibe was outstanding! I wasn't that crazy about the food the calamari was ok and chemi chicken was decent. Next time I go I would love to try something else but there's only certain things I eat on the brunch menu. It was a great vibe singing good music and it wasn't that crowded today I would definitely go back for the mojo punch and the music for sure and maybe try wings next time or something different. Definitely a must go on a Saturday or Sunday but everyday they have a special night date night paint night and so on.

My very first time dining at Mojo RVC. I truly enjoyed brunch! My waiter Vicky was ON POINT! The food was average. Wings, calamari, salmon, guacamole along with a few other dishes. All the food was ok but nothing to make me come back just for the food. The vibe was top tier! The DJ did his thing and Omar was on point ensuring everything ran smoothly. I would definitely go back!

Love this spot! Came for brunch. Delicious food, live DJ and good drinks. Service is quick and they stay on top of things. As soon as we finished food, someone came to clear the table. Our server Cinaya was great! She consistently attended to our table. Best service I've had at a restaurant in a while! Nice vibe, the place itself is beautiful. Floral ceiling, flashing lights, real party vibe. This is a great place to come to for a birthday brunch/ dinner. The DJ plays both Spanish and English music.

A few years back, I read great things about this restaurant in Newsday and saw plenty of solid reviews on Yelp. So this Labor Day, I was excited to finally try it out. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. To be fair, the front desk staff and service were excellent. The place was lively, loud, and had a fun vibe. But the food? Totally missed the mark. The fried calamari soft and cold like a witch's tit, with the breading falling off and the squid chewy--like biting into a bad memory. I ordered the chicken chimichurri, which came with black beans, rice, and maduros. The chicken breast was small but tender; still, it had almost no flavor. Just a tiny strip of sauce on top. The beans were equally bland, and I ended up reaching for hot sauce just to give the plate some life. The drinks were weak. If you're going for music and a couple of watered-down cocktails, maybe this spot is for you. But if you actually want a good meal, you'd be better off at Applebee's. Directions please.

Ug this place was disappointing. There were 3 of us eating. Should have realized it was the wrong spot with a rude host. We didn't have an appointment but they needed my name and number. The place was maybe a 1/4 full. We were seated right away. We each ordered an alcoholic drink. The wine my friend ordered tasted bad. Our waitress replaced it with a delicious passion fruit daiquiri right away. We ordered fried calamari, chips & guac, vegan ceviche and their dinner special paella. We just shared everything. Food came out pretty quick. The guac did not taste good. The calamari was really thick and came with a 1oz container of sauce. Just not enough sauc for the amount of calamari. Some pieces were crunchy and others not so much. They charged $30+ for paella but the plate wasn't all that big. It tasted bland. Like nothing special. Oddly, our favorite thing was the vegan ceviche. I did enjoy the decor of the place. Not really a fan of all the fake plants. I really disliked the loud music. We were sitting in front of each other trying to talk but ended up just yelling at each other. Also, I didn't like that the only entrance and exit was through the back or parking lot side. The door towards the street was for an emergency exit only. The staff was ok. Doing the bare minimum. No one checked if we needed anything else. If we needed another drink....staff was good about clearing plates and stuff though. Had to flag down one of the bus boys to get a refill for the tartar sauce of the calamari. I asked for the check and it was surprisingly higher than expected. They charged us $2 for more tartar sauce. They did credit us for the bad wine. They decided to include a 18% gratuity tip for themselves. Then when they charged my card the machine asked if I wanted to tip more lol. For the 3 of us everything came to about $180. Thought that was a bit crazy for what we got.

First time going to this location, I usually go to Forrest Hills. I loved the fact that there was parking and the ambiance was nice. The place was bright and dim at the same time. The waiters were very accommodating especially since we had a late reservation and were the last ones to leave. The food was delicious .My family and I would definitely return.

Joey T.

The food was great, especially the French toast, it's basically bread pudding! Yum! The vibe was amazing, you must go to the Sunday Brunch! Service was good, could have been faster but they were busy, gratuity is included so heads up.

How much is the all you can eat tacos?? Is it worth it?

Does this place need reservation for brunch ? And how much is bottomless brunch?

Is it kid friendly?

I wouldn't bring a young child here especially on Friday and Saturday nights. I do feel it's more of an adult vibe establishment.

Do I need reservations?

It's great to have one you can go straight to there website and book one online. When I got there they asked if I had one. But they were willing to still accommodate parties that didn't have one.

Food is solid Jamaican fare. Oxtails are meaty and tender. With traditional rice and Peas, which could've used a likkle more love, as the rice was overcooked and not many peas. With gravy, almost mush but seasoned good tho. Appreciated the Steamed carrots. Needed more. Also, only came with 1 small broccoli stem. Plate was majority rice. Jerk Chicken is heavily browned, seasoned well but baked not grilled. If it is grilled, its a gas grill & no Pimento leaves, while also being buried in tons of sauce. Carrot cake was delicious. Light and not overly sweet. Golden raisins give a nice touch! Frosting is decadent but not cloying. Honestly, would give a 3.8 vs solid 4 but Service was exceptional and efficient. Overall, would definitely revisit. More for an intimate dining experience vs. large group.

Salmon nicely seasoned. A drizzle of Pepper sauce kicked it up a notch. Nice spot for date night; girls day, families
