OMG where do I begin. Juan and his staff are amazing. We love their attention and prompt response. The ambience is mixed with sport events, parties and weekend Dj's or live performers. Their drinks are some of the best in town. The food is amazing. It is not overly seasoned or salty like most typical Spanish restaurants. Yet is flavorful and plenty. I really love this place. My best friend introduced me to this place one weekday during happy hour. Their happy hour are$8 frozen margaritas and honestly they have the best margaritas in the area. They have all the flavors you can possibly imagine. I especially love their mora and maracuya margarita; either on the rocks or frozen with tajin on the rim. I have tried several things from their food menu; if you are in the mood for a soup, they have a very good ajiaco. If you're in the mood for an appetizer, their fried calamari is also very good as well as the guacamole with crispy chicharrón. If you want to order something more filling, their steak with rice and beans is always delicious. The staff is here is always welcoming and friendly every time we stop by. The margaritas are delicious! I got a frozen tamarindo Margarita for $10. The shrimp quesadillas were nice and cheesy. It came with guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. $15. Bistec Criolla was worth it. $20. Saturdays are a bit noisy because they have music. This past Saturday were two singers , singing karaoke songs. Husband and wife - very good singers. Polite. The food is overall good. This is a hidden gem in Bellerose/Queens. It has a lovely restaurant feel to it. Everyone is welcomed. Families do bring their children. Street parking. We meet up with lifetime friends at this neighborhood Mexican / Colombian spot. Funny that this is right there in the middle of each respective houses. I d been hearing good things about this new place. Glad that we made it here today. I enjoyed my Mango margarita. It was strong and loved it suaveness. It paired well with my calamari. I had that a " it's 5 o'clock somewhere" feeling! The same feeling goes with my friend about his mojito drinks. Then we tried what the place is known for, their Colombian cuisine . We are familiar with the taste and the place met our expectations. The serving size of each plate was good for 2 persons and we had leftovers that we took home. Our server was great! I'll be honest, I came for the air conditioning because I was stuck in the area. It's too hot out. It's freezing in here LOL decided to go with the chips and guacamole first and it came with free salsa! (That wasn't on the menu) YAY! win. They had a different brand of apple soda, less sugar but equally delicious. If someone hadn't told me it was less sugar I wouldn't have tasted the difference. Now the winner, the corn on the cob was slathered extremely generously. I was licking my fingers and when I was done, I used the chips to scoop up the rest of whatever was slathered on. Steak, looked dry and not appetizing but don't let the looks deceive you, flavorful, soft not chewy. Kids ate it up and I snuck a few bites. Oh yes, tacos. Our favorite was the fish tacos! The spicy sauce was delicious! This place is moms and pops feel, it's not plated beautifully or fancy but it tastes absolutely amazing. Ive been here so many times because i live in the neighborhood. I dont know if it was just a iffy day for them but even the sides werent good the only thing good on this plate was the maduros (sweet plantains). The rice and beans had zero flavor. the rice seemed like it was from the day before which the person i had gone with too said the same. the bistec wasnt even bistec it was the same type of meat the use for carne asada (steak) . it was so hard i couldnt even get through half of it. it wasnt just hard but also just didnt taste good. if you see the picture attached you cant even see what plate this is because of how much onion the put. i love onions and am a huge fan and can eat a whole plate of just onions but these onions i didnt even eat more than a spoon. the condimento (condiments) used were so much and the taste was no appealing. its was to like strong in condiment. As i had said it was my first time ordering this plate , usually i get the carne asada but usually the steak comes iut hard so i wanted to try a meat thats known to be softer (bistec). Im not sure if they changed chefs since even the rice and beans were different in taste but wont be coming here as much anymore. read more

