Simply delicious! This cute restaurant is in the heart of Freeport but obviously does not received the traffic it deserves. We came here more towards the evening hours and it was empty. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is nicely decorated and well lit. They had music playing which was great and was not too loud. Our waiter Kanya, was extremely nice and attentive. We ordered the Carne Asada, which comes with a good size piece of flank stank, shrimp, white rice, avocado , and pico de gallo. We also ordered a side of beans & maduros. Everything is made to order and was fresh and delicious! The salad and house dressing was also fresh and delicious. So glad we tried this place and we plan to return with family/friends who we know will enjoy the food here as well!

I ordered 10 and couldn't wait to take a pic before my daughter and I devoured it

Pregnant and was craving some pupusas! These pupusas were absolutely delicious ! Even my 2 year old kept asking me for "more please " . Ordered 5 cheese 2 revuelta and 3 beans with cheese. I had to order the horchata which was also delicious. Everything was about 36 bucks. I paid with card so they charged 2 bucks more to pay with card honestly with these pregnancies cravings not even the inflation prices could stop me ! My daughter and I shared a cheese pupusa on the way home and the horchata was pretty much done by the time we got home. Albertina was a very nice lady she even helped me bring my food out to my car because I did have my 2 year old terror with me. I need to go back to the restaurant and try some other items ! Will definitely come back again and if your in the area and in the mood for pupusas pleaseeee go !

Hadn't been here in a long time but stopped in for lunch with my mom today. So glad i went back. Their food is great, just like I remember it and their service is amazing! I see their menu has shrunk a bit but I think that's great. I highly recommend.

I wanted my boyfriend to experience some authentic pupusas and this place was recommended to me. It definitely delivered the taste I was looking for and he enjoyed it very much! It can be difficult to find pupusas that the dough isn't too thick or the filling is the right taste but Albertina's was able to do it. They were pretty big as well and the price was reasonable. We also ordered nachos with guacamole and the guacamole was delicious. If you come here and order nachos, keep in mind this is a Salvadorian restaurant and it wont be the nachos you are expecting, but that doesn't mean they don't taste great. I did not try any of the other menu items, but if you come here, definitely get at least 1 pupusa to try. You wont regret it.

A nice hidden gem after Long Beach or Jones Beach, not far off the Meadowbrook Parkway. I believe the MTA bus to the LIRR drives past here. Everything is made to order and super fresh, I've only had the Pupusas here but I'm fine with that. They have other Salvadorian & Central American entrées, soups, and desserts here. Horchata is on point. The pickled cabbage for the topping of the Pupusas has a tiny kick to it, the tomato sauce has fresh oregano bits. Now onto the Pupusas, even if you don't eat pork- get the pork ones! The ground/shredded pork is seasoned well with spices & herbs (oregano? chiplin maybe?) & patties are grilled nicely. My other choice would be the Cheese & Chiplin (a tasty cilantro-like herb). Delish! Cheese has been missing this herb- why is this herb not in all cuisines?? They have a mixed pupusa (pork, cheese, beans) but I prefer just plain single flavor ones for the full flavor effect. Be generous with the tomato sauce & cabbage! It's a layered taste explosion. Excellent pricing & portions. I've had solo and nice group dinners here. Two large rooms, little ladies rolling Pupusas in the middle kitchen area. Average wait time, as things are made fresh! To-go orders pack a lot of cabbage & tomato sauce in sandwich baggies for you- so family style. A parking lot across the street. I'll be back soon! FYI- Pupusas are not gluten free, but there's lots of rice & yucca with entrees.

Full Disclosure: I've known the owner for years, but this review is truly an unbiased opinion…read more Good tasting food and cleanliness is very important in the food service industry. I've taken a tour of their kitchen before, and I can conclude that everything is in tip-top shape. The chef has been there for many many years and can do wonders with her food ingredients. If you truly want to taste Home-Made Salvadoran food (like Mama's secret recipe good), I suggest you stop by Las Brisas De El Salvador and give it a try. I've came here at least a dozen times and I'm still in love with their food! Also, the place has a super cute interior of sceneries from El Salvador. 1) Milk Shakes: I think I've tried almost all of their flavors and Honeydew, Cantaloupe, and Papaya shakes are personally my favorites. 2) My dad and I love their beef soup and my mom prefers their chicken noodle soup. 3) My mom LOVES their pupusas. FYI: I swore they had an english-verison menu a couple of years ago, but now it's all in spanish. However, they knew exactly what I wanted when I came here to order take-out. I would order new things, but unfortunately my 3 years of high school spanish did not do the menu any justice. I really missed the waitress that used to work there about 2 years ago, she was super awesome! Oh yea, it's CASH ONLY and there's a HUGE parking lot in the back!
