If you are craving authentic Colombian food, then you have to visit Pollos El Paisa. Pollos El Paisa is located on Old Country Rd in Westbury, NY. There is a small parking lot in the back, but there is also street parking available. I stopped by on a Monday around 12:30pm and was seated right away. I really liked the decor inside, like little houses on the wall, and it's really spacious inside. The menu offers traditional arepas, hearty soups, savory meat platters, and seafood delights. On Monday's, the soup of the day is a tripe soup, also known as Mondongo. Unfortunately, they already ran out of mondongo and only had chicken soup. I really like natural juices from Colombian restaurants so I got the mango juice in milk and my husband had the blackberry juice in milk. The natural juices can be made with milk or with just water. The mango juice was very refreshing. I usually order Bandeja Paisa, but decided to switch it up. I ordered the Beans with Pork Rinds, Frijoles con Garra. The beans with pork rinds was served in a pot and a plate of pork rinds, avocado, rice, plantains, and white corn arepa was served separately. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I enjoyed scooping the rice and dunking it into the pot of beans with pork rinds and having the whole spoonful. The portion was a really great size, I packed my leftovers and had it the next day. We had flan for dessert and it was very silky and smooth. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I am looking forward to coming back to Pollos El Paisa.

I love this place, the vibe is cozy and reminds me of a diner. It is my second time here and the prices are great. The servers all work together to make sure everyone is happy and getting their meals fast. The food is DELICIOUS. I had the arepas con queso y arroz con pollo with yuca fries and a cup of coffee. Outstanding portions and food. Viva Colombia! I will be back

Amazing diner for Spanish food. We came in the day before a snowstorm - usually the line is out the door. We were immediately seated, brought water and lemon. Already perfect service. We ordered the steak and onions and the skirt steak. Both came with rice and beans which was perfectly seasoned and portioned. The salad was great and they didn't slather the dressing on it and instead left you the dressing to put as much as you need/want. Steaks were very well cooked and came out really fast, steaming hot and cooked just as we asked. Ambiance was like a dive/diner but it was clean and service was very top notch.

If I'm correct this is a family owned Colombian restaurant and it feels like it!! Here you'll have the best authentic Colombian food on Long Island. I've tried many others before but they don't compare to this place. You'll Always be greeted in the most lovely traditional Colombian way which I love!! Everyone that works here is absolutely wonderful and the service is excellent!!!

Grilled chicken and steak with creole sauce.

Quaint place. Friendly staff. Small parking or but we found a spot with no problem. The food is out of this world. The plain rice had so much flavor. My wife got the grilled chicken with sweet plantains. I got the steak with Colombian creole sauce. I also recommend the guacamole and tostones. So good!! I can't wait to come back to my new favorite restaurant.

This is one of a better Columbia Restaurant, it looks like a Diner on the outside and inside. The menu has chicken, meats, pork, and seafood. We ordered the mountain platter which can come with steak or ground beef, the better is with ground beef. Comes with rice and plantains, egg, rice cake, and fried pork belly Their hot sauce goes well with a lots of different dishes. I ordered a Shrimp with garlic cream sauce, It comes with rice and French fried, it is so good. Give it 4.5 stars

My family and I have been here a couple of times and it's always been a great experience! It's definitely a popular spot as it can get busy at times but worth the wait!! The food is fantastic and flavorful, I've gotten something different every time and it never disappoints. I really enjoyed the mountain platter. The paella is also very yummy and their mango drink is really refreshing too! I like the set up of the spot and it's unique and cool. It might be hard to bring a super large party here but it's definitely a spot to try out and parking is super easy!

Shrimp Ceviche

Came here for a colleagues birthday lunch. We were seated quickly. The servers were very attentive and kind. I had the shrimp ceviche and the fried yuca and the tres leches. The ceviche was good I am not huge on the red sauce kinda feels like I'm having V8 so I basically ate around the saucy put the other sauces on my shrimp. The fried yuca well I prefer it not mashed and shaped and that how they do it. It was okay. Overall they have good portions good is fresh i would try them again. It's a casual spot can get a bit loud as people fill in.

Today I decided to eat in, I was craving the skirt steak, R&B and tostones. I ordered the steak med and it came out perfect. The tostones just the way I like them , nice and thin, and very fresh. The place was not busy when I arrived, but as I was leaving it was getting the dinner crowd. Service was great, and i enjoyed my meal to the max.

I've driven past this place for years, and I always wanted to try it. Today I did, parking was available, and the place looked a little dated inside, but clean. The service was very good, the staff was so willing to help and friendly. The food was ok, nothing special but ok. I did see other choices that I may come back to try. I had the pollo brasa and my wife the bandeja típica, they're both ok. Nothing special but good, I was a little disappointed with the yucas fritas but the flan was good.

Raised in a Colombian household here: I ordered la bandeja paisa - Chicharron: i've never had chicharron that tasted like absolutely nothing. ZERO flavor. Rice and Beans : very good Egg, avocado: self explanatory- nothing more or less than Carne asada: was flavored fine Arepa: they always show up cold so that's no one's fault, but this one wasn't too dried out, so not bad at all. I also tasted someone's rotisserie chicken which is what the place was known for and i thought it was super dry. This place is very small and cramped, I do not recommend going with more than 6 people. The parking lot is also kind of a mess. There are definitely better Colombian places to eat.

We stopped by on a Monday not realizing they were closed, and as we were walking in, the manager Pablo kindly let us know. But instead of just turning us away, he went above and beyond in a way you truly don't see often anymore. He took the time to recommend another nearby restaurant, gave us keychains, and then--on our way out--stopped us to ask our names and told us he would take care of our entire bill at the next place. That level of generosity and kindness completely blew us away. You can tell right away that this is a place that truly cares about people, not just business. Because of Pablo, we will absolutely be coming back to La Finca on a day they're open--and we're actually looking forward to it even more now. If this is how they treat people when they're closed, I can only imagine how amazing the experience is when they're open. Highly recommend supporting a business like this. Hospitality like that deserves all the success in the world.

Hidden gem! I came here for the first time last week and was excited to try this location as arepas…read moreare evidently their specialty. I ordered one of their signature arepas: The Joint and it was great. It was juicy, packed with a good amount of food and was a nice combination of flavors. As a plantain enthusiast this was the perfect arepa for me. 1 arepa would be filling for the average person. My boyfriend ordered the El Poco Loco for us to split which I wasn't too crazy about - it reminded me of a crispy chicken sandwich and I didn't care for the sauce on this. I didn't bother to eat this after the first bite. Additionally I got to try the tres leches and this was better than I expected. I'm always hesitant to try tres leches because there are so many ways to prepare it. This way was more classic and simple with just the cake and the 3 milks at the bottom. It came served in a square dessert cup. It felt a little small for the price but the taste was worth it. My only constructive feedback for the cake is that the cake would be even better if it was a little less dry as far as texture but that can be hard to balance as you don't want the cake to become too wet over time due to it soaking in the milk. I can't wait to revisit: I'll be getting the tres leches again and would love to try the El Guey.

Now the Empanada of ham and cheese was perfectly cooked and fresh. They have a variety of specialty drinks and of course bottled water. (see pix) Their food is Columbian and or Venezuelan and was made fresh. They do not have desserts of which there is an icecream place in their shopping strip and a deli, the later having various puddings for sale.