The portions are very large and my friend I shared the coconut shrimp appetizer, which was delicious. I ordered a frozen guava margarita (not too sweet, so it was perfect), and only main course I had the baked snapper with rice, but it also had tomatoes and veggies, as well as delicious yucca. I didn't care for the grilled chicken due to its lack of seasoning. It was on the bland side however the plantains were sweet and the beans were flavorful. I usually order the chicken quesadilla which is really good along with their margaritas. This place is pretty popular and especially the bar area. 3 stars overall, points for a good menu and drink options! The restaurant was not very crowded on a random Tuesday so making a reservation was not needed but we did given the size of our group. The tables were well spaced apart and the noise level was low. Music was playing on the overhead speakers and a few media screens here and there. Looking at the menu, I couldn't tell at first if it was meant to be Columbian or Mexican as it offered both cuisine options - so Latin American is the way it's categorized online. Part of the charm I guess, since you can get both cuisines in one place. The dishes were plated simply and proportioned well. I liked it, no fuss and easy to share if you wanted to. Started off with cocktails and appetizers. Guacamole and chips as well as shredded beef arepas. The way the arepa choices were listed was not clear...we thought we were getting one of each. That was not the case. A bunch of us got carne asada entrees and someone ordered a quesadilla. One couple ordered smart and got the Parrillada - grilled protein platter, think steak, pork loin, chicken breast, sausage and shrimp. That's a meal and then some. I wished my carne had more seasoning and the pork was crispy but a little too crisp for my taste. Good value on the pricing but nothing memorable about the dishes. I can see myself coming to this restaurant for the rest of the remainder of my life and NEVER get tired of it. First of all their drinks are phenomenal (shoutouts to the bartender) for never skimping out and making the HOUSE of MARGARITAS live by its name ‼ my favorite drink would be the Jack Honey but when I'm really feeling loose, any jumbo will always be an option. Prices are so good and for the amount of liquor they pour into the glass- no other place will compare ever again. Secondly, there has never been a moment where the food missed (shoutouts to the chefs) I've ordered the Entrana (my ride or die) every Friday night I go. When I tell you I can feel the very essence of my soul recover from seeing the meal get delivered to the table- trust me I mean it. The Entrana with a Jack honey as a combo is #1 like I love this meal so much I might name my first child Entrana and the next two Jack and Honey. I'm gatekeeping pictures of the Entrana for two reasons; one-once its delivered, it gets devoured and two-you deserve to be in awe once you get it like why would I ruin the surprise~ Lastly, I'm absolutely obsessed with this place ever since I stepped foot in it. I am a long time customer!! But let me tell you this is my first time trying their brunch menu and it does not disappoint!! My boyfriend and I got the bottomless brunch option with skirt steak with fries and the Casa burger with fries. They were delicious!!! Came on a Monday night for a bday dinner, for apps we had the elote, Chicharron, and wings. Elote was pricey for 3 pieces. Chicharron was good, cooked well. Wings were fine. For entrees the Bandeja Típica was good, Skirt Steak was a big portion but overcooked, also the chimichurri tasted like pesto. The Fried Red Snapper was good, also got the arepas which were really bad. The beans were good. My nephew got the penne vodka with chicken (I know it's not an Italian restaurant but he's a kid and can be picky) but the pasta was way overcooked and they used a bunch of seasonings that was really off putting for him (and us) so he didn't eat it. Just ordered a side of rice for him to eat with the chicken. We found it insane that they charge $5 for a very small bowl of white rice. The service was lacking, slight language barrier with our waiter but the issue was he was so busy we had to wait long periods to order, for him to return with requested items, for water, etc. He would get to the table then run off immediately. Asked for mayonnaise got blue cheese. One of the entrees arrived and then the other 4 took another 15 minutes. They did song happy birthday with a sign which was very festive and nice. I am so happy to have this restaurant in the neighborhood. I have never tried the Mexican dishes but my friend loves them . I always come for the Colombian food . Casa Margaritas had some great inexpensive food and drinks. I went during the Colombia vs. Argentina COPA match so naturally it was packed but the service still did not lack. The table ordered a couple quesadillas to share and they were tasty. In addition to that, naturally have to have some margaritas (especially with the establishment's name) and they didn't disappoint. Last night I went to Casa Margaritas for the first time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with my boyfriend and friend. I live in Bellerose and the town really doesn't have many nice restaurants anymore. Well I was in for a treat! Casa Margaritas will definitely be my new spot! We had the pleasure of meeting Juan C. who is the manager and who owns the restaurant along with his family. He was very nice! He was friendly, hardworking and very attentive to his customers. The food was delicious! I love Colombian food and I got a combination plate of rice, beans, rotisserie chicken, salad, and sweet plantains! The portions were so big I had to take it home. I also had the delicious tres leche cake and a mango mojito! It's a popular place and I called last minute for a reservation and they accommodated me right away.
