I have ordered from here before and never had an issue until today. The lady that took my order didn't give the proper information on what the arepa came with even though I asked and mentioned that when I have preserved before it has either cheese guac etc. When my son went to pick it up we came home to a piece of steak and a plain arepa on it. I called and I was told that the steak arepa was plain and I can go get another "steak arepa" but that will cost me $2 more for each. Never going there again. read more

Takeout Date: September 6, 2025 I opted for doordash delivery of Arepalicious Express while I was at work. I got the empanadas and the beef arepa. I ate the empanadas during the day and the arepa later on. The arepa was great, the sauce, the beef, the arepa itself was so delicious. I wasn't really impressed with the empanadas though. They reminded me of Jamaican Beef Patties more than an empanda. I didn't really like the filling inside of either of them. Everything that I have tasted here is delicious. The beef, steak, and chicken arepas are tasty and well portioned and the shrimp with steak arepas are my favorite. A small family-owned business in RVC. There are a bunch of fancy dishes such as the Bandera Paisa and Bustec A Caballo that I must try. read more

Two months later still going strong! Came in on a Sunday afternoon, music was playing and it was quiet. Picked a seat sat down with my family and it became a wonderful feast. The service was great young man was very attentive and took great care of us. Ordered empanadas that are still wort every bite. I ordered beef and chicken and they remain large in size, full of flavor and the side sauces always complete the dish. I order a fried ribs bean casserole and it was just what I was looking for on a chilly Sunday. The beans had the ribs soaking with the mixing of flavors, a generous helping of rice I was in comfort food heaven. Also ordered carne asada which was delicious and grilled chicken. Food came out quick portions are still generous. I am adding this spot to my Sunday eats it was great after service meal. Still a 5/5 star local dining experience. read more

Welcome to Rockville Centre! So happy to have a new Colombian spot close to home. I had the mini arepa sampler from Arepalicious at Queens Night Market before, but nothing else. I was very excited when I checked the Instagram page and saw Arepalicious has pandebono and buñelos. Unfortunately, there was no pandebono today, but I will be sure to check back again soon! I dined in on a Sunday morning and it was very quiet. There was plenty of street parking nearby. My boyfriend and I each ordered a delicious coconut lemonade. We ordered 1 surf & turf mini arepa (which is 3 pieces) to share, a chicharron & chorizo arepa, and one order of the chorizo & chicharron tostones (3 pieces) which comes with guacamole. The portions were huge. My favorite was the chicharron & chorizo arepa. There was so much cheese! Every bite was delicious. My boyfriend's favorite was the chorizo & chicharron tostones. I visited Colombia in 2022, so I was very excited to reminisce about that trip with some good cuisine. Thankfully Arepalicious did not disappoint. I arrived to street parking in a quaint little neighborhood on a Monday afternoon. When I entered I was greeted by the vibrant mural/wallpaper (not sure) of the bright colors of the walled city. The shop was empty and the lovely Anahis, was taking a moment to have lunch. She immediately greeted me and spent quite sometime helping me figure out what I wanted. At the time they were only open for a week and a half so we had a little learning curve moment together that we laughed about. I purchased a Colombian soda and chicken empanada to try while I waited for my pickup order. There was a small wait, as the food is made to order. As I waited I took in all the different menu offerings displayed on the digital menus and the traditional Colombian snacks and treats available to purchase at the counter. My traditional Colombian soda was cold and refreshing and brought right back to Cartagena. My chicken empanada was fresh, well seasoned and NOT dry. Thankfully because sometimes that can be the case. The accompanying green hot sauce was amazing. You should seriously consider putting that "ish" on everything. Thank you to the very lovely and pleasant Anahis, who was very accommodating as I unintentionally interrupted her lunch. Arepalicious offers great value for the money. The food is delicious and the offerings are diverse and plentiful. There is a great value platter that offers steak, grilled chicken, different sausages, mini potatoes, plantains, and the list goes on. It can feel family of 8. A brand new dine-in & to-go place with delicious classic and creative arepas. The place is new and super clean, with some solid modern decor. There's seating all through, with a counter by the window and tables and chairs. You can order your food to go, or eat in and they'll bring the food to your table. The staff is super friendly, eager to recommend some things from the menu and just to chat. The food is the real star here. I ordered the arepa sampler which had three different arepas to try out their styles. All three were really good, perfectly cooked, and super flavorful. The arepa itself was thick and fully and delicious, and the toppings worked really well together. On another visit, I had the Steak Arepa Cone which was absolutely incredible. It's a deep fried arepa that's actually cone shaped, and the dough itself was perfectly made. It's filled with really flavorful and perfectly cooked steak, and covered in a really good sauce. We tried this spot because of an event and fell in love with it. The food is absolutely delicious! It's very chill and has a good amount of seating. We ordered a few things, including empanadas, arepas con queso, and chicharron bean casserole. Our waitress was very kind and helpful with recommending dishes. The empanadas were delicious! We tried the Hawaiian, Chicken, and Guava and Cheese. They were all delicious! I loved the arepas con queso. We tried the Fried Pork Belly Skin and Guacamole, which was just amazing! It was bursting with flavor and was just so good!! I highly recommend this! Last but not least was the Chicharron Bean Cassarole, which was full of flavor and interesting to say the least. It came with a side of sweet plantains, rice, arepa, and avocado. I enjoyed it and thought it was a generous and filling portion. Popped in for lunch this past cold & rainy Sunday and warmed up with some coffee, bandeja paisa and empanadas. Located on a quiet street in Rockville Centre, this cozy hidden gem boasts some incredible flavors, neighborly vibes and attentive service. The portions are rather large, especially with the bandeja paisa. It was split amongst the two of us and there was still enough to pack up and have for lunch the next day. I love the location as live super close but even if you don't, it's worth the hike! Located a short walk from the LIRR as well, so it's super convenient to get to. read more

So I just happened to be in Rockville Center because I had a doctor's appointment. And suddenly - arepas!! I gotta say, this restaurant seriously has one of the best arepas in New York. Although the interior is a little small, the vibes are welcoming! Great Latin music playing on the TV. The guy working there was friendly. Nice decorations and Colombian flags. For lunch, I ordered the beef and cheese arepa with tostones on the side. Plus a blackberry smoothie to drink. The arepa was so delicious!! Nice cheese pull with a hint of sweetness. The beef was flavorful and had a very generous portion. I thought the price of everything was reasonable for the portions. The tostones were fried perfectly. I liked the green sauce that came with the tostones on the side. The smoothie was sweet and thick. Exactly how I would like it :) I can't wait to bring my family here to try this place! Great place! Service is wonderful our server was friendly and charismatic. The whole place was clean and had nice decorations. Was not a big place so the seating area was tight. In terms of food, My friend and I definitely ordered a bit too much for just the two of us but I must say the rice and beans we loved it. They are generous with portion size so next time I will get small lol. Tasted great with just the plain arepa with cheese but next time I wouldn't get extra cheese the normal amount was more than enough. I underestimated the size of the arepa I thought it would be a lot smaller but no it was larger than my hand. The chorriperro was okay I wouldn't really get it again just was too much and tasted more like chorizo. The sugarcane lemonade was refreshing would get again. The limonada de coco was okay not my favorite. My friend got the steak arepacone and he stated it was pretty good and that if he had just ordered that alone it would be filing. Their arepas are delicious itself. The beef on top was generous and flavorful. It was alot i brought half of it home and my husband attacked it hahaha i also tried out their coconut lemonade, perfectly tart and sweet. The coconut added a nice balance to the tartness. If you're a fan of Brazilian limonda and Egyptian lemonade, you'd love their coconut lemonade. Star of the show was the guava and cheese empanada. It was so good!! That is a MUST! I also order 2 chicken empanadas and two beef. They were so generous with the filling. The service was great too! Very sweet and friendly. Gave me great recommendations. While the customer service at Colombia Restaurant was great, the chicken empanadas we purchased were extremely dry. It was close to closing time, and they only had two chicken empanadas left. We were charged $3.25 each for food that seemed to have been sitting out all day. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was disappointing, and we will not be returning to this establishment. Been a big fan of their ozone park location and was super hyped when I found out they were opening a location on Long Island. Came through for opening week and was not disappointed. The restaurant was off the main area in Rockville but quickly found street parking. The store was very nice and much smaller than the ozone park location hence the express name. We were greeted right away and checked out the menu to see what we wanted to try. We opted with a bandeja tipica, queens night market fries and white rice and beans for my extremely picky child. Everything was fantastic, the food came out very fast. Everything had such a great flavor to it and went well. The fries were great and reheated nicely as the portion size was substantial. The only thing I was disappointed in was I ordered an arepa cone to go and when I got home it was not in the bag, breakfast wasn't the same however we will definitely be back and I will eat all the cones. read more

Welcome to the neighborhood. While RVC has a long list of Mexican and TexMex restaurants, we don't have much in the way of Columbian food, until now. Their arepas are exactly what you'd hope for; pillowy, cheesy, and warm. However, I tend to find myself gravitating towards the topped-tostones. Delicious, salty, savory fried green plantain, topped with a variety of toppings. My wife also loves the shredded chicken, which seems to be only available topped on an arepa, and not in any other dish, which is confusing. We wish it would come in a rice dish or something else, because it's sooo good! I will say, though, that I did not care for their empanadas. I found them a little too oily and over-cooked the time I got them. In-store, they also have a variety of latin-american snacks and desserts on sale, which I will have to try at some point. They've already become a regular on our "takeout wheel" for weekend dinners, and i look forward to sampling more of the menu. read more

The food here is so amazingly good, you really need to try the food here!! We started with the mini arepas sampler and the tostones with shrimp. If we had known we would have stopped there because that is perfect for lunch but based on the pictures we thought they would be a single bite and they are actually a very nice portion. We were smart enough to order a single entree the entraña and shrimp. Wow it's a lot of food served with rice and these really flavorful beans (maybe had some pork) and small yellow potatoes. Before I speak on the menu I would like to mention what makes me a happy customer. A clean restaurant is essential. Many do not recognize the importance of cleanliness today. If you take a close look or even from a distance most restaurants are filthy. From their entrances to their exits and everything in between. So when I walked into Arepalicious the other day to pick up my order and saw the cashier/attendant, (not on his phone or staring blankly into space), wiping down the napkin holders. I almost gasped. This made me happier than the order I placed which is the OMG fried pork Arepacone. I hope they continue to provide their high quality food in a clean environment. Very fresh food - tastes homemade and the place is so impeccably clean - I felt like I could eat off the floor. They were even cleaning the windows when I walked in. I had a chicken arepa, which was delicious, as well as some empanadas (chicken and guava), also delicious. And the sauces were so flavorful.
